  • Nice workflow for creating polyrhythmic, polyphonic self running content with the note grid or poly grid in Bitwig Studio. Thanks to my patrons!

    I wish we had Voice modules in Note Grid like the "Voice Info", "To Voice", "From Voice" and "Voice Shift" modules in Reaktor that allow you to do all kinds of crazy parallel processing. But who knows, maybe one day we'll get "Voice Grid".

    Well damn! I was trying to find a way to get Bitwig to generate notes with its various grids and not have to use VST note generators, but I'm obviously not smart enough to figure it out on my own. Thanks for sharing this!

      Yes! I came here to say exactly that! Which is awesome, because it definitely is a great way to find melodies!

    Man, this is amazing! I can’t wait for my working day to finish so I can experiment with these ideas… I had no idea the Voice Stacking enabled this kind of use, outstanding! Cheers man 👍

    Also, if you try to use pitch or phase in calculations (for example to weight a probability if a pitch is randomly transposed higher rather than lower), you''ll see that max pitch and phase go up in multiples of the number of voice stacks (*128 and *1.0, per, respectively). Would love it if this was better documented lol

    Is there a way you can think of to send each voice to a separate midi channel?

    • @PolarityMusic
      @PolarityMusic  2 роки тому +2

      you can modulate the midi channel on the note out with the voice stack modulator

    This is fantastic! I can't even imagine all the possibilities. Numerology has totally lost its appeal for me.
