A company called Conductive labs makes a hardware device called NDLR that makes chord progressions based on the circle of fifths, two arpegiated patterns plus a drone. I always wondered why no plugin manufacturers would do something like that. Well, you pretty much made that device inside Bitwig. This thing is really useful, yes it can help you to come up with cool chords progressions and melodies but it’s also really helpful in the sound design stage to find sounds that go really well together.
An excellent device and video. It will be useful for trying out different scales and modes with a chord sequence. I really like how you make upcoming Bitwig releases even more appealing. Thanks.
I'm so lucky we finally got the Note-Grid. Btw, I really wish the randomize and the clear button of the Steps Modulator could be modulated. I don't get, why this is not possible.
Is there any way to create timed triggers like in phaseplant. Where i can trigger something to happeb at the end of a sequence? Like if i wanted it to randomize itself at the end of 2 bars and be a real generative patch?
Awesome random melody generator great work. Is it poossible to send midi out from this grid device to another track to record the midi notes and if so how ?
the note grid always sends out note data. so just create a new instrument track, and set the input to the output of the note grid (in the dropdown below "tracks")
@@PolarityMusic Oh ok cool, sorrry im a newbie to bitwig just made the switch from ableton. I think i tried what you are suggetsing with a different grid device (not note grid) and it didnt send any midi info out, thank you 🙂
This is dope preset, but will anyone tell me why this preset seem to work when I put it on Bitwig channel, but it doesn't output any notes so the Instrument behind picks them up?
This is crazy deep..I know you made a cool looper style device, but when is Bitwig going to make a native looper? thats sets the tempo , it would really be fun 🌀
that's pretty neat

You are the Bob Ross of generative sounds. Very useful. Thanks a lot :-)
Man, I love that you do all the ‘hard thinking’ so we can just get on with creating! Superb stuff dude, cheers. ✌️

These tutorials are far better than the Bitwig official ones
The Circle of fifths note grid device is pure genius!
hey snowpoke! I haven't seen this user name for a long time :D
This is superb for me.
I havent delved into the grid yet and this is the perfect first project and very useful to boot!!
A lot of thanks

Once again. . Awesome stuff

i hope we get it in some update :) 🤞
It looks like the synthwave melodies generator. Like HOME tracks if you now him. Good tip!
This is game-changing
Wow ! So good ! Again !!!

no problem, if you hit roadblocks, let me know :)
I'm the operator with my Bitwig calculator
By pressing down a special key
It plays a little melody 🎵
Nice tip! This can also be sent out to outboard gear thought a HW Instrument as well, correct?
sure!
So NEAT !
this is so sick!

Brilliant ;)
Is it safe to update now or should I wait for the official release?
its pretty stable atm but i would still wait for the release
@@PolarityMusic that little settings "oops" on 4.2b2 was... kinda ridiculous tbh, and I don't know how that was even missed XD
I had an audio engine crash yesterday only while tweaking some knobs in the grid.
I skipped b2 for some random reason :D
😮😮😮🤩🤩🤩🚀🚀🚀
I hope bitwig pays you because you just got them a customer
NOT FOR THE TRASH BIN
6:27 Trying not to come off as a douche but strictly speaking that's not d# minor pentatonic 😇
