- In May 2014 fans were asked to submit their questions to Jack Bruce via the official Facebook and Twitter pages: / jackbrucemusic & twiter.com/jackbrucemusic Jack took some time out to answer a few of them. Enjoy!
What a humble man he was and such an intelligent, and colourful musician. Sleep well Jack.
Jack Bruce is the guy who lit my musical fire back in 1967. I was never the same.
With me too especially with Baker and Clapton
Yes! Especially with Cream!@@Cream1968
RIP Jack. You're the Best!
I was so blessed to have met Jack once while he was touring with West, Bruce and Lang at Pirates World in Dania, Florida. Also having my question answered on this interview series. Jack remains a constant inspiration in my life.
Jack wrote and recorded some of the finest music ever done....recordings like "Deserted Cities Of The Heart"....."White Room"......"Theme From An Imaginary Western"......."Tickets To Waterfalls"........"Escape To The Royal Woods On Ice"....."Folk Song"
"Pieces Of Mind"......."Golden Days"......."Ships In The Night"....."Without A Word"......"Life On Earth" and the MAGNIFICENT "Out Into The Fields"....are some of the greatest of all time.....We will never again see the likes of someone like Jack..
Jack is my fav bass player ever. Crossroads live was so impressive, wow what skill.
Rest in Peace Jack. Such a great talent that will always be missed.
At 25:47 in this interview, Jack answers my question. Wow, it blew me away!
Rest in peace Jack . Thank you for the music ❤
Jack will live forever. Amen.
He died just 5 months later. RIP Jack. Thanks for the great music.
Thank you Jack for changing my life once I discovered the fretless bass,THANK YOU AGAIN SIR
Thx a lot, Jack, for the sharing .......
this is such a goldmine for a bass guitarist like me! i have more respect for him than any other musician i’m so grateful for this interview.
Thanks Jack !
Listen to the tonality of his voice.
Truly a Spirit of depth, and giving open to the moment.
UA-cam r' endures a great service here ...
Peace for all -
Jack, Thanks Man for continued inspiration! I loved the answer to my question.
there are some musicians who are a joy to listen to ...for me, one is Jack. Another, John Mayall. They just choose the right words
Agree with you. Jack and John were/is the brain, soul and Leader of Bluesbreakers and Cream respectively. Greetings Pablo. ✌️
Intelligent questions and great answers from one of my all time favorite bass players.
Thanks jack for bein in my lifetime
AHHH, that I can say too!
The great Jack Bruce. RIP.
A gem of an interview
Just posting with respect to my childhood HERO. I was 11yrs in 67 and music was everything to me. I lived every minute listening to albums my friends older brothers and sisters turned me on to and started hanging out with older teenagers. Started playing playing Bass and Guitar in 68 and never stopped. Jack Bruce was and IS the greatest of them all for many reasons, but his Bass playing and Singing were truly magical... I loved him very much.
ok ...now all I want to hear is how Jack Bruce put Dylan Thomas to music..... !! This is the most special interview you've done. THANKS for indulging your best fans, Mr Jack Bruce xxx
Very fortunate to hear this
Thanks for posting this. Always dug Jack. I'd forgotten about "Dance the Night Away". It's a great track.
A legend!
Great interview. And,thanks for not choosing "the one" lead guitarist. Great new album - and thrilled I could get it on vinyl. Longing for you to play "down-under".
This is so interesting and important to hear. Thank you for posting this interview.
What a hero.
Jack Bruce is music personified.
Cracking good show , old sport !
@23:10 I love We're going wrong too Jack....
I heard this interview and his interview at the Y in NYC and he sounded so ill....so sad. I really wished Cream had reunited in the late 90s... before the transplant. RIP, Jack, you inspired me and your music is on my car audio system every day
sonic trail blazer
❤
He sounds so frail in this clip, sadly. He and McCartney are the reasons I picked up bass.
Unfortunate choice of background noise is very distracting.
The "Background Noise" is songs from the "Silver Rails" album that was released around the same time as this interview was conducted. If you cant distinguish the voices from the music, i believe a doctor can help you..maybe.
@@Mortslake Sorry to be negative. This sounds like a valuable interview. The overlay of two vocal tracks divides the attention and makes it difficult to sort out. Nevertheless, thank you for creating and posting this
