Thought the same thing. Tho the HK version is much better than the much more common Cobray manufactured briefcases. But I understand why, the more high tech something is the more chances for something to go wrong. And considering what this Briefcase was designed for, it would be a VERY bad day for you if you loaded one up, got within distance of a target/ someone finds you out and you have to retaliate, you pull the trigger, hear an electric motor struggling before you get off maybe one or two rounds, have the thing malfunction, then quickly die from lead poisoning as whomever you decided to try and shoot returns fire at you while you try to remedy the malfunction. The simpler you can make something the easier it is to make sure it will work when the time comes. Our tech IS highly advanced, but time and time again I find that we move too fast, always trying to make the next big thing when we can barely perfect the invention that came previously. That's why guns still remain the choice for any military force, we have weaponry that is a bit more advanced, but not near reliable enough to seriously use in the field. Much easier to work with what you already know and perfect THAT item than to work uphill with something that's still in its infancy o:

thats actually a very good idea and a good way to make it a bit more practical i have seen a few proper ones of these made with real guns and i dont think anyone has added a laser pointer it would get around the issue of not haveing sites for CQB at least

Squibbo if he added a scope and/or a stock, there will be no point in it being a briefcase. It might be a good idea to have a picatinny rail on it though. (So you can attach/detach almost anything mid battle)

The technicians that built the briefcase mac10 almost shot themselves when operating it remotely for testing. If i recall correctly, the trigger got stuck, high fire rate and recoil made it slide out from the vise, tip, and rotate horizontally towards the testing personnel behind it. Fortunately it emptied it's magazine before shooting anyone.

Your close as well as Ian, but having been there when Wayne Danials pushed the button the fact is , it was all terribly thought of to begin with as it was never secured, sitting on a range bench, luckily only ten rounds loaded and when it stopped it was facing Sharon his wife.

There's also a Mac 10 briefcase gun, but it has some flaws, compared to the HK MP5 one
The Uzi seem better suited though. Technically you could even change mags in you attach a mechanism for that and put a hole in the bottom

@@natfonck I can see both sides of this argument, but given how simple something like this can be I don't think this increases the risks. Actually this build is way more complex than either the H&K or the MAC versions. Especially the MAC shows how simple and cheap something like this can be, if you don't care the least bit about safety that is.
