My eyes nearly popped out when I saw you use your fingers to plunge down the courgette - the food processor comes with a plunger to do that so you don't chop your fingers off
How can people complain about the kitchen setting. It takes nothing away from your videos Grace and is so normal and realistic lol? Love your videos xxz
You said that the Salmon Parma ham recipe was your favourite recipe of Jamie Oliver’s so I was thinking for a video you could cook your favourite recipes from different chefs for 24 hours or cooking from chefs websites you haven’t tried before for 24 hours and rate them? ❤
I have to say with the blender/food processor thing I think you filled it too full with the meat mixture. It’s a mini so I think you’ve got to take that into account. Also those kinds of blenders always need the liquid at the bottom to get things going. It’s not powerful like those vitamix blenders that are $500. Just for the record I’m not a rep for the celebrity! 😂 just think you have to use them how they are intended for best results😀
I was taught there are different types of spatulas, your orange one is designed to be used for baking which is why the sides of a bowl were easy to be scraped but Mary’s looks more like a cooking spatula, used as an alternative for a wooden spoon they’re designed to be harder partially to accomodate the heat they can be used with.
A few years ago, here in Canada, Jamie Oliver's brand did a knife set in one of our major grocery chains. You had to collect points to buy them or something. My parents and inlaws got really into it, but I'm just glad they both have decent knives I can use when I visit! The bread knife is stellar. Probably isn't the same set, but great as well!
The best knife I have is a Heston Blumenthal chef's knife that I bought totally by chance for a fiver! My local Waitrose has a small home section, and because I am a regular and always chat with the lovely ladies who work there. One evening, not long before closing time, I was checking out my shopping as usual when one of the ladies dashed up to me with a Heston Blumenthal chef's knife, and asked if I would like it for £5 as they were reducing them, and they knew that I love to cook (we often chat about what I am cooking). This was years and years ago, and it is still absolutely brilliant - hands-down the best knife I have ever had, sharpens really well. Obviously they were being discontinued at John Lewis, so the knives he puts his name to nowadays are probably a different supplier, but I would happily buy a knife with his name on again.
With the knives. You need to test them when they become dull. That's a test of a good knife. When grating the courgette. Use the insert to push down on the courgette to grate it rather than risking your fingers. Lastly I learned something that sesame oil does in fact have a high smoke point. Chefs add it at the end because they don't overpower the flavours in their dish.
My experience with those kind of knife sets is that they usually last like 1-2 year before they get really dull. I know all knifes have to be sharpened. It's soo worth investing in really good knives because it saves you a lot of money and cuts your food really well. My mom bought some knives from Switzerland like 6 years ago and they are still so sharp.
I loved the look of Hexclad when I saw them but the price is so high that I went for Ninja pans, a large fryimng pan and a saucepan and I love them. You should try Nadyas' bakewear range, I have a few bits and they are really good quality.
If you want an amazing blender get a Vitamix, expensive but completely worth the penny. Oh and thank you so much for trying the Hexclad, I’ve been on the fence about getting one myself.
I have been thinking about the Gordon Ramsey line. And now I'm sold! It may take awhile bc to be fair they are pricey...but apparently worth it!! Thank you!
I LOVE all my hexclad pans. I got (/requested hihi) them as a gift from my parents when moving in to my new home, and I'm never looking at any other pans. There's still some skill required (proper heating/seasoning, use of some oil, etc) as things can stick, similar to using a stainless steel pan - but it's so much easier. They're also dishwasher safe, I've been doing that since I got them and they're good as new. And the sear you get with them as well! It's amazing. I was a bit nervous before I got them as they're not cheap and was scared it was all just hype, but they do deserve it. Also whenever I watch Ramsay's shows like Hell's Kitchen, I always feel a bit excited knowing I'm using the same pans they do haha. Just like a little kid 😅
I know you’re not really a cooking channel anymore but it’d be super neat if you bought old cookbooks and followed the recipes like Cooking the Books does! It would be fun to see the difference in U.K. recipe books from the American ones!
This Italian appreciates the 'caffettiera' in the background :D. I thought the concept of a sieve is to block the powder (and then you manually tap it to break the little bits), not let it easily through? But don't mind me, I've still got my £2, 6 years old dodgy plastic sieve\pasta colander from the London corner shop, so... what do I know xD
Mr Martin’s definition of mini seems to be consistent with his definition of a little bit of butter 😂😂😂 I adore him, but he must have ears of steel coz that thing is loud!
Funny your vid didn’t post for me in Toronto until around noon on Tuesday. I miss your family videos. Such great family dynamic. Maybe you could put Mr. Grackle in but put Harry Styles’ face on top of his. lol. Even better, Paul Hollywood.
I had the Rachel Ray food processor, and it was horrible. Thank god I got it on a clearance sale, but I know why it was on clearance! I don't really trust celebrity endorsed kitchen products now, although they had a grocery store promotion for Jamie Oliver's knives here a few years ago, you'd get one free if you spent x amount of dollars each week, and people raved about them! I didn't bother because I already had a Kitchen Aid knife set that was really good. I'm hooked on Ninja products. I regret picking the Nutibullet over the Ninja blender. Every Ninja product I've used is top notch excellent.
In case you aren't actually aware - people dislike Jamie Oliver because of his rhetoric around childhood obesity and his "solutions" to the problems (read: he basically boiled everything down to "you're poor and you want to be fat, that's your problem" - it's more nuanced than that, but it's not good). He's also a huge hypocrite. He talks about getting kids to eat healthy, then plasters his name on highly processed foods. And to top it all off, he's incredibly smug about it all.
Oh my heavens, I was yelling at the screen, GRACE DONT USE YOUR FINGERS TO PUSH THE VEG DOWN TO THE GRATER! If mother booth watches this video she’s going to call you Grace.
You’re expecting a lot from a FISH spatula. They aren’t made to stir flip veggies they are bendy so it can get under delicate fish and delicately flip it over. Also…not a fair shot with the blender. You should always put some liquid in first. You over filled the compact food processor. Just curious…did you happen to read the direction sheet? Sorry for the tough review of your review. You are very sweet and I really do appreciate your videos.
Because he took turkey twizzlers (an ultra processed breaded and twisty monstrosity) away [from school lunches] see Jamie's School Dinners for more info.
My eyes nearly popped out when I saw you use your fingers to plunge down the courgette - the food processor comes with a plunger to do that so you don't chop your fingers off
Grack, it’s the wee plastic bit that you didn’t know what was for. It’s for pushing the food through.
I mean, you can see the blade lol
Those plungers are useless, sometimes it’s safer to use your hands.
@@FlapjackRyou could literally use anything else to push it down but ur hands. Get a pencil or butter knife even
To be fair, most blenders would need some liquid added to the fruit, in my experience.
Exactly. This was not a fair review. Every blender needs liquid even a Nutribullet. Not coming across well.
Thanks for saying so. That was exactly what I thougt.
Or even softer fruit with lots of juices like the satsuma at the bottom.
Couldn't give a monkeys about the kitchen setting Grack, I'm here for you!!!

The clear plastic bit you didn’t know what it was is to push the food in to save your fingers! Also to stop it coming out the top 😁
You said that the Salmon Parma ham recipe was your favourite recipe of Jamie Oliver’s so I was thinking for a video you could cook your favourite recipes from different chefs for 24 hours or cooking from chefs websites you haven’t tried before for 24 hours and rate them? ❤
Yes, this! 👆

Love the real life world with Grace! ❤
In defense of the food processor with the meatballs, I think You had it overloaded!!!
The Mary Berry items are clearly just the most generic cheap kitchen utensils with her name slapped on them and a 300% mark up.

Ya I have the plate sets, to be honest they didn't hold up.
The best knife I have is a Heston Blumenthal chef's knife that I bought totally by chance for a fiver! I also fell in love with Jamie Oliver when I was in junior high school! I was gutted when I found out he was already married 😂
Grace , could you do a testing big cook little cook recipes? 😅
'I'm never gonna use another pan agaaaaain', sang to the tune of I'm never gonna dance again - George Michael 😂😂

I don’t think I have laughed so much at somebody dropping carrots before😂

I think that particular kind of spatula/ flipper is used for things that are fragile like fish. I don't think it's an all-purpose type tool.
The Hexclad looks amazing ... but the price point is keeping me from ordering!!!!
I have ninja pans that I’ve had for a couple of years and they’re fantastic! They’re good quality but at a cheaper price point than hexclad
The worst cookware ever!
My ninja has lasted less than a year in terms of non stick and I am really kind to them! 😭
Does it mean the holes on the sieve are really big and that’s why it goes through so well?
This camera! This mic!😍 Chefs kiss Grace fabulous work
