The thing on the right inside the fairing is the regulator / rectifier. It regulates the voltage of the bikes electrical components and battery charging. Well done on fixing the problem 💪🏻
The rectifier is a very very common failure on bikes, mine decided to let go on me a couple of weeks ago, it turned my 2 hour journey home into a 7 hour one 😂
Glad you got it fixed! Maybe a bit less brute force and ignorance when you have a mechanical issue though? You essentially caused that damage yourself😢
@@6TWO1 ahh sweet man. I had a bit of a dig around that cbr600rr you had was Soo nice. Also man I couldn't agree with you more bikes are just freedom however it makes driving a car even more frustrating knowing that if you was on a bike you would've been long gone.
I considered £100 (£80+VAT) at the KTM dealership a bitter pill. £144 is daylight robbery! This (as well as disinterested and cowboy garages) is why I try to do a lot of work on my own bikes.
@@pauln6803 same Paul I couldn’t believe it!! I even said to her did I hear you right??? Insane! I’m glad i gave it a go myself though, enjoyed it a lot working on it
Nice fix. Well done! Glad it's all sorted and you saved yourself being robbed by the main dealer 😆👏🏼
Thanks mate I actually loved figuring it all out
@@6TWO1 I hear you. I love getting results like that myself. Well done again 👏🏼
Stoked that you fixed it yourself in the garage! No better feeling when it's all back together and working again.
Thanks Craig honestly was buzzing !

As well as converting the A/C current from the generator to D/C.
A cheap multimeter is an essential tool for motorcycle maintenance and repair.

Thanks for sticking around Ryan mate I appreciate it
Respect for trying to fix it yourself.. those labour prices would urge me to do the same lol.
Thanks mate I couldn’t believe it when the girl said £144 an hour!!
Really nice to see how happy you are around the new bike, inspires me to get another

If them screws work free it's dangerous. Will be checking mine. If that locked while riding jeez.
Definitely check mate. More than one person told me about this too
Usually won't crank on. Side stand brother

£144 per hour is diabolical and guarantee they wouldn't be done within 1 hour they'd stretch it to 3hrs minimum
Honestly I thought exactly the same
