what i love about your tutorials are that bare bone. no embellishments, no extra detail. just the simple foundational composition.
you could've used gouache, watercolor, acrylic paint/marker, pen/ink to do shading, line work, textures, tints... and everyone can still do that, but no one **needs** to those things to make a pleasing drawing. especially if one lacks funds. art supplies are second expensive to lab supplies.
im not exaggerating. i used to be the procurement officer for my lab, i know the prices.

@@ayoreyesu that's what happens when you live in a 3rd world country that touts itself as "the best country in the world". shit is crazy expensive here, inflation is insane and jobs don't pay. money can easily prevent you from leaving your house let alone hobbies.
just to give you an idea, a Big Mac meal in nyc is $18.56 atm.

Sorry mate but that's lame.
Did this in art class in Paris, and the teacher was mad at me ! Blending stick is like painting with butter, it creates shapeless, ugly grey zones. That's easy level one blurring crap. NEVER use a blending stick, or just here and there.
Great classic artists never used blending sticks.
