    Mr Srivastava made an important point that the problems begins with us. UPSC is not a magic wand. It is a means to an end for both the Govt. and the aspirant. But before UPSC all the aspirants spend atleast 15 years in the education system. Whats ethics and values do we develop during that time? How much do we introspect? Does our education teach us integrity, cooperation, respect for laws , value of human life etc? UPSC, the bureaucracy, schools are all part of the same system we call society. We need to think of changes at system level to really solve issues at their core.

    As per reports, Dilip also offered prayers at the Mohtadevi Temple in Ahmednagar and vowed to offer a 1.5 kg silver crown to the goddess if Munde was nominated to either the Lok Sabha or the Rajya Sabha.
    He later offered a silver crown to the goddess after the BJP fielded Munde from the Beed Lok Sabha seat, a seat that her father late Gopinath Munde represented. Moreover, her uncle Manik Khedkar has been the taluka president of the BJP for 5 years.

    No child is born unethical or corrupt. One becomes these things as one grows up. Which shows that the system of rewards and punishment is broken. These issues exist in every society. But we need to ask whether corruption is the norm or it is the exception. In India common sense says corruption and unethical behaviour is the norm. These are widespread in every sector in every field. Even at the level of family. If we look for these we will find them all around us begining from our own families. How are we going to solve this issue? I argue by fixing the education system first of all. Most of us spend atleast 15 years in school and college. We are in a process of evaluation and examination. At the end what is the result? What do we take from this to our lives? Just a piece of paper we call degree. What about ethics, values, compassion, team spirit and cooperation?

      What really is the purpose of the UPSC exam? It is to select candidates with desirable attributes for administration. It is not to distribute these jobs among aspirants from different backgrounds. The CSAT paper is basic aptitude paper. The problem is not with CSAT but with the education system. Why doesn't 10+2+3 years of education prepare a person to score well in the UPSC exam? Why do aspirants need to take separate coaching for these competitive exams?

    • @expeditioner9322
      @expeditioner9322 Місяць тому

      @@RobinKumar-tw9zf I have not seen the 2023 paper even then I don't think they asked questions related to concepts outside secondary level exams. IIT asks questions from senior secondary level. CAT exam also asks questions at secondary level concepts. The problem is we don't learn to solve problems in school. What we learn is pattern matching. That no longer works in these exams. There is no point complaining about the level of difficulty. Things will only get harder in the future. Better focus on learning problem solving skills. There are plenty of resources available but you need to look beyond the exam coaching channels.
