  • With the pipeline project in North Myrtle Beach in full swing it has created some amazing shelling opportunities. If your looking for shells in Myrtle beach this is the place to be. there are even reports of people finding meglodon teeth. We were lucky and had a great haul of shells so we headed back home to clean them up!! they came out great and we should have a part 2 of some crafts we did with all the shells we got in Myrtle beach #myrtlebeach #shell #sharkteeth #ocean

so cool to see NMB, and heading down Main street. OMG, patriots fans, uughghghghggh. we can't be youtube friends any longer, lol. I'm a colts fan!!!!!!!!!!!. oh yeah sand fleas make great bait, i'm sure you know that. sometimes hard to find down there, one day there are present and others might be out too far to see and get them. got some really nice welk style or type shells, very cool. if i can give you some advice when dunking the shels in the acid mixture, get yourself some long handled plastic tongs, makes it so much easier to grab the shells and then into the cleaning water. but great job, the welks looks awesome. amazing what you can find in the ocean. i think that stuff you stated that looked like concrete was actually coral or some type. happy beaching. can't wait to get down, thanks for sharing!!!

You should check that spot out when your down there! It was cool to see all the shells! Those sandfleas are definitely hard to find feel like i strike out more than I find them around here

@@coastalcarolinaliving its all good, was just picking having fun. but good for you playing in college. just happy to give some suggestions. will see about getting down that way. we don't stray too far from cherry grove on the beach much, but maybe. i got ya on the sand fleas. its funny one time we were sitting by the water in our chairs several years back, and you could see the sheen in the water as the waves went back out, and there were hundreds of them, next day, nothing. keep up the great work, and stay cool

Yep, that spot used to be the shore break cut where I surf fished until the two hurricanes took away all the fleas last year and the City brought in that incessant Crain that goes CLANK...CLANK all day long. The City contract states that the drain pipe project is to be all wrapped up in December. I can't wait. I do wonder if those pilings might hold some sheepshead - maybe see if I can get at them in the kayak this fall on a low surf day after the beaches clear out a bit...hmmm.

Definitely worth a shot, always wanted to hit that private broken pier in cherry grove for sheeps
