I have a pair of Nano 2.0's that I have worked out 6 x a week plus quite a few runs for 1.5 years and they are just now wearing out. I can't speak for the other brands, but that is pretty impressive in my book. Now, I just have to find a new pair that aren't colored like a fishing lure since I wear them outside the gym.
Reebok bought into Crossfit because the saw a profitable partnership, Nike could have done this, or Adidas etc. Now if Nike's shoe is better and cheaper then so be it and hopefully Reebok will be smart enough to make a reply. I have bought cheap shoes and clothing that did not fair well with many of the workouts. My Innov8 and Lululemon has held up nicely and Are worth the prices. I have just bought my first pair of Nanos and this was due to them being on sale and cheaper then Innov8. I hope they hold up but as for me, I will spend my life being healthier and eating better then ever and Crossfit will be a part of this journey.
So is the brand of Crossfit really going to sell out to Reebok now rather than worrying about their athletes becoming more functionally fit? What a disgrace, makes it really easy to buy Nikes
Nano's and metcons will be flying off the shelves, businesses thrive off competition. But in all honesty I'm going to stick with the company that did it first! Also design of the sneaker may be different but the specs are exactly the same!!
They are terrified. The Metcons are a superior shoe in all respect. Fit finish and function. Plus they are more stylish. Wear a pair of Nanos outside of a box and that is one ugly shoe. Metcons can be worn out to a workout to a movie or to anywhere you can wear sneakers to. I also find it funny to say Nike designed a shoe for a sport they know nothing about? Nike's R&D is far superior to Reeboks and they had some decent CF athletes working with them for a while as they were developing the shoes. Nanos are ugly and everyone I have asked have always been split on them. It is not a universally loved shoe for crossfit. I would wear a pair of Inov-8 over Nanos.
So it's possible you've had them for a few days now, if you have them at all. How precisely did you ascertain their superiority already? I'm rather curious ...
Glassman never claimed to be involved with the design of the shoe. He's the founder and one of the faces of Crossfit. He's just doing what a spokesman for the sport would do.
I saw the Nike Metcons are they looked well designed for crossfit needs. I still love the nanos and i think they're great shoes for running, jumping, lifting. Kelly Starr helped improve the design of the nanos as they developed. What more do you want? KELLY STARRETT!!!!!
i paid 75 euro for the shoes (expensive) but it was supposed to be 120 without discount (super expensive). i always trained in cardio, cycling, running, swimming and when i started crossfit there was weight lifting this shoe made me feel that i was doing the form right and it is true and for health reasons it worths all its money. good job by the designers and the engineering people behind it. But one note, you can not expect to perform as good in a run as a person with running shoes on and also when comes to box jumps you feel the the lack of shock absorbtion or cushion to protect the sensitive parts of the knees/heels etc
They sound afraid of Nike ha
Exactly what i'm thinking. Interesting timing to release this video haha
Was going to post the same thing. Up vote

Nano 2.0's are the best!!
Greg Glassman is a joke. Are you trying to help people get healthy, or sell Reeboks?

"Mr. Glass" looks like an out of shape, beaten down old drunk. How could anyone take his sales pitch for Reebok seriously.
I'll stick with my minimalist Merrells, thank you very much.

Just got my Metcons....Love them more than the Nano's.
Anyone know if these are sold in stores anywhere? I'm not going to buy them without trying them on first because I have horrible luck with that.
reebox outlet stores sell them and sport check in canada does as well
Glassman had nothing to do with the design of that shoe. I guess Castro comes by it honest.

inov8 beats all
