Awesome Saw. Use mine daily. Still use corded 77, but to be able to move around job site without cord for cuts here and there, timesaver for sure. Would definitely buy another.💪🇺🇸
Very nice saw. Can't wait for the tool duels. I like the true worm drive over the rear handle saws. The only negative I can think of is that Acme Tools didn't surprise me with one 😁 now that's insane in the brain. Great review as always
I got one used on a small fence job once. with 2 batterys and charger for 300 bucks even.. Is that a good deal?. What would you value that deal at compared to what it would cost me for those items full price in the store.?
If you got it in good condition that’s a great deal. I just bought the 2 battery combo kit with tax for $440. I’m probably going to return it and buy a used one for cheaper
@@ToolReviewZone I'm taking that deal skil website says 299 for the battery by itself 399 instead if 700 dollers for 2 batteries and charger and saw what a steal
If they make a table saw or even a double bevel compound miter saw with this battery system and make them tools as well as they made this saw with very a #gamechanger
I will pull the trigger on a cordless sidewinder from skill that type of skill is what I like right they still have only corded but I did hear they are working on it is it going to be the same battery or a 20v 5.0 since it's made by Chevron I can dig it
5 years later and they still don't have any other tools that use this battery. Supposedly 1 battery will last all day, I have my doubts it would last all day on a jobsite, but if that is the case that would be good because they want $250 for just a battery. Would be cool if they'd come out with a worm drive cordless 10" table saw. I have their corded worm drive 10" table saw and its awesome, so a cordless version with this battery platform would be excellent.
Hi TRZ would it be possible to do a matchup between this saw and the Milwaukee wormdrive style one? Nobody has done it yet and it would be great so I can decide which one I should get
I've got the Milwaukee, and while I've not used this skillsaw, from the videos ive seen online it's not even close, at least in terms of power. The Milwaukee will protest a little bit when taking on pressure treated lumber. It wont stop, but slows down a bit. This thing cuts through it like its 1/4 luan.
Cheers for the video content! Sorry for chiming in, I would love your opinion. Have you heard about - Schallingora Dexterous Programme Scheme (just google it)? It is a smashing exclusive guide for taking a drawing and turning it into wood without the headache. Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my GF at very last got great results with it.
I think the milwaukee won that one just bec a lifty and righty can use it but it would be hard for a righty to use the skil the milwaukee does not need any oil like the skil the milwaukee is got protetive system so u dont burn it up its also lighter im not saying milwaukee is better then anything but i like skil they ben around a long time made vreat tools i just think milwaukee won this one it is smaller then the skil to who wants to pack a big saw around
That is such a great looking circular saw but I really don't kneaded enough to buy it either have my circular saw from Milwaukee or I'm always using the chop box but that is a good-looking saw
Personally I don't care about positive stops I always check it anyway and make sure it is on the correct angle positive stops are just for inaccurate lazy people.
I bought one. It was a fortune and one battery died almost immediately. Nothing but stall and excuses from Skil till the warranty expired, and THAT was their new excuse. Not to be trusted. The new battery is about the cost of a Skil corded saw.
Did they name the beginning of that circular saw after you because you got nothing but skills what about that brother nobody could touch you and skills
Plug in saws are there for you when you really need them. Battery saws are only for egos, don’t expect any battery saw to have your back in the trenches. My AC Skilsaw is a partner but the battery one I have is a rookie. Not worth it, at least my pedigree of work ethic. AC all the way, battery power is good for you, not for me. I’m going to UA-cam a real battery saw challenge. The saws lag top end torque. They start nice but horrible finishers!
If that’s their five amp battery I can imagine what their 12 amp batteries going to look like with the same battery technology. It’ll definitely have a long run time
Awesome Saw. Use mine daily. Still use corded 77, but to be able to move around job site without cord for cuts here and there, timesaver for sure. Would definitely buy another.💪🇺🇸
This saw doesn't bog down ... pretty incredible
I just picked mine up this week from Menards! This saw is incredible!
Awesome. Thanks for the feedback
Battery last forever?
Another great Acme tools (kinda) sponsored video NOT Coptool. 😝 Congratulations on the 35k! You are really taking off 👍😎👍
Hahaha, NOT COP TOOL
Nice. Think I'm going to wait for Dewalt to answer back in June. Congrats to all the early adoptors though, looks awesome!
wait???, DeWalt in June?
I’m trying to get one in the UK, do i need to convert the power for the charger to work?

What's up John! Yeah bro, I'm goi6to start the Duels this week!!!!👊💪🤘

What type of oil do u put in it
U should check run time on both saw that what matters to
I see them coming out with more tools like routers miter saw and table saw even thickness planer. The way tech is going it's way possible now.
marvin benjamin they actually already have the new miter saw out. It’s badass. Have the table saw as well. Love them both.
How would this stack up with the Ridgid5x circular saw?
Hello, I just ordered this saw. What is the best guide rail to use with it? Thank you!

"Manly, manly, man hands" lol
Hi TRZ would it be possible to do a matchup between this saw and the Milwaukee wormdrive style one? Nobody has done it yet and it would be great so I can decide which one I should get
Absolutely. I'm putting it up against all of the rear handle saws including the Milwaukee bro
Skil for me it is
I've seen this video almost 20 times, and I say the same thing each and everytime! Their is a dust port, for the saw to turn down towards the ground!
What is the battery life like?
How long does the charge last
as far as duty goes, how long will it work? a full house builder day or occasional shop worker?
Full house builder day. This is 100% professional grade
@@ToolReviewZone Nice! Thank you!
I was told the battery doesn’t last long is that true?
Wat is the size in inch for this Skil, Anyone know??
a real framer cuts 45 without having to ever make that adjusted. I don't think i've ever turned my skilsaw to bevel like that lol.
yuup tru dat!
How long does that battery lasts?
So it runs a 48v battery?
Smash the like peeps and share anybody wants this killer deal thank Clint from TRZ
Thanks brother 👊
@@ToolReviewZone any time bro 🤜👊
it may just be me but i would be warried about all the saw dust being sucked into the motor since it exists above the motor vent.
Will that battery last all day on a framing crew?
You’d probably want the 2 battery combo. Power all day with 2 batteries FOR SURE!
Didn't a while ago you say Vince (from vcg construction) was wrong when he said this is the best rear handle circ saw?
Haha, didn't say he was wrong, but I did write a really nice song for him. I may have to eat my previous words
Looks like a beast. However I don't see a huge number of people picking it to invest into a one tool battery platform. Seems like a tough sell
I agree, but I've heard they will be coming out with other cordless options soon. Hope that's the case
Thanks for the review. How long did the battery last? Is this a good investment over getting the 7 1/4" Magnesium Model # SPT77WM-22
Like u say lt sure ls Magnifique love lt but purchased the Flexvolt Dewalt lwill get this one for sure in near future good job.
Vince @vcgconstruction had a good videos on this saw as well appreciate the discount bro and keep up the great work
Just ordered Mine run Clint Runnnnnn Dont Look Back lmfao

Better than the beloved Makita?
21700 cells in the battery i assume? Very nass lack!😉👍

Price $$$?
The kit is $399, but they are running a deal with a free battery if you buy.

240 watt hours?!?!
Bloody hell ,if you don't use the vacuum hose you're gonna be swimming in a dust cloud!
It's not bad unless you cut at 45 degrees. Then it will get you lol
They still use thier wife's saws here in Australia
Way Heavier than the makita? I heard is it true?
Yeah, the Makita is light. I think I actually have a comparison video of the two
