I’m impressed that Netherealm made me love Tanya, despite not caring about her at all before Mkx. Only makes me hate them more for killing her off screen. I wish Netherrealm would just stop making character rosters based of what happens in the story and just add any character.
Not gonna lie, the Triborg idea sounds awesome. Would have been nice to see him become canon, and he'd actually really fit with MK11's character + move costumization.

If he goes NRS, he is NOT gonna have control like that (if any at all) because he has to work with other writers, knowing him he's gonna bump heads with them & of course he'll have to deal the occasional studio & higher-up interference from some of his ideas as well
@@MazeDaGr8 netherrealm dont care about a compelling story. They care about pro play and money, like all other companies. If a good story is necessary for a good game then yeah they will do it. But people stopped really caring about the story in the 3d era. The whole time shit is just stupid. So tired of being thrown back and forth, JUST FUCKING KILL SOME PEOPLE AND LEAVE THEM DEAD FFS
I remember when these came out. Feels like so long ago
I really hated that we fought Rain, Sindel and saw Smoke, Kabal, Nightwolf and Stryker in the cutscenes, but never got to play as them. Surely, one might think that since the characters already had the models in the game and some even had their movesets coded in, it would be easy for the devs to add them in the game, but nope! Instead, we got Leatherface, Jason, Predator and Alien. It's fine to add one guest character, two at most, but most of the DLCs are just guest characters. Same with Injustice 2 and now in MK11, we have Rambo, Robocop, Terminator, and Joker. Smh.

@@omarxperez Spawn is a character that was inevitable. He would have shown up eventually and honestly him and maybe Joker should have been it as far as guest characters go. We didn't need Rambo Robocop and Terminator as cool as they are. I would much rather see Ermac with the new design rather than a poorly voiced Terminator

@@yami2957 either way you're paying for possibly a only one time thing in the game with most likely no huge impact or relation to the story. Personal I prefer guest characters since it's less boring having a guest character in a game than a recurring character that already was in the game. Also why not have a dlc character that's new to the mk series like skarlet in mk9?
They couldn’t exactly just port over Rain, Sindel and Baraka since their entire move set is reused from MK9, like how Sektor and Cyrax reuse Triborgs move set in MK11. The only new thing made for those characters where their voice acting and costumes, they don’t even have x-rays or fatalities

4thSnake already explained regardless if you play as the DLC characters in the main story or the characters that aren’t the DLC characters in the main story of Soul Calibur 6 that he loves Soul Calibur more than the WB Studios version of Mortal Kombat.

you forgot Goro, he's a DLC Character Too You Know, In fact, this is like the 2nd time where you didn't include one of the Exclusive Characters or Pre Order Exclusive Characters that those characters might as well be DLC Characters in a Mortal Kombat DLC Wasted Plotential Video. The First was Kratos from God of War (the Old Kratos not the New Kratos) who appeared as a guest character in Mortal Kombat 9, which was exclusive to the PS3 Version, and after doing some digging I found out that Tremor also appeared in the 2011 MK Reboot aka MK9, but exclusive to the PSVITA Version, which makes Tremor the Second.
Revamp for Sindel’s MK 11 DLC chapter: *DON’T GIVE HER A NONSENSICAL RETCON THAT SHE WAS EVIL ALL ALONG AND MURDERED HER HUSBAND TO BE WITH SHAO KAHN!!!!*
He pretty much did that for his wasted plotential of her and he said he was fine with fujin’s role. What really should’ve happened is that Shao and Kotal should’ve not have had any relationships on the stupid story mode or if netherrealm didn’t have much time to fix her, have Shao kill her the moment he gets his eyesight back and give the chapter to himself so he doesn’t be a simp
The story variations that you offer is much better than Netherrealm stories.
It's channels like yours that make me feel Publishers need to hire established fans to assist and consult the writing staff. It very debatable that fans have more respect and better ideas when it comes to character legacy, story, and potential future.
You know, I honestly adore the idea of the guests' story chapters being parts of movies either made or directed by Johnny, and using them to give a better look to Cassie's backstory and relationships with her parents is also pretty brilliant too.
P.S. I still don't get what's wrong with Jax's alternate costume from the 3D era, I get that it loosely resembles a gangster's outfit but I think it's more of a coincidence than anything else.

The characters known for their neutral, setup, & mind games.
Kenshi is great with pokes, space control, & counter hits.
Cyrax is great with setups, anti airs, & combos.
Sektor is great with zoning, space control, & counter hits.
Like those three with their kits would've made the most sense in a Footsies based MK game.
pretty sure the most NRS has done with different character movesets outside of flashbacks was swapping from the chain moves to the hellfire moves for the last fight in scorpions MK11 chapter

@@idiotnostalgia5167 I think he’s probs gonna get a chapter in a story expansion where he wins fights which I hope to god they don’t mess up. They already screwed over a lot of characters such as both of the Kahn’s, sindel and sheeva in the last expansion, kitana gets an honourable mention here.

I wish they'd create original characters inspired by the guests and just give them a skin of the characters that inspired it.
Like imagine if Kotal had been more inspired by Predator or D'Vorah by Alien. Also opens up slots for actual fucking MK characters in the dlc. We could've had Fujin and Rain in MKX too. Then if you run into a situation like Ash, where they couldn't end up doing his DLC. You're out a skin, not a character.

I like the Cage plot, but I may be biased lol. Injustice 2 sounds tricky with Sub, Raiden and even TMNT kinda just forced in. Don't get me wrong, I love the TMNT, but when it comes to plot relevance, might be hard giving them a meaningful role.
In the comics the Turtles met Batman and worked with him for a hot minute I think, so they could go off of that. And there’s references to MK Vs DCU in injustice and MK11 so I guess that’s canon now
I always hated how they had freddy in 9 and Jason in X. I thought for 11 we'd get both so I could do a freddy vs jason match but nope.

As someone who just play Mortal kombat for the story and characters, this would make me consider buying the DLC. So I think it could be a worth while investment on their part.
Can you do a wasted plotintial for skarlet ferra/ torr .kenshie and kabal and cetrion and kotal khan and jade. Lei mei I feel like they could've done more with kenshie especially with his relationship with takeda and I honestly think scarlet is cool and her voice actress is amazing but she was retconed a thousand times and was treated as a jobber
cetrion would have been far more interesting of a boss aesthetically than that idiot cancer patient we got.

I’m surprised that he didn’t get his own chapter in MKX and it was also a huge waste to not have him free Ermac like he did in the original timeline. So much wasted ideas with these characters all because of the dumb special forces characters that the writers force us to care about.

No one said Shang Tsung is a guest character. He was just a DLC. Guest characters are characters like Jason, Kratos, and Predator where they’re from a movie or video game franchise that isn’t related to Mortal Kombat

god lord, the mkx dlc brings so much nostalgia to me, back when everyone complainded about guest characters being in or npc not being in, those where good years, even de mk fanbase was better back then, and yes triborg was perfect as a potential foe against scorpion and sub zero in mk11 too bad he is not canon, instead we have twindel as canon....
PS: what about goro??? he was pre order bonus, he counted as dlc, i think the best for him could be a chapter adapting his fight against kotal from the comic

I loved leatherface, but im just a tcm fanboy, I imagine the mkx devs were just horror fanboys as well,. That doesn't excuse it though.
I remember reading somewhere that Ed Boon was actually a good friend of the original leatherface actor, Gunner Hansen. That's why Leatherface got 3 completely different looking costumes for his variations. Gunner passed away a year before Bubba was added into MKX, I imagine his addition may have been a tribute from Boon.
What they should've done is have Sektor, Cyrax, and Cyborg Smoke as characters in the story and then use Triborg as a way to get them playable. I'm surprised that's not what they did considering Cyrax and Sektor are NPCs in that story

Perhaps with Injustice 2 you can the two characters chapters as it was the game that introduced it. Like Sub and Raiden sharing a chapter on them trying to figure out why they are in a different world. And Starfire with Red Hood as a nod to their partnership. TMNT can just team up with Batman and fight his villains in a lose adaptation of their crossovers
Maybe Darkseid will have his own chapter.

Having an elseworld type dlc story with alien would be so fucking sick. Just having it be the xenomorph spreading like a virus through the mk universe. Maybe some characters would be immune to the xenomorphs like raiden who would die but then come back to life, dvorah would just move the chest bruster out of her body as she's just a hive and maybe noob. Just having these 3 characters so opposed to each other and not wanting to help but having to come together to save the realms would be awesome. Raiden obviously would feel obligated to do so, dvorah cares only for her survival and would die out of the xenomorphs took over and noob because he wants to rule the neatherleam and can't do that if he's overrun by the xenomorphs. It would be really sick if he had to fight against the xenomorph that burst through kuai Liang aswell. A cryomancer spawned xenomorph might be sick but I don't know how it would use the ice powers.
That's what I would want anyway.

Hey snake, imagine thse guest characters were actuall in universe characters? Like the xenomitph os simply a kytinn born after the death of baraka, it's host. Jason is simply a undeath in earthrealm that protects a specific place. Leatherface could become an insane cannibalistic lunatic that uses a chainsaw. Joker, just like Freddy, are simply creatures from Chaosrealm, who just like Havic, wish yo dprwad chaos across the realms. Robocop is simply a cyborg cop (Maybe Stryker?), Terminator is a machine send back in time to make sure that Earthrealm is protected in order to make sure thst the machine is created in the future. The predator (female one) is an unknown being, a zaterran perhaps that lived in Earthrealm. She could have a potential story with Reptile. Rambo is simply a mercenary from the SF, and Kratos could be like Scorpion himself, a dead man who wishes revenge. But instead of wanting vengence against a specific person, he wishes to rid reality from all the gods, the elder gods and titans included.😅😅😅😅

The more I see these videos, the more I think game companies aren't even trying to make good games anymore. SEGA, NRS, Bethesda, EA all have done this. Sonic Forces they hype up the new villain Infinite and do barely anything with him, treating him as a glorified ad for another flop. Worse than throwing Infinite's potential away they bury him in the Episode Shadow add on. MK11 does a similar treatment to Shao Kahn. Making him a cash grab and ruining him as well. Not to mention having Sindel go 180 with no explanation. Bethesda reached new levels of infamy with Fallout 76. And I doubt EA needs explanation anymore. How long before people start assuming every new game will fail and end the industry. The bad game cash grabs need to stop.

Yeah Tremor does hold resentment to Kano for leaving him behind but the intros are debatable cannon.

It’s both because if WB Studios just let him have full control on all of the Mortal Kombat properties than WB Studios would have trillions of dollars already because fans like him create better projects, and they more profits off their own fan comics than Disney makes off of Marvel comics and WB Studios making profits off of the IDW MKX comics and the DC comics.
