Thanks so much for making this video. Your efforts are directly responsible for my success in this endeavour. Your step by step instructions are very easy to follow. This was EXTREMELY helpful replacing my driver's rear mech. I wound up breaking off several tabs though trying to get the whole latch out, but a couple zip tis solved that problem. I used a rubber-tipped quick clamp to hold the wind exactly where it lines up with the screw hole. The mech was source from Hyundai Parts Deals online for about $140. Works great! Thanks!!!
You did a beautiful job! Great video, well explained, and concise. This will help me when I replace the one on the passenger rear door of a 2007. Thanks from Ohio.
Thank you for your detailed and well presented video! I had the courage to perform a successful outcome after watching your video a few times. Saved me also a few hundred dollars! Much appreciated!
Thank for you the effort! I tried removing the panel to change the acuator but couldnt get the inner panel removed. I think with your video im confident if removing and replacing the acuator. Thank you!
Hello, thank you very much for sharing this video, it is undoubtedly the only and obviously the best on how to disassemble the door of a Hyundai Santafe like mine, also to tell you that I do not dare to disassemble the exterior handle or release the glass, again many, many congratulations ,
Great video Sir!! Made the job very simple!!.... (When the right actuator finally arrived) A word of caution to others. The proper actuator depends on when and where you Santa Fe was assembled.... for the part you need. We found out after it was all apart that we had the wrong actuator.... All good now, thanks again!! And it was very difficult to find the (####-0W000 model) for our vehicle.
My santa fe is a 2010 and the door lock acuator for rear left is part number 814100W000 . It cost $150 plus and they don't make any aftermarket ones that are cheaper. One year earlier and you can find them for $28. Sad
I'm trying to change the rear RH lock actuator on a 2012 Elantra Touring and nothing I've found helps, it's not the same as the sedan or the santa fe . I've found nothing on youtube to show how to remove the actuator.
Same door actuator not working on my 2007 (black!) Hyundai Santa Fe GLS. Opens 90% of the time--doesn't close. Wondering if it just needs lube. Will probably have to take apart to see. Wished it only locked as i could live w always manually opening it!
Try to take the interior handle out and pull the inner wire of the bowden cable, see how stiff it's, not sure if you can disassemble the lock for lubrication.
@@alverkoro435 oh thanks for quick reply! I have to manually lock and unlock the back doors from the inside. The key fob or driverdoor controls don't do it. I just bought vehicle couple weeks ago so I'm not sure what went wrong. Thanks for the tutorial anyway!
@@ChronikCarlos You are welcome, seems you have the same issue, the issue happened with me when someone hit my door wheen opening his door, it was a windy day.
@@ChronikCarlos Sorry, I just pay attention that you mentioned "Doors" and not a single door, first make sure is not a fuse issue or wiring, is strange that 2 doors will fail at the same time, unfortunately, I don't have the car anymore, otherwise would dig more about it.
My 09 Hyundai Santa fe back passenger door won't open, I managed to get the panel off and the inside and outside handles are all connected the lock it's self has broken but the door is shut so I can't unscrew the lock to replace it I'm at a loss here any help will be appreciated. Thanks
I have the Bolt Remove and I can't get the freeken glass out. It doesn't want to come apart. I'm been shaking it up and down trying to get it to move. I don't get it?!?! What is going on? I've been fighting it in 100 degree heat outside for thelast hour and it won't budge!!!
JB Dragon hi, all you need to do is push the bolt assembly inside and try to pull the window out. It's kinda lock which need to come out of that hole. So remove the bolt and push the inner assembly inside and same time pull the glass up. This is how I got it out and fixed it.
@@devhanda23 How well explained everything, thanks to everyone, even so my Santafe is from 2007, I hope it can hold me for another 2 or 3 years, for this reason I no longer think I will repair it, you are true artists, greetings
I just bought a 2002 Santa. Fe 36 hours ago and the linkage in the drivers side rear door is broken and the door is closed. And ideas on how to get it opened?
