i want to say a few things ...1st your videos are certainly educational ,informative and entertaining and WAM is the reason i began collecting TR stuff 2nd i purchased a dagger from Wittmann which i was not happy with and was refunded immediately ,basically no questions asked ....Tom Wittmann is a stand up guy in my book ! 3rd i find myself sometimes aggravated with this old timer on the videos but that's my problem ...do i keep watching ? absolutely , never missed a DTC video from day one.... so i'm going to say it again : " Thomas Wittman is a STAND UP GUY and a credit to our hobby !!! Tom and Ob , thank you and keep doing what you're doing ....
So the only aggravation and we all know it. Is the fact he opens packages slow. That’s why I vote he hire Johnny to open all packages….I love Wittmann tho and dealing with him and Debbie. Love watching the videos. Seen every single one. Everybody loves you Wittmann!!!!
Wittmann, there are about 10 of us at times, sometimes less, that sit around at a local area bar and watch your shows, have a few beers and sometimes, some of the guys will bring in a Dagger, or a nasi plate, or a book, etc, nothing too fancy. We've been doing this since last year, and it happens once a week, sometimes, once every other week. Sometimes, there's just 2 or 3 of us, but, we have fun. You are a great source or entertainment and talk, and we value you and your sons time. Thank you. You're doing a great job!
Mr Wittman, its quite sad and upsetting that some people in this world can be so rude and disrespectful to you. Good health and happiness to you and your family and i hope one day to share a good bottle of single malt and and a fine couple cigars with you. All the very best from Dickie, a new collector from the north east of England.
I find your programs very entertaining and informative. I also feel you've bought a lot of sophistication and class to the military collecting community. I wouldn't pay much mind to comments left on the internet. Those people are just jealous. I remember collecting, going to pawn shops and dealing with some real pieces of work. Keep up the good work
Entertaining you are!! I really like seeing the 'inside' working of a great collector. And, I for one, am waiting with an empty glass, for you to say ; well, "hello collectors," so that I can feel legitimate in mixing a jack and coke!! Keep it up Tom and Ob!!!
Don’t worry about negative commenting from other online forums , you carry on down your cellar, absolutely outstanding work that I look forward to very much every Monday ,,
Tom has to realize that when you put yourself in public there will always be Arseholes and jealous people making rude remarks. This isn't like 30 or 40 years ago when if someone had an issue with you they said it to your face. Now we have the cowards behind keyboards.
Hello guys, just wanted to drop by to say thank you for everything you do for the hobby and for helping me out back in the day with authenticating a second model Luftwaffe Dagger. Love the smoking and drinking so please never change. Hope you guys can give me a shout-out in your next video. Keep History alive ! best wishes Dave J. from Kriens Switzerland
The collector who never made a mistake is yet to be born, we are always learning not matter how long we've been in the hobby. Keep the videos coming I really enjoy them.
I can't thank Tom and Ob enough for the effort they put in making these vids and although I haven't had the pleasure of meeting them yet I can tell neither of them have a bad bone in their bodies. I think the word here is jealousy or they are just very sad lonely people. you guys are great ,Ross (England)
Tom. Your videos are always entertaining, educational and anticipated! Try to ignore the people (luckily in the small minority) who persist in being negative and hateful. The vast, overwhelming majority of viewers and collectors have the greatest appreciation for all that you do. Keep up the great work...and keep wearing the same clothes you have. They look fine!
Hey Tom, good evening collector! Please don’t stop these videos. I was listening to you and hearing those negative comments from keyboard Warriors on the forums! You are without doubt, one of the most trustworthy, collectors and dealers in this hobby! I quit collecting stupidly about 20 years ago and sold a massive collection of badges and daggers that are now worth an absolute fortune! Having watched your videos I started to collect again and bought my first SA dagger off you because I trust you implicitly! You and Rob are absolute ambassadors for the hobby and there are thousands of people that tune in to these videos because they are not only factual but extremely entertaining! Keep smoking keep drinking all the very best from England 🏴 Andy Goodall
That Gothic Letter (Fraktur, actually) on the Panzer Waffenrock (at 1:33:46) is the letter "S" and I think it stands for ""Sudetenland Campaign" Panzerjäger-Abteilung 33. The name in the pocket may be "Unteroffizer Suhlmann"
I have to add, despite studying and collecting Third Reich Militaria since the 1970's I've never been particularly interested in the Waffenrock. But there's something about that Panzer Pink piping, Swedish cuffs, and collar waffenfarbe, and the contrast of the feldgrau wool that I'm now now curiously obsessed with! Damn you, Wittman! You've done it again! 😂
Now here is an idea - have the big Wittmann "tent sale and cash on the barrel head" offering. For the kids - free elephant rides - for junior and the little lady lemon aid - free hot beef sandwiches real Chicago style - and for the gents all the lager beer they can drink!
I would never rely on collectibles for investments. If the value goes up on some items, so be it. You can be assured the value on other items will drop as well. I collect for the fun of having pieces of history and enjoying the workmanship that goes into those pieces with the historical context.
That guy who made those awful comments about you is "aus Scheissen gefullt!"(full of s--t). To me, and everybody else, your greeting:"Hello collectors" is a wonderful introduction to another wonderful segment on the world of militaria!
The more we know the more we know that we know nothing of what there is to know. But your relative knowledge is second to none and people that don't mistakes mostly don't do anything. Please don't be discuraged by these sour people. I love watching your shows, love your humor and hope you will be making at least 1000 episodes. Keep up the good work! 👍🔟🤩
This is real history and antiques art studying. Cigars and whiskey goes along with the territory. All the nay sayers are just jealous they can’t handle their booze like you Gentlemen. Cheers guys, awesome channel. For me I watch your show after work to unwind. Keep up the great work guys.
Mr. Wittmann...do not care those hater jerks, they suck them self...u are true legend in this hobby pls go on !! Been watching ur videos from beginning and will look as long as they keep come...cheers Tom !!!
Tom. You don't have to explain yourself. Everyone here loves you. 🥰🥰🥰🥰 BTW: Really enjoy the Q&A. Interesting questions and good advice for collectors. Rob, for a guy who doesn't collect 3rd Reich, sure knows the Collection. The price of 1 package of Marlboro cigarettes in Jackson, Mississippi is $7 Another great video guys.
I appreciate you creating the videos. I have been watching the videos since 2021. What is important for me is the history that you tell through the presentations of the items shown in each episode. I like to watch the videos while cooking breakfast for my family on the weekend or dinner during a weeknight. You are with me in the kitchen! How do you prefer your eggs cooked? Anyway, your videos are greatly appreciated. Thank you. Thomas Gonzalez 😊
Everyone makes mistakes sometimes, how you correct the mistake is what matters (which Wittmann did correctly). I guarantee, the people who watch DTC weekly (if not more) find your presentation, commentary and guidance on militaria VERY INTERESTING and ENTERTAINING! There will always be haters, don't pay attention to them.
Mr Wittman, i look forward to and have watched all of your DTC videos. Ignore the nay sayers and please keep doing what you do best. It's amazing how you share the wealth of your knowledge with all of us and i feel you are very much an honest and honorable man. God bless you sir
I love Obs suggestion of 'go shirtless and see how they like that'! I say do it! Or wear just your nicest vest 😂 My fiance and I always have dinner while we watch you guys have a few drinks (our drink is SunDrop) and educate us on this amazing hobbie. I collect HJ and he collects SS among a few other things from WWII 🙂. Keep the great videos coming, Tim & Ginny from VA

You’re a top class act Mr Whitman, screw the haters! They will always be saying stuff to try and stir up a mess maybe because their lives are so messy and misery loves company, but you’re a class act and so is the show… jude
Hello Team Wittmann! Your videos are one of the highlights of my week. Even though complaining seems to be the in-vogue thing to do lately, I LOVE DTC just as it is. By the way, Tom, I think you are a snazzy dresser, so forget those bums.
I went on a church sponsored camping trip in the early 80s. I took a German made HJ knife reproduction that came without the grip insignia or motto. Lo and behold, some chowder head kids got hold of my knife and started throwing it up against a tree. It didn't turn out well. The blade tip didn't snap off , but the grip plates sure did. By the way, drinking AND smoking cigars on an empty stomach, Tom? You're a better man than I am! I guess I am just weak, ha,ha

Hello Mr Wittmann my friend has a chained ss dagger i cant remember the type but it has teardrop holes in the wotans knot, not circular and he also has a nickel silver plated nsfk flyer's dagger except that one has a tiny chip off the end of the blade but his great grandpa was a Colonel by the end of his service in the military but not sure what he was during the war. How many daggers have you shown your thankful audience?and someone’s going to insult you because one got by you? Do you really think the people who appreciate what you do (and have done) for edged weapons care if your clothes are old or oversized? I always thought you a snappy dresser! You could come out naked and we wouldn’t care! You and Rob; defend against “the haters” but never let them get to you or think we, your loyal viewers, need an explaination. Hey guys, big fan of the show. I am new and young collector [ 25 years of age ] I have been collecting German edged weapons for the past year. What should I be doing in making sure I am collecting correctly? Should I be collecting only the best? Or should I allow relic condition daggers or even parts daggers too? Any opinions are welcome.
Tom keep being Tom, some people need to get a life. You have always been nice to me. I believe it was a honest mistake, you are still good person in my book.
I have a request if you guys are into it. During your episodes with one item you show us you can use it to tell us part of the story and history of WW2.
You are very kind, Sir. I've worked for Tom since 2008, and in all that time have never once seen him fail to honor his lifetime guarantee, even to guys that were clearly "gaming" the policy.
@@WittmannAntiqueMilitaria I have a very small collection, I hope to one day be able to purchase some things from Mr. Wittmann. I’ve followed him for years, but due to an injury at work, I’m on a slight bit of a budget. As Ob said in the video, “ I love the stuff, but I can’t afford it!” lol
Ever since that DTC episode where the medal expert came in and you reviewed said awards and a lot of them were fake you guys haven’t gotten any medals (as far as I remember and I have watched every single dtc episode since episode 100). Although I might have just answered my own question but it’s just an oddity that has stuck in my memory. And as far as investing in good quality daggers. I’m at the age range (I’m 17) where if I have that the money for it, it would be better suited towards other things, and it’s honestly kind of sad that daggers and such might never get into the price range that I can afford. But luckily there is other cool 3rd reich militaria that I can collect. Such as most helmets, awards and field gear. So Il live, and who knows maybe dagger prices will drop somehow. Only time will tell. Sorry for the novel.
Tom; One last question; Did they ever found out who destroyed that ultra-rare SS mint overcoat you mail to Australia? I lied! What is the lowest “numbered” daggar you’ve come across?
Easy to hide behind a user name on a forum full of ‘experts’ most of who have no collection and no hope of ever building one , the forums are for morons and most genuine people don’t bother with them

Keyboard cowboys suck! I’m certain they’re jealous due to your success in the hobby. I sir, wouldn’t be afraid to purchase anything from you.
Although I do have his books.
You could rename the show to TWT Topless With Tom ?
Don't give him any ideas!
I didn’t know that editing a comment removes the heart. Oh well
Tom;
One last question; Did they ever found out who destroyed that ultra-rare SS mint overcoat you mail to Australia?
I lied! What is the lowest “numbered” daggar you’ve come across?
Who cares what anyone thinks. They don't have to watch you.

Easy to hide behind a user name on a forum full of ‘experts’ most of who have no collection and no hope of ever building one , the forums are for morons and most genuine people don’t bother with them
Don’t change anything. There will always be critics out there but don’t fret, those that love your productions outnumber them 1,000 to 1!😊
First😊
Tom, stop with the readings. very boring. focus on the unboxing and new examples. no one cares
What a rude comment. Maybe others due enjoy the beginning info. It's not all about you!
We love you Wittmann
