Immigration has never been left to the States. International and Maritime borders, Immigration, and Naturalization are all Federal powers.

Nope. Bureaucrat ICE, CBP and Homeland Security are foot soldiers to the UniParty. No government agency has any concern of stopping illegal immigration. Every government agency has funding to further support every aspect of continued illegal immigration. If they really cared, there would be mass resignations or transfers. But alas, there are not. They continue to be good little bureaucrats and keep padding their taxpayer funded pensions.
