- Listen to this beautiful lullaby for a big elephant with a benevolent heart. Every time Lek sings, this gentle giant falls asleep. The 7-year-old elephant, named, Faa Mai, is part of a herd at the Elephant Nature Park in Thailand. Lek says her singing makes Faa Mi feel safe and comfortable. She says they communicate though love. First they hug, then , Faa Mai, slowly lays on the ground to take his nap. His ears flap to the music and his trunk curls in. Finally he shuts his eyes. #InsideEdition
The way the elephant drags her in with its trunk at the start. That's pure love right there.
And suprisingly gentle for such a large animal.

@@jamief.8489 I can’t tell if this is a joke, but if it isn’t I hope you know it’s almost impossible to force animals to act as genuinely as the elephant did in this video, and I don’t know why she would either when it’s much easier to just treat them well and have them love you for it. It’s said that Elephants hold funerals for their packs/group members. But it’s also said that they do the same for humans that raised them, may she be honored this way by not only elephants, but by people for her kind soul.
Ye, they put both front legs on top of the dead elephant and also give their back to the dead elephant and touch his
horn/tusk with their back/hind leg 🦵
They also go back and visit the place they died in memorial.

when an animal trusts you especially a wild one or ex wild one, that is beautiful unconditional love, a most wonderful thing ,its more sincere than many humans can manage.
Unconditional love is somewhat overrated. It's definitely not unconditional in this case. Let her try ignoring the elephant.

Lek is the most amazing person on the planet. I was able to work with her for a week in Thailand back in 2018 when I volunteered with a veterinary group. Every time she’d enter the property all of the elephants would rush to and surround her as if she were their own. It was incredible to see every time.
Somethings in this world don't need to be narrated and this is one of them
It bugs me how distant and borderline in human news anchors sound when they narrate wholesome, emotional content. It's like they're trying to sell us an emotional experience, rather than just let us have one.

I couldn't have said it better. Half the commentary was what we could clearly see and we didn't get to hear more than a line of the lullaby, nor restfullness of the elephants sleep. Sigh.

It's a neutral sound that is easy for people to understand of all ages, people who dont speak English well can interpret it's less room for misunderstanding when you speak in one clear voice, even if it is dull and lifeless
Agree, instead of hearing the actual lullaby we hear some irrtating American womans voice tell us exactly what is happening on screen as if we were blind.
By having earned their love and trust, I would say she has achieved more than most of us ever will.

IVE BEEN TO THIS PARK, this place is absolutely amazing. They really do love and care for these animals. They have this awesome street dog they rescued named Maverick which likes to bark at the elephants as they mud bathe.

You need a big paycheck to help these Animals.
I think a lot of people try to get into fields which interest them. In many cases that brings a bigger paycheck, but I would rather do something I enjoy for less money than something which makes me unhappy.

I am sure the fulfillment you get from giving and caring is what truly makes people happy, I wish I could work a job like this one day
I used to do volunteering at an elephant sanctuary in our country and these scenes really do happen in real life, it the most fulfilling thing to watch by far. Although I’m not an elephant whisperer, I’ve seen many people in the sanctuary put baby elephants to sleep in this way. I remember one brat in particular who would NEVER sleep unless he was in a huge puddle of water on the ground while also being singed to. It was adorable.
At one time, in Africa, to reintroduce elephants in depleted areas, they moved many young males. They wreaked havoc, destroyed villages. Then they went back and introduced a mature male bull in those areas, and it all stopped. The adult kept them in line.
We could learn a lot from elephants. Extremely intelligent animals.

Well when I was young about 5-6 , my grandmother used to sing the same lullaby to put me to sleep. I still remember how to sing along to such a nice Thai lullaby that almost every Thai person knows! 😍😘

idk about what they think but i heard more about animals loving humans than humans loving animals.
Probably someone that’s incredibly special. They feel and humans have a knack for making other animals feel good when we massage them, hence many animals lower their guard and embrace us when we pet and massage them. Let alone she’s singing, she’s probably the only one who does that to him, so she must be something like a caretaker, mother, or just someone the elephant looks up to and loves incredibly. You love those who’ve done you well, and all species and life forms have that same mentality. We just can express and react to it on a broader scale due to our intelligence, communication and ability to plan and create.
