I loved my test drive so much , I took the showroom model which is the same in your video but with everything you can get optionally. It’s a real beauty to drive and after owning many cars from high end to low end, this is without doubt the best.
I love this layout of the i-cockpit! Have always had a problem with hitting the steering wheel or other parts. Kudos to Peugeot! Now I'm waiting for the ev version of the 108
I quite like how this looks. Peugeot is definitely making beautiful cars again. I also fancy the thought behind the low-down boot floor, however controversial this might sound. Someone realised the opening is big enough to put even a washing machine or a medium-sized fridge in and close the door if that boot floor was lower. Granted, you'll have sweaty and sweary time to push such appliance over the seat hump, but it's a small price to pay for practicality.
Dear Marek, I must tell you that I enjoy your your reviews. At first, I found them a bit harsh, but now I understand that you are fair. Keep up the good work! Salute from Serbia!

I don't think they are ready for badge engineering just yet. PSA and FCA still use different platforms, so a Peugeot shares no parts with a Chrysler. The dealer/service network wouldn't know what to do with it. Perhaps once they become more integrated it would be easier. Assuming the US market actually needs French cars.

Just swoped my mercedes w213 Eclass 220d for one of these. Mercedes was absolutely riddled with problems (all common issues) rather drive a car that's under warranty instead of worrying about expensive repairs everytime a light comes on.
I've just looked the Peugeot 4008 up... Surprise, it was a Mitsubishi ASX! 😵 Now this one being indeed a 408, I try to imagine what a 4008 should really look like... 🤔 Or maybe "4" just means "odd class"... And one should never expect an SUV in this class... I am already curious what the 409 would look like.
I have a problem with both of these, because I think they deserve either a diesel or a larger displacement petrol engine without electrification, and if they have to be a plug-in, they could at least get AWD. But to answer your question, I like 408 looks better, and C5X comfort more.
It looks good from outside. I suspect it might become irritating as a daily driver, as only French cars can do. But it's attractive and nicely designed, so hats off to Peugeot for that. These things seem to be getting more and more expensive with each day.
It’s a pity that once again Peugeot fixes some details and overall improves their brand model after trying everything on Citroen C5X. So question stands: C5X or 408?
Same car. Citroen is slightly longer, and has a slightly larger boot capacity, but that's about it. It's down to price and aesthetics. If there was an AWD option, I'd seriously consider either one.
I sometimes drive in a C5 Aircross which is in a similar segment and has much bigger frontal area and so worst aerodynamics and I can assure you it is perfectly adequated. I still prefer my older C4 with the 1.6hdi engine but this one is perfectly fine.
I can't imagine that Peugeot are confusing us... It would make sense if Peugeot call it the "4008" but that's also been used as a Chinese renamed 3008 which again doesn't make sense.
I like the 408's design, much better than the Citroen C5x, it remids the design of the Ford Mustang Mach E. By the way, why don't they offer PSA's 1.6L turbo engine even as an option ??? And I wonder how ab Alfa Romeo or a Lancia woukd look like using this platform 🤩
Do you think the numbers are complicated? Well, if you are like me, you look at this car and instead of seeing a posh version of the C5X you see a posh version of the C4... And then your head explodes. Yeah, I know it is not a posh C4, I am just stating what I see when I look at one.
I tried this car at a car show months before this and the ergonomics were so godawful that now I don't dare to watch this video because I know Marek will really tear them apart 😂
Beautiful car but overpriced and sorry but that 1.2l engine is not enough. It's noisy (3 cylinders), small and weak for such a car. Also, the reliabilty for 130 hp from a 1.2 l is questionable

Probably because it's relatively new, and Stellantis seems to have production delays :-)
It's like people with iPhones.....
They just follow the most popular option. I love driving a car I don't see every 500 meters.
