a great track along with his music for Tombstone - epic - just as the land the score seeks to capture with the sweep of strings and the soaring of horns
I can't believe this music has never been digitally produced! It's the 21st Century, Bruce! PLEASE! Let's let people download this music and PAY FOR IT!
It is a film that has almost every possible Western stereotype- and I absolutely love it. Next to The a Magnificent Seven this is one of the best themes.
Just finished the movie :) I love Bruce's work! A great epic score to go with a great movie! The plot and characters were rather difficult though(almost as hard as Game Of Thrones lol ) But glad I seen this. It's a movie I'll need to see a few times to get..maybe more lol. I already have some favorite shots within the movie and they were rather sweet and kickass xD . What I love the best in this movie is its structured production design, every where I turn I felt like I was transported in that time, and I love that.
Such an awesome soundtrack ❤❤
And such an awesome film...
How can anyone NOT like this magnificent piece of music?
Robert Fallin idk, but evidently, there are THREE PEOPLE who disliked this. >8(
@answerman1949 I used to love it (in my memory), but then I saw the movie again, and the music was just too repetitious, with too few original themes.
That trumpet…That opening is too perfect for words.
❤❤❤this song amazing artist thank you so much
One of the best western soundtracks of all time. And I say that with ZERO hesitation. Love this film so very much!
Silverado is hands down the best example of the Western genre on film. It hits all the tropes and the soundtrack is the cherry on top.
Don't be ridic.
@@nstix2009xitsn He's not.
@@nstix2009xitsn Only Vin Diesel is Riddic.
One of the best soundtracks ever! Thank you
This was the first western I saw in a movie theater. It's still my favorite western score of all time.
Broughton's compositions are very reminiscent of Aaron Copland's work. which explains why I love it.
I would imagine that the director, Lawrence Kasdan, told Broughton, "Just imagine you're Aaron."

+cinemabon Intada released a CD version!!
cinemabon Bruce Broughton what a master this soundtrack a long with The Rescuers Down Under and Tombstone the man is a legend.
+cinemabon I would pay so much money to own this music!
Yep, I've got the CD, and can replay the movie in my head while driving! I've watched the movie that often, that I can follow along with the music!
You can download it off the internet. Hence, semi-owning the music. You would be able to play it wherever you want, granted it can play mp3 or mp4.

How this NOT win the Oscar for score ?? Lost to John Barry, who basically re-used the same score for a dozen movies.
Although I'm a John Barry fan, this really should have won. But then I was never that into Out of Africa.
god this is good

He did incredible underscoring work on DALLAS when it was at its height but this represents his finest work.
Secondary dominant heaven!
This fucking soundtrack and movie is so epic this music sounds like The Rescuers Down Under which is just an epic breathtaking film.
That's because they're both composed by Bruce Broughton. Good Ear.
Where did you get this? I found a version on iTunes, but it had a different intro
This is the actual soundtrack album from the movie.
WHERE CAN I GET THIS FOR MYSELF? I can't find it anywhere.
