It actually was Western to end all westerns. There were to be a few more. But none would be of the scope again. This was even released in 70 mm when that's still meant something. I was a teenager I worked for a HomeTown theater chain. Truly the most fun job as an usher I ever had as a teen. In point of fact it was my first job as a teen actually working for a company. That company still exists in a form but is no longer a small local chain just of the St Louis regional area. As with so many of those companies eventually they got targeted for buyout by a bigger national chain and that was the only way they could stay in business and stay competitive. During covid they were struggling...it was their only a lifeline. I don't know if it was a good or a bad thing I do know that they don't have the hometown feel anymore.
dont know if you guys cares but if you are stoned like me during the covid times then you can stream pretty much all of the new movies and series on instaflixxer. Have been streaming with my gf recently :)
This film and this score is so fucking awesome I noticed this theme song sounds a lot like The Rescuers Down Under which is just an epic breathtaking disney flick.
For me there are two definitive western themes... One from Elmer Berstein and the last from Bruce Brughton.... I think you know I´m talking about. Cheers for Bruce & Elmer...
This was the western to end all westerns. Suspense, scope, action, drama and comedy--Silverado had it all--plus the lovely Linda Hunt.

I always loved this movie and the score. He was nominated for an Oscar for this movie. He also did the score for Tombstone.
Masterpiece.

I think we can add Jerry Goldsmith to that lijst, his scores for The Hour of the Gun and Wild Rovers were amazing.
@@iceomistar4302 oh and don't forget Stagecoach, Take a Hard ride, Rio Conchos and Breakheart Pass all works of Jerry or the work of Dimitri Tiomkin.
Ennio Morricone
Now he is making the orville soundtracks
This is the same guy who did the music for tombstone and young Sherlock Holmes
Muito bom ...
