- Uploaded in 50FPS, please enjoy these extended highlights of the 1993 Grand Final. Kevin Sheedy's so-called 'Baby Bombers' took on David Parkin's Carlton. It was expected to be a close match, as previous meetings between the two had seen a draw, as well as a 2 point qualifying final win to Carlton. This game was notable for the tremendous pressure and skill throughout, and for one of the great Grand Final goals.

Don’t forget Bomber Thompson
Don’t forget Fletcher
What a fantastic year 1993 was for Essendon.
Let's smash the Blues again tonight!
thanks for the scoreboard good channel
I am a bombers fan. I Love it so much!
Michael Long, so dominant. He was on another level in this match
One of the best grand final performances for sure
Micheal long the best ever
silvagni touched that ball !
😢😢😢
Meh. Not like it had any impact on the match in the grand scheme of things. Good thing there's now video reviews for those sorts of things though, eh?
Probably right. That early on, the difference it made is debatable. Essendon were certainly dominating
Carlton were struggling against both Michael Long and the umpires on the day. Umpires were just as bad back then. It’s just social media era makes it more noticeable. Essendon were better team deserved the win
And so were the supporters blaming the umpires. What a croc. Essendon were clearly the better side on the day
Gotta say this is one of the worst officiated games of Aussie Rules I've ever seen. And for a Grand Final it was the league really lowering its colours. And I have no love for either team as I'm a Hawks man and hate both of these teams with every beat of my heart. But, the umpires killed the Blues in the first qtr when the Dons older blokes went the hook on the Blues prime movers early. The lack of free kicks for holding the ball or incorrect disposal was telling of the future of AFL.
The team now should be watchlng this how to play football
Mad bomber fan fantastic team the best ever
What a tosser Gerrard Healey on this occasion. " Might have run too far". He took ten (10) paces.
Marc Athorn v Michael Long = Athorns last ever AFL game.😊
Gee the Big Fish was a good player: Paul Salmon
Fletcher less than 20 games absaloutly smashed it
Loving the videos
Wow didn't Dean Wallis just love sniping people
😢😢😢
He would’ve got 3-4 weeks today, but no big deal back then
Why did Sheedy need to have his players play so dirty, so unsportsman-like. His team was the best: there was no need to cripple key opposition players. Must be the pathological Irish gene.
Ummmm did you ever see Sheedy play? And the team he played in? Might have something to do with it
@@melthoidserendipity1332 I grew up in Melbourne and recall the phrase, "it brings out the Irish in me," meaning the person lost impulse control and acted out like a crazed moron. Not all Irish people are pugalistic, but I noticed that most of the fights that broke out at school, at concerts, and in bars were started by Irish men. It strongly suggests a genetic flaw or degenerate culture.
cry me a river sooks!
*Very nice*
