So happy I found you. In the process of changing the nose gear tube on a Mooney. Very good explanation. Will look for other videos.

Very Informative, for someone who doesn’t own an aircraft its amazing to see how many parts there are to look at when it come to landing gear. Very dangerous when neglected.

I always pull the tube out and flex it to ensure it is not cracking along the inner perimeter where the rim split allows ozone to degrade the tube rubber.

I see alot of tube failures especially around the stem. I have a few aircraft I am going to change the tubes on shortly just due to age. Tires are not worn but tubes are getting old and it's concerning.

Can you just explain the deflating the tire before removing part, if you dont do that was can happen?

Its just an extra safety step you can take. When you remove the axle nut the only thing now keeping the wheel halfs together is studs or through bolts, depending on what type of wheel you have. I have seen these cracked, bolts stripped and wheel halfs broken. If you have 30 plus psi of pressure in the tube this could get exciting if something lets go and jumps apart on you.

I will check into that. It should only have adds at the start of the video

There should be no adds throughout the video now or any other of the videos on my channel.
