Brilliant conversation. Thanks to Peter for inviting this wonderful guest. I'm glad I'm not the only one who got burned by club politics. Some wealthy snobs took over a club I had joined in the 1980s and it really turned me off. I was interested in soil, roots, Japanese lingo and styling. These guys saw the club as a social venue. Hmmm.
I am a total beginner and new to Bonsai I am 63 and I love to learn new skills it’s so refreshing to hear the views of Peter and Kevin I will never become anything close to what others achieve but I don’t think that’s the point as they stated it’s the enjoyment and that’s really it I have been to 2 Bonsai conventions and through this I have met some wonderful people and because of the warm hearted people I was invited to a club it’s the south staffs Bonsai club and I will be attending my first meeting on Wednesday evening my journey is just beginning so thank you to you all who make this such a wonderful hobby if one thing I take is what Kevin said become a student of nature thank you all it’s so much appreciated 🍁
I love this conversation you know I’m bonsai crazy I’m a newbie, crazy in name crazy in nature haha been following you Peter for years and you’re great. I aim to come and buy a tree from you in august I really hope to get to meat you. I’ve just made a video called Epic cave bonsai Tanuki forest. And I’m so chuffed because Nigel Saunders gave me a fantastic compliment I’m tickled to bits 🤣🤣🤣 Great video Peter 👍👍👍 I love to watch the masters at work 👍👍
Great to finally visit your nursery yesterday Peter, every bit as enjoyable as I imagined! Very good to meet you in person, albeit brief :-) good to exchange dialogue! Mike, from Warminster!
Kevin needs a sawdust coat, like a rain coat for wood ;) There should be more shows like they have for cars, you bring your old car and everyone has coffee, walks around looking at the cars, there isn't a prize. Just a chance to see some cool inspiration and be surrounded by like minded people "Bonsai & Coffee" Saturday mornings. Thanks for another great video, I have a few LARGE trees given to me for free from the nursery because of bad health, as I nurse them back carving looks like a good way to shrink them down to size.
Good to listen, it’s amazing how you keep conversation going so well, can never get rid of politics, it increases with the stakes going up! Human nature but so long as mature, wise people like you are around, it’s ok
Thank you for Charing your knowledge and experience ,Peter and team! Today me and my wife visited your nursery and it was very inspirational to walk around there. Tomorrow before we go back to Belgium ,we plan to visit one of the old yew’s you went to with Kevin. Really keen to see and feel such a natural beauty!
A good talk about bonsai!!

Peter Chann is right about passing on the knowledge, it's not how we start in this world , BUT HOW WE FINISH. Ernie smith from brisbane Australia
