Sit down with Jerry Villanueva at the Surplus Warehouse

Earlier this month Commissioners Court announced that Harris County was the recipient, for the first time, of the Silver designation from the national SolSmart program for encouraging the growth of clean, affordable solar energy. Additionally, this week we are taking time to recognize all the “green” efforts that the County is working on. One of these efforts can be found in Purchasing’s Surplus Warehouse. The warehouse is a place where Harris County employees can go to look for an office chair, a computer, and many other items you may need for your workplace. How does it pertain to sustainability? It falls into our Climate Action Plan as reusing and recycling as the warehouse items are previously used so you will be giving them a second life!
