I haven't seen her in the last 15 months so I don't really know how I'd feel if I did see her with someone else but something pierces my heart just by thinking about that. I guess its because she was the girl that I really did love. But as like I said, I am happy even without her and so is she. So I think that's what matters at the end.

I just wanted to have a perspective of how life would be when you have to let your best friend and your closest person to let someone else marry him or her.. we are not married yet but our families dont approve each other due to religious barriers..it would be either the love of your life or the family you grew up with.. its a f* ed up country where i live in

Im a united states navy surface search and rescue swimmer, I first heard this song as I was going through the pipeline. Every morning I woke up at 0400 and played this song before a full day not knowing if i was going to proceed with the evolutions. I knew i was never going to quit. When things got hard, I would think of the song and the fact that we didnt come this for, to just come this far.

In some strange way, this song makes me feel good. I can't stop listening it.
After graduation, my best friend from high school and I lost touch. I remember loving this song during that time. I always imaged ourselves in this song, trying to make our way in life and all. We got in touch again about two years ago, but it was sort of awkward. We were like brothers in high school, but meeting again after a few years, both of us being practically different people, we weren't as close as we used to be. I had always wanted to address that with him and rekindle our old friendship. Last week, he took his life. We never were able to regain that old friendship. I just so happened to be scrolling through my old playlists and found this song again, and it makes me think about him a lot. I'm absolutely heartbroken over him, and I'll regret my hesitancy to address the awkwardness between us for the rest of my life. If you have friends, make sure they know you love them. Make sure they know they can rely on you. Even if it may seem weird or embarrassing to be emotionally vulnerable with them.
