a ARMY theory is that these are all different Events that occurred to him in various timelines of his life: he was a child to his parents, a friend in a group out partying, a boyfriend in a turbulent relationship, and then a husband with a beauiful family. Throughout, he felt like he was never fit perfectly into any of these roles. In his journey of self discovery he encounters another human, kim minha (the actress), who is as lost as he is in the maze of societal roles and expectations. However after they had a conversation on the couch, he realizes that it's not just him, this is the reality of most people, and life is never going to feel perfect cut to him being teleported to these scenarios again, but now he's happy bcs knowing he is not alone in this journey makes him appreciate life and it's imperfections more. In the end it's almost like enlightenment where he's freed from the shackles of pursuing a perfect life now understands the true meaning of living. you see him walking through the forbidden door with kim minha, both now happy and content 💜

Namjoon got hurt on the 1st day of filming - he got hit by a camera, went to the hospital, got 5 stitches on it, returned to the shooting set and continued shooting the mv like the pro that he is!

I personally think that this is RM wondering about what his life would've been like in different circumstances. In the opening clip, he was at a party, that's the original RM that we know and love. He's there with other celebs/people from the industry, and he's in a daze, wondering about what his life would've been like if it were different, if he had a different profession, or if he had done things differently. I think the MV is like a story where someone granted his wish of seeing how his life would've been like in different circumstances. A family man, a man in a tumultuous relationship, running away from a toxic relationship, a man who's babied by his parents, etc.
And then he finds someone else in that same maze, figuring stuff out. Maybe they talk and they realize how the life they originally had was the best version of themselves, maybe they realize how they would've been happy under all those circumstances(?) but they wanted to change nothing about the life they were leading.
Joonie actually talked about multiverse and choices way back in 2022, during the festa dinner. He said that he's the happiest in this life, as an artist. So, I think he did think a lot about it all.

Joonie got into an accident on the day of filming. He hit his head with a camera and went to the hospital to get stitches, then went back right after to film the MV. The director was so nervous, he thought he will be sent to somewhere because he hurt the National Treasure, but RM was so professional, he surprised the director so much, the director said he was so happy to work with RM and RM team.

Army knows he’s been struggling alot in his roles all these times along with the massive growth of BTS and himself. He felt overwhelmed and a bit lost (loose himself). Through this song I feel he’s saying that he wants to be back to his trueself, be the right and comfortable person as he was. “come back to me” 💜
Blaze from Watchagotasay explained it perfectly. That even when you are with someone you are not always there with them in that moment. Physically you are there but not mentally. So your the right person but in the wrong place.

"The music video for 'Come back to me' is composed in a dramatized format, and stands out for its sensuous visual beauty and cinematic imagination in a familiar space. In addition, RM's emotional performance as he encounters a 'me' trapped in various times and spaces and living in a different form than the current 'me' is overwhelming. In the music video, RM crosses dimensions through a medium called a ‘door’. And he lives in each dimension as the head of a family, a bickering lover, and a child. @@NadoBunny yeah your right, he has his own reasons why he didn't want to be a dad now. Maybe there's a connection on low pregnancy rates in Korea. Some are really not wanting to be parents because of earn of living in Korea nowadays. Or he is just afraid that he will have a kid that is a just like him a God of destruction, well any of his reason is, at least in this video he fulfilled his old dream.

I think i got this mv the message a little like Rm is struck with he's past life days struggle and can't able to come out from those bad memories and he feele alon and actually wanted to come out from he's bad memories but couldn't but then he saw a girl also struggling the same with her bad memories are trying to get out from the bad memories so namjoon saw that their is someone like me who's struggling fo bad memories and namjoon talk with her he feel relaxed and he went to the bad memories again and changed those all bad memories into good memories and he namjoon left out from thier with that girl i think this is the message behind the mv that hurting yourself for your past mistakes and struggle will not solve your precent situation and you need someone who can listen to you you need a person who can lift you from your bad thoughts in your mind

5:09 he was hurt on set by a camera or sth (literally on the VERY FIRST TAKE according to the director of the MV) and he had to get stitches for it.. he even talked about it last year in one of his lives when he was asked about it in the comments by fans, he said he was filming "something" (it was this MV) and got hurt and had to get stitches for it..
According to the MV director, RM got hurt, went to the hospital and still came back on set and continued filming 😅

I saw it as choices. NamJoon has talked multiple times and sung about choices and regrets. He gets in his head as you say, about what choices he’s made, what could have been, did he make the wrong choice, could he have made different choices? At the beginning when he looks at the door, I see it as him needing to make a choice. I see him going through the phases of what choices he could’ve made before and how he could end up unhappy in all of them. He wants to go back to being a child and letting other people make the choices for him, but they have expectations too and he’s still unhappy. So he runs and tries to escape. The girl I see as being someone who is just like himself. She’s lost and trying to escape too but they find each other. He’s not alone in how he feels. And it’s ok bc he could actually find happiness in all the possible choices. He can finally see himself being happy no matter the decision. And he and the girl leave together, both making their decisions to move forward into the endless realms of possibilities.
Idk, that’s how I see it.

Hi, I love RM, and like to think about this theory, no door shows him a nice escenario, until he finds army and helps him enjoy all the escenarios and in the end he even helps him open the door that he cluldn't open, that is rediscovers his essence what it means to be the artista he is, it is just my opinión and I will continúe to love RM and BTS in all the stage of his life, greetings🥰💜

A lot of comments forcus on the family scene.I think some people fell that members of Bts will happy when they marry and have children.What if they don't?. People have to live their own lives. This video is exactly saying that. If he marry and have kids will you like him more? Do we think that people who don't fit these standards are unhappy snd unfill.,Rm is happy snd loved just as he is.
I think it's self internalization. Finding oneself, in contrast to feeling imposter syndrome all the time, so that one can enjoy being in different stages of one's life.

Its a real injury. God of destruction needed several stitches from hitting himself on studio lighting. If you know RMs work every mix tape and album is different from the last. He is continuously pushing boundaries. In way thats what is also happening in the mv. RM wanders around confused, depressed, unhappy through all these potential lives and expectations never being comfortable in zny of them. We see this has been so since he was small. At some point he becomes more comfortable and accepting in each scenario but still doesnt stay, he moves on finds himself and accompanies the woman out of the maze of societies expectations to find non of it's real. In the light he sees its all fake sets designed and created by someone else. There are several clues for ARMY buried within the MV. Pain Devine. During a conversation piece with Pharrell Williams they discussed judging lyrics by how painful they are to produce ...pain divine, devine inspiration?
