Hi, I have a question regarding the community value, how to use the aa:nn command? Does aa used for AS and nn is for the local preference (tagging the route)? e.g. 24:10. Does it mean for AS 24 I set the local preference value of 10?
community is a 32-bit value. that broken into two 16-bit values
for example 65000:100. Often the first 16-bits represent the AS, and the second 16-bits are a custom value. provider will pre-define the second value , and actions that they take. As a customer you set the communities to match what provider says. and provider will take action. Answer to question it depends what u agree what action provider will take.
same thing no? If no-export set then network is not advertised to EBGP neighbors, hence advertised only to IBGP neighbors, hence staying in local AS, but that’s the same as local-as community 🤷🏼♂️
Hi , the video was nicely done,

once again thanks, great videos
thanks , i am glad it helped
