What if I had 5 vlans to stretch across MPLS? What would be the configs on PE and CE side then? Of all the numbers you configured, which ones must be the same on all PE's? which ones must be unique on all PE's? You never explained those concepts and Real-World application of this VPLS. What does RANGE number do? What's the purpose of "service-instance" number?

why we use encapsulation dot1q is it mandatory

thanks for making attempt to deliver this. i do understand how to configure L3VPN on cisco ,but came here to see for L2VPN . i understood everything from the beginning but got lost ,from the configuration command on PE 2 router basically from 7:16. i dont like seeing commands without a bit of information of it meanings and uses . nice try but not satisfied but thanks for the effort but not impressed . L2VPN BGP signaling and L2VPN (mpls based purely ). was why i was here , but did not get what i need . and thanks to Bradly ,a Cisco schooler who i read his books. just that he did not talk mush on L2VPN on his ccnp books.
