I've probably built about a dozen RC kits in my life and I am rarely impressed by someone else's work but this build is something like I've never see. I aspire to be able to build kits at half the level of this man. Very impressive.
This video still amazes me a year later... And helped me make the plunge into building an RC car again. 10 years out of the hobby. and i'm already plunging into the deep end.
Man. It’s not just your artistic talent and creativity with these builds. Everything about this video is a masterpiece. Watching your videos makes me feel calm and content in a way I can’t describe. Thank you.
That's the greatest rc build I've seen ever. The best part was, no deflections in any of the wheels/tires when it was rolling. That rc must drive like a dream! Well done and inspiring as well. I have an older scx10 II. Now I'm gonna build me a III.
@@MechanicAfterHours your video shows you picking the hardwares out of small boxes. Are those separate from the actual kit? I have never built any RC just always just gotten RTR's, but you made it look so professional. I have picked up so many techniques from just watching you!
Thanks! The kit comes with the proper screws but I didn't use them as I have some stainless ones that I decided to use instead. This build has a number of aftermarket mods (gears and parts). But, I always put the parts in labeled plastic containers-just makes it more organized and faster at least for myself. Good luck if you ever build a kit, just take your time!
love this build. I was inspired to make one and I just finished it with my own twist. sent you some photos on messenger. thanks for the great work and videos.
I've just been getting into the RC world and blown away by everyone's details and dedication. This was a great build and that was definitely the right vehicle to choose. Your really great like everyone has started. I'll be watching more, keep up the great work.
For "not being a painter" you did an excellent job! Last few bodies I did for my Tekno MT410, I kept it basic with just two colours an stickers to make the process much faster. On the Tekno, you go through bodies faster than gas guys go through nitro, I swear! lol
i try to build the same ;) for now i've just finished the frame and 3D printing some parts to adapt the body with the original system of the scx. Painting is my next step! Congrats and thanks for the idea!!
What an amazing build and video. I've built this 10.3 also and yours seems so much better lol. Since watching your videos my builds and build areas have been more organized. You're very inspiring
Great piece of art and craftsmanship. I love Toyota also, so I can appreciate that for sure. Those red and black rims are by far the best looking also. Not even close. With the krawler ka to match its perfect. More crawlers please!!!!! Trx4 next in a Tacoma 4th gen body. (3d printed). Would be amazing! Keep up the great work.
Nothing crawls like a Toyota with a SAS, ha. Nice build. The baja bronco body has been teased, looks pretty awesome. I like the play on the old Toyota paint scheme
TAKE MY MONEY!!! hahaha Superb job! Please do more crawler builds, the fit and finish is just superb. You can really tell that you enjoy it by going that extra mile.
Thanks, Christian! I appreciate the feedback and nice words. Maybe one day I will build another. If only I had the terrain for it. But the excuse is it takes too much space haha
Incredible. I absolutely love this generation of the 4Runner, and you have done it justice for sure! I am slowly getting to the end of the catalog of your videos, and almost sad. Looking forward to more. Cheers
Thanks, retro | reborn! I appreciate the kind feedback and support! Sorry, I haven't had a video lately, things just got quite busy outside of the hobby. But I'm finishing up one build and it should be up in a week. And still have a fair number to build. Stay tuned!
Great build and an amazing video. Like the touches like adding a few comments and photos at the end. I know those red and carbon wheeler were a bear, but they sure do set off the look. Thank you for creating and sharing this content. Thumbs up!
Thanks, Jeff! Thank you for watching and I appreciate the nice words. Yes, those wheels were a tad tedious but you're right, and it was worth it in the end.
Thanks for watching, Ron Hart! My hobby room is just a corner, unfortunately. I started late last year on this hobby and wasn't really prepared in terms of space. One day maybe :D.

I like the old 4runners too. Always been a Toyota guy. Currently driving a Scion TC stock except a few goodies under the hood , but still a daily driver. The 4runner is what made me click on this.
Just a thought. Not sure if you do patreon, but you could release video of entire build at normal speed for higher tiers. I bet a lot of people would like to see some of the steps at normal speed so they could learn from you. Your work is amazing.
