Without doubt a national treasure. I have collected over 340 Chris Foss covers/ books and I still get a kick every time I pick one up. Should be a Knight.
Chris, I've been an absolute fan of your work for more than fifty years. Around 1971, when I was 14 years old, I had a Summer job at Granada, in Golden Square, London. You had a small studio/office there, and one day I'd taken up some delivery for you and was admiring your paintings that were scattered around the room. We chatted about science fiction and art for a short time, and to my amazement and eternal gratitude you asked me if I'd like to have some. They still have pride of place on my wall to this day. I don't imagine you'd remember it, but it is something that I've never forgotten as if it was yesterday. Thank you for being not only a great artist, but also a kind, genuine, absolute 'diamond geezer'.
Fascinating. I was an avid reader of Issac Asimov books and impressed by the covers, so it's a revelation that Chris is a Guernsey local. Great interview here. I'm off now to the exhibition at Art for Guernsey.

great interview
Never heard Mr Foss talk before. Glad to see he’s super charming and a great storyteller (of course).

A lovely recollection, I'll make sure Chris sees it 😊
My number one Sci-Fi artist.
Good grief, when a man speaking about his career makes you cry!
Chris Foss is a Freakin' Legend of Awesome Sauce! :D
