I think zombiegrub offered a good analysis of the interaction that happened at 26:48. and I was pretty impressed by both players. I think what happened was that clem scanned ahead to see what kind of zerg army was coming his way, saw an infester and was like, "I know that can't be the only infestor and chances are there's one behind me." so clem scans behind because he recognizes the threat of an infestor fungalling from the rear. reynor, realizing that, with the front and rear infestor now compromised, he has to salvage what engagement he can, uses his flanking infestor to fungal whatever he can in consolation. and, with the now burrowed banes that he immediately burrows to try to reduce clem's front army and timed with the nydus worm that is about to pop, he'll be able to force clem to make a decision because clem no longer has an army large enough to both defend the nydus and the front - give up the gold or allow the nydus to potentially wreck the natural or main.
I think reynor's bane mine there is incredibly amazing 'cause it demonstrates that he knows instinctively how far clem's vision would be because he burrows the banes on the fly right outside of clems vision just seconds after clem scanned the area that would have had them revealed had the banes been there before the larger fight.
You are my favorite Winters. Been going thru it for a year there. It warms my heart to find your genuine ass is still here making beautiful music. Thank you
"but if what you are expecting is a blood thirsty brawl, a back and forth between 2 SC2 genuises... well... the the youtube comment section is below" one of the best intros ever!
17:58 Once heard HeroMarine say on stream he could annoy Protoss players to never want to play the game again. Now on one hand: curious 🤔... But on the other: didn't want him to demonstrate 😮...
One doesn't have to be a genius to get the "I'm 1/3 terran/zerg/protoss myself" joke, so I never cared to comment about it. But just now I've realized how Dutch it is to make "clever jokes" like this.
I love how he sometimes mildly insults the audience (or part of it), e.g. "How's the retirement font?", followed by a completely natural sounding:"Like and subscribe" - Sort of an "anti-timing" for that phrase :)
I just want to take this opportunity to remind people that back when Mutas were considered "good" and they "worked" the game would usually go like "Oh damn, you built Mutas and I didnt scout it? Welp, GG then" and the game was over. So yes, they were the winning move, but usually didn't cause very exiting games.
I saw a lot of baneling vs marine on ramps in game 2. Is there any chance Reynor could have been using A-move instead of detonate to take advantage of the bonus damage bug?
That's true. Both Reynor and Clem have way higher APMs than Serral. But Serral has insanely efficient APM, very evident from his first person view shown in IEM.
While clem just outplayed reynor harshly in these games (some of them, anyway) it feels like T is just overtuned atm. From the beginning of game 1 with 9 lost drones it's kinda clear reynor lost that game then and there. Would it have been the other way round, T could've easily turtled and come back through efficient trading, zerg on the other hand just does not have enough units by that point to defend against stimmed bio on all sides because it is so strong.
bane mines also require manual detonation, is single use only and is literally melee range AND needs multiple of them to actually kill anything, guy has to stare at that location hoping the army walks over to detonate them. Unlike your oh so underpowered widow mines that fires automatically, can recharge, has 4-5ish range with a massive AOE and with a massive single target damage as well that also deals bonus dmg against shields and if gone unnoticed, a single mine can kill entire probes mineral line instantly, or massive groups of 12-20, lings/ banes, or one shotting an oracle that cost 150/150, to your outrageous cost of a widow mine, 75/25. mmmhmmm, seems fair indeed
@@adoi8467 names aren’t used as mines that much… your right, widow mines fires automatically yet a decent amount do the time they do friendly fire… unlike banes. Yes you can direct fire the widow mines but that is extremely rare even in pro games. I’d gamble less than 10 percent are targeted
Jimmy, I just wanted to say thankyou for all you do in the background. We appreciate you dude.
Thank you

That supply depot. Magic!
that's not a supply depo, that's a teleporter!
I can’t believe clem solved the walled off siege tank problem
The best Terran in the world understands that sim city is for nerds. Simply wall off the entire factory so they teleport to your natural ramp
5:30 for those who missed that
@@NgardSCgentleman and a scholar
I've been watching you for years... thank you
"It may be larger, but it has a completely different mouthfeel"
Well said, Winter. Well said.
27:02 .. OH MY GOD! :D
.. that brings back memories about that epic Scarlett vs Bomber match :)
What a series, my favorites of all time are Scarlett vs Bomber series.
I think reynor's bane mine there is incredibly amazing 'cause it demonstrates that he knows instinctively how far clem's vision would be because he burrows the banes on the fly right outside of clems vision just seconds after clem scanned the area that would have had them revealed had the banes been there before the larger fight.
2:10 reaching artosis level casting, youre truly reaching for the stars and beyond with these casts winter!! so hype to watch everytime
You are my favorite Winters. Been going thru it for a year there. It warms my heart to find your genuine ass is still here making beautiful music. Thank you
I remember installing StarCraft 1 pre-expansion with a CD on my PC when it just came out.
These two indeed makes the most interesting games worth watching. That 2nd game with mines from both sides are just masterful and fun!
clem doing marines medvac with crazy apm? truly creative never seen before tactic!
That last game was craaazaay. Thank you winter your youtube videos really light up my days and have made me start playing sc2 again.
5:47 Who needs warp technology..
lmao
"but if what you are expecting is a blood thirsty brawl, a back and forth between 2 SC2 genuises... well... the the youtube comment section is below" one of the best intros ever!
With Clem loving the widow mines so much, can we say that :
The kid yearns for the mines?
17:58 Once heard HeroMarine say on stream he could annoy Protoss players to never want to play the game again.

But on the other: didn't want him to demonstrate 😮...
Great Casting! I´ve never played StarCraft 2, followed this channel for about a week and just saw a player lose a game for the first time.
Fun fact: A single adrenal glance Zergling or Stimmed Marine have more dps than a single Muta with all bounces.
What has more DPS a crackling or a stimmed marine?
According to Liquipedia there are 22 out of 48 units (excluding buildings) that have a higher dps than these two. So, nearly half.
Man , i really appreciated the helldivers reference , love your videos and i dont even play the game , just like watching the gods play .
"your not allowed to do that..." LOL
Goddamn that Susan Karen Queen bit is FUNNYYYYY. Do more of that please :DD
Brenda should have her own channel
He does that on every single cast in which Zerg is present and on some of the non-zerg matches too.
Awesome starcraft 2 commentary thanks.
5:52 - Holy shit that Sim City for the siege tank? How does Clem think of this while playing at this level is beyond me.
Those stutter-steppers should only do half the damage to the enemies and themselves since half the time they are pointing at their feet.
the _kid_ vs. the _protoss_ :D
One doesn't have to be a genius to get the "I'm 1/3 terran/zerg/protoss myself" joke, so I never cared to comment about it. But just now I've realized how Dutch it is to make "clever jokes" like this.
My brain had no problem reading "Epic Fails" but still ended up clicking the lime button.
Thank You
Om nom nom
Been trying to start this all day but too busy xD Finally, a feast fit for the viewing!
13:30 : The medivacs heal nearly as fast as the Lurkers deal damage, so this was a safe bet!
Very impressed by Reynor. Last games looked fun to play.
WINTER- jsyk, "get of my CREEP" never gets old.
ouch. I remember installing broodwar spawns on friends computers so we could all LAN. Retirement funds doing alright.
these dudes do be heckin fast tho
"How's the retirement fund?"
I feel called out. 😢
...
It's doing well, thanks. 😅

27:05 - what a moment
SC 1 Brood Wars I installed using a CD Drive, I used DVD drive to install SCII, yes I am old :D
Winter big up to your work your commentary is so passionate & epic . Blessing from France
My retirement account says "We need more minerals"
Amazing first game!
That was a fun watch
Loving the streams! Feature Request: Could you timestamp the start of each map so I can come back and find where i left off!
With the amount of medivacs in autumn colors, raynor making no vipers hurts my soul...
Still great games tho
banemines were so well done
Thay was clever 0:41
I saw a lot of baneling vs marine on ramps in game 2. Is there any chance Reynor could have been using A-move instead of detonate to take advantage of the bonus damage bug?
The casual 1k APM
Im here for the bloodbath
Winter! Put Jimmy on camera!😊
great games.
Clem is definitely the GOAT for making a Barracks pop a tank outside of it 5:50
Do they make emotional support SCVs?
For efficient content creation, this can be recycled as an Bjun vs Solar bo5.
terrans should build a raven!!
Reynor is never that type of cerebral player, only around Tier B+...he's more of a reactive than proactive...
clem is on stim
baby jesus vs baby jesus 2
Are 8 queens 1 Henry the 8th worth of queens?
Clem may a need a new player card stat having to do with starter banshees making it to 15minutes
Gotta aim higher with the likes!
It feels like Reynor has alot of apm, but not alot of useful apm :(
That's true. Both Reynor and Clem have way higher APMs than Serral. But Serral has insanely efficient APM, very evident from his first person view shown in IEM.
before Reynor was ""the kid")
Retirement fund doing ok.
One day Terran will be balanced
CLEM MAH BOIIIIII

Why doesn't he just build a raven?!?!?
Reynor want survive the gsl
hot take: clem would be an irrelevant gm terran if widow mines didn't carry him so far
Mayhem ^^
Reynor gaining weight :)
Winter!! For one of your upcoming casts, would you mind a shout-out to Josh Archer (U.S. Coast Guard Veteran)
Retirement fund is good
Swarm Rax
Another day, another loss for reynor.
Jimmy face reveal when?
157 from the goal
clem can dish it out with mines, but somehow can't handle it with baneling mines which are melee range and need manual cast. glass jaw balance abuser.
2 years from retirement... lol... 266Mhz computer for SC1, cdrom... Too slow to play, watch every day.
No! Do not stop coming up with new, funny and clever ways of asking for likes and subscribes!
Great commentary btw
Ok you did it at after the first game, I'll shut up now.. or will I?! Alright I will just for you
Reciently, Reynor loses a lot
Now convinced that if he didn't have the worst unit in the game as a crutch, Clem wouldn't even be in the top 10 Terrans out there.... Sad
Widow mines are his no-APM crutch in case there was any doubt at all
nois
why do you cast useless games when Serral is the obvious winner :D
Because people like to watch beautiful, fun and/or exciting things.
Not necessarily the number one.
Zoomers be zooming
So you can see widow mines but not banes… seems fair

You can have the banelings in exchange for widow mines.
