Just picked up Nevernight back in Nov and it had me hooked by page 2 lol I finally grabbed the 2nd and 3rd books and can't wait to finish the series. Such a fantastic author!
I just finished this trilogy and it is incredible! Love it so much with all my heart. Now I’m sad wondering about what book I should read next and if it’s going to be as good as this one 😢
I agree, that cover art is freaking awesome! I almost grabbed it today when I picked up the first 2 books of Malazan and first 3 of the Dresden Files (my first ever fantasy books as an adult.... I'm starting with Malazan and it is AWESOME so far. I'm really happy I didn't listen to all the people claiming it's hard for beginners)
This made me pull the trigger on this book. I absolutely loved EOTV but have been weary of this series because everyone I've talked to either says it's AMAZING or that's it's TOTAL TRASH but when I book can elicit such strong emotion...well it's gotta be doing something correctly. Just finished the second book in your series by the way. Waiting for September for the audiobook for the third to come out so me and my friend can buddy-listen to it but waiting is SO FREAKING HARD. No bullshit Mr. Durfee these first two books of yours are in my top ten favorite books of all time...thats TWO spots most likely going to be three. Never stop being you man.

I started this book and put it down because of the weird style of narration. It kinda irked me to be honest, but since you made this review, I'm of a mind to go back and finish it. I do like Locke Lamora a lot!

The narration style is "out there" and it takes a minute to get into the flow of it. But once you do...
Tarantino fantasy on steroids... you have my attention

Well I love 'The Sopranos' and 'Lies of Locke Lamora' and I'm loving 'Empire of the Vampire' so definitely gotta try this 🤔
