As much as I enjoy seeing the scenery and the Bronco going through the terrain, I also very much enjoy the camping parts of the videos. The fire building, cooking, and coffee making help make the videos so cool and relaxing. Not sure if anyone else feels this way though.
I used to enjoy all this, but everybody seems to make the same video. It all seems pretentious, and everyone shows steak cooking, making coffee and pouring whiskey. For me it’s gotten quite old.
Plenty of other channels making different content. Just because you don’t like doesn’t mean others don’t. Like I said, this is not the normal video for me, but everyone besides you seems to love it
@ and yet at the end of the day they all grind coffee, pour bourbon, and cook meat no matter the adventure. I get it though there’s just not much else you can really do in this genre.
I most the time focus on the exploration. Bourbon and coffee are nice transitioning shots as a way to keep the story moving, but really I like to focus on the journey. This was an outlier but I still had a ton of fun making it
Hey brother you are a big reason why I chose my bronco when I needed a new car. I like your videos. I like how you accentuate sounds of everything you do wether driving down a gravel road, a river cross, crackling fire or clinking ice in your drink. Keep it up man. Hope all is well. Keeping getting OFG
Hi mate. Found your channel via TSTN. Glad I have. Great content from what I’ve seen so far. Everything is always so much wetter over here in the UK. I know what these videos take to make. So just wanna say. It’s appreciated.
Great video! I really appreciate that you mentioned your friends at the end. That is a reminder that we are not alone in this journey, sharing the same vibe and energy. I feel like moments like this are needed, life in the city can get overwhelming, especially these days with the traffic here in Washington 😵💫. If you don’t mind, can you share the location, I would like to go there. Thank you brother! 💪🏻
I completely understand how what you do is therapy. Just watching it is therapy to me. But I'm building out a Jeep and I'll be there soon. Thanks for what you've done and what you do.
So you have helped convince me to pull trigger and I’m only finishing day 2 of being a Badlands 24’ Bronco owner! It’s amazing and I’m loving learning about it in your videos and what it’s capable of, plus now in testing it. But I was asked from my friend today, is the engine noise all real? Or is it fake through the speakers cause the 2.7 V6 sounds pretty damn good (coming from a V8 f150 I was happily suprised too)
Only thing missing from a relaxing evening was to spend a little time swinging a fly through that water. 🙂 Enjoyed the video - good escape while I ate lunch at my desk at work.
So glad I discovered your channel. The quality of your videos is second to none. I’m looking for a new tailgate table. Could you provide a link to the one you have?
Normally I can get moss (I’ve heard it called witches hair??) that never fails me when lighting a fire. But none of that was available in this spot. Need to practice starting a fire without that. But thank you!
Its my dream to be able to do this , even once or twice a year . I live in Louisiana, far from MOST or the great areas. But im praying one day to take my daughter out there.
Hey David - truly amazing video...the level of professionalism with the cinematography is incredible, and you are able to capture what it means to overland in such a cool way. Quick Question, at 6:50 the shot auto focuses onto the background. I'm assuming you use Sony Alpha of some sort...is this a built in feature, or something separate? Thanks!
Many creators use drones for amazing aerial footage… but I really like that you also do something that almost no one else does, which is to use it as a dolly/pan rig. Because using these camera movements really enhances the quality of your videos! Congratulations!
I'm not much into camping in the winter months, hurts my arthritis to bad. But your videos make me want to throw my RTT on and get out there where its quiet so I can decompress from the day to day. Thanks for taking us along, its not quite as good as going, but its the next best thing.
A pro-tip : pull the fire steel rather than strike the knife. Keep the knife still and pull the fire steel. It's easier to land the sparks where you want them 🙂👍
@OFFTHEGRIND also wanted to say that I really enjoy your videos. They are super relaxing to watch, and I just love that Bronco of yours! Best wishes for the holidays 🎅👍
Really enjoy these, David, and I needed that this morning! I love your cinematography and you’ve been a source of inspiration for how I film some of the travel sequences in my own videos. BTW nice night sky timelapse you sneaked in! Looks like you were fighting lens fog but I loved the Starglow effect it gave. 👌
Yes, David to keep his spot. I like guys did to go with David to head a trail her back home. There’s a good idea. You guys doing good how to go camping
Try holding your knife near your tinder, and pull the ferro rod away from the tinder (towards you). That way, you don’t smack the tinder with your knife and chance knocking it over and losing some of it. Great video as always my friend.
A friend of mine was telling about a campground he thought I'd like on that famous river over there. Then I'm watching this video and decide to check out the coastal rivers to see where it could be. I'm panning around google maps amd see the campground my friend told me about, so I zoomed in and saw the tracks leading out onto the river bank. Looks like a great spot. Glad you got the time away that you needed and deserve. Safe travels.
dude this is great. this vid reminds me of everything i love about wa. Nice work on all the solo drone/driving shots btw, a little trickier than most realize
Minha inspiração, a liberdade e conectividade com natureza e Deus é o fortalecimento da alma e espírito, Deus e terra….parabéns pelo vídeo sensacional 👏👏👏
First off your production quality is great and I do enjoy these types of videos, but I couldn’t help feel a sense of melancholy… however making coffee, cooking steak and pouring bourbon seems to be a common theme in all of these videos and it’s getting a little long in the tooth. Yeah its a huge parts and really fun but again everyone is doing it.
overly cinematic close shots of fire, consistent unnecessary music that spoils nature vibe. Just too polished and looking like an advertisement. No thanks..

@anthony-moya thank you! I like the trips where you are exploring from sun up to sun down, but it’s really nice to have a chill trip on occasion

Thanks so much! I spend a lot of time in sound design so I’m glad it’s appreciated. Hope you like the bronco!
This was just the kind of relaxing I needed. Great video.
Thanks man!
Top tier cinematography
Thank you sir!! I try
Awesome video thank you so much for sharing and allowing us to follow your journey.
My pleasure! Glad you enjoyed it

Nothing like an OTG vid to relax me before bed. Great message at the end, and extremely cool shots throughout!
Thanks so much!
Your drone work is best in class. Absolutely outstanding.

I love these videos. They always inspire me to get out and reconnect with nature.
So glad! Thank you!
Really sweet vid David. I'm very envious of you guys out west. New England just doesn't have this.
Hope all is well. ❤❤
Thank you! Yeah we are very lucky over here that’s for sure
I completely understand how what you do is therapy. Just watching it is therapy to me. But I'm building out a Jeep and I'll be there soon. Thanks for what you've done and what you do.
Love this genuinely 🫶🏽
Love the location and video. We live in Camas and camp off grid in the Olympics as well. Thank you for sharing

Another soothing video...great setup
Tip: scrap off some of the ferro rod onto the kindling then spark it.
Beautiful. Your cinematography keeps getting better and better.
Only thing missing from a relaxing evening was to spend a little time swinging a fly through that water. 🙂

As you know the more NW you go the harder it is to start a fire in a rain forest. Great videos keep them coming. Much love.
Normally I can get moss (I’ve heard it called witches hair??) that never fails me when lighting a fire. But none of that was available in this spot. Need to practice starting a fire without that. But thank you!
Looked like a great spot to camp. Loved the cast iron on the coals.
Looks like it was a good time. Thanks for taking us along for the ride.
Its my dream to be able to do this , even once or twice a year . I live in Louisiana, far from MOST or the great areas. But im praying one day to take my daughter out there.
Great job, great vacation, great video! 👍👍👍
I think is by far my favorite - simple journeys, big impact. Good work on those shots!!!
A nice peaceful and relaxing video. At least for us. The amount of B roll required is an incredible amount of work. BZ ❤️
Thank you! But it was peaceful for me too. I absolutely love capturing nature and the adventure. It’s just as much medicine for me as the trip itself
Thank you so much! My soul needed that more than I knew. ❤
So glad you enjoyed it! Very quintessentially PNW I feel
6:26 that is a pretty good rye!
Really enjoy your vids. Makes me really think about moving back to Oregon. I just would need to be far far away from Portland.

Excellent video! I know all the work that went into those shots. Truly great!
It's amazing how just one night away can refresh us. The last minute of the video was incredibly cool and relaxing.
Great camera shots!
Thank you! Such a good trip for me but I’m glad most everyone seems to have enjoyed it just as much
I'm not much into camping in the winter months, hurts my arthritis to bad. But your videos make me want to throw my RTT on and get out there where its quiet so I can decompress from the day to day. Thanks for taking us along, its not quite as good as going, but its the next best thing.

I actually tried that. Both hands. I’m not coordinated like that for some reason but I keep trying
@OFFTHEGRIND also wanted to say that I really enjoy your videos. They are super relaxing to watch, and I just love that Bronco of yours! Best wishes for the holidays 🎅👍
That night shot was cool. The mist totally added to it... dreamy
Really enjoy these, David, and I needed that this morning! I love your cinematography and you’ve been a source of inspiration for how I film some of the travel sequences in my own videos. Another epic video! I love the slo-mo Devos shot!

It’s one of my abaolute favorite spots. Not really much to explore in the area, but such a good spot to just chill for a night
Nice work David. Thanks for sharing!
Dude. EXCELLENT video. I was relaxed just watching this.
Man, top notch cinematography!
Thanks for taking us along on your journey. Your post production is simply awesome and you deserve more subscribers!
What an awesome Video. Your Video skills are georges
Kral 🎉🎉🎉
Man…great places! Time to add fly fishing to your skill set.
dude this is great. this vid reminds me of everything i love about wa. Nice work on all the solo drone/driving shots btw, a little trickier than most realize
Thanks man! Yeah they are definitely tricky. When done right though the pay off is so good!
Definitely need to check this spot out over the Christmas break, amazing video as always
Serenity is a quality of the videos you make. Cheers!
Love that, thank you so much!
Very well shot video man. Sometimes I like these type of vids more vs a full blown adventure. Great work as always David.
Thanks! That’s good to know. Kinda nice to slow down every once in a while and just relax
Great video, thank you for posting it, i still need to finish my 1970 bronco so i can do the same thing you’re doing with your bronco
Get on it my man!
Minha inspiração, a liberdade e conectividade com natureza e Deus é o fortalecimento da alma e espírito, Deus e terra….parabéns pelo vídeo sensacional 👏👏👏
Thank you so much!
Great location for an overnight reset! 🏆
Thanks for the break from the grind!
Merry Christmas
I love one night trips away! Thanks for another great video. What camp chair is that? It looks really comfy.
One nighters are a lot of fun! It’s from Iceco. It also had the cushion that they sell for it and it is amazing!
Love the 2nd pour: “Two shots of vodka”
both my favorite overland yters uploaded solo camping videos heres my sign to go too i guess lol
Get out there!!
I like your style, now I need info on your roof light bar, I'll did thru your videos...
Чудове відео! Спокійний відпочинок. Супер!
David, what table do you use for your tailgate? Are you happy with it?
Great video 😉
Always a good viewing when you upload bro. What's that whiskey you drinking?
Where is the camp chair from? Love the lined high back
Dude awesome video! Love your trips. If your okay sharing it, what river is this along?
Incredible video. Breakfast would have made it even better. Either way keep up the great work.
Epic morning shots. No diesel heater with all that frost?
Thanks! Nope. I have a little 400w space heater that I click on before I get out of the bag, but the iKamper down sleeping bag is really warm
6:33 good choice
How do i hit this trail? Do you have a OnX or Gaia file you can share?
❤❤❤
Hey, get some collabs?
First off your production quality is great and I do enjoy these types of videos, but I couldn’t help feel a sense of melancholy… however making coffee, cooking steak and pouring bourbon seems to be a common theme in all of these videos and it’s getting a little long in the tooth. This type of video is not the norm for me. Just need a change of pace
Nice landscapes, but tell me , Why do Americans use so much plastic? Terrible
We’re big fans of cancer.
The utensils I used are actually fully compostable and BPA free, made from plants. Just cause I hate cleaning at camp
overly cinematic close shots of fire, consistent unnecessary music that spoils nature vibe. Just too polished and looking like an advertisement. No thanks..
Yet completely void of advertising. Interesting take
@@OFFTHEGRIND You mean embedded or from UA-cam ? Plenty of other vids devoid of embedded advertising
