    Great videos on the longitude.
You may know this but FYI…
    Equation for decent:
Current altitude - (minus) desired final approach altitude x 3 then divided by 1000 = miles out to start decent
    Ground speed x 5 = decent rate
Has been working well for me.

SUPER clear, super informative video. The Citation Longitude 700 is probably my favorite jet in the game and with the flight model + WT mods it brings it to the next level. Thanks so much for this video.

So so helpful. Ive just spent the last two hours watching Part 1 and Part 2. That includes jumping back and occasionally pausing. Ive got the Guide saved and ready, but wanted to watch this full tutorial first. Ive been struggling with Nav, Autopilot etc. Learned a lot with these two videos great job taking the time to slow down and explain each step for us.
    Thank you.

Would love to see some videos on the Diamond DA62. Give the GA some love! It’s my favorite aircraft in the game and seems pretty well flushed out for a stock aircraft. Just feels good to fly. This has been a great tutorial series and I feel much more confident with this plane. Can’t wait to see what you have in the future and plan on buying a guide here soon. Thanks for everything

FLC is Flight Level Change. Its not the same as VNAV.
FLC is desighned to adjust the pitch to maintain the airspeed you have set. It will descend quickly dependant on the airspeed you select. Offers speed protection of course. It ignores the altitude constraints in the FMC.
It's VNAV that descends according to THE FMC descent profile.
I don't have the new sim yet so not sure if VNAV is implemented for this aircraft in the sim.
Glideslope should be intercepted from below.
Keep up the good work. 👍

I don’t have this aircraft as I haven’t upgraded to the Premium collection in MSFS, but it stands to reason that if the Longitude with the Flight Dynamics mod is compatible with the WT G3000 mod, VNAV should be functional, yes? So after watching this, two questions: 1) does VNAV in the WT G3000 mod include support for a speed parameter for each waypoint in the approach, and 2) why didn’t you use VNAV to manage your altitude on the approach - even if speed needed to be managed manually (depending on answer to #1)?

In a real plane FLC is used to set the SPEED at which to climb or descend to the altitude set in the altitude preselect. So FLC is constrained by the FMC, in that it will stop at the altitude preselected.

    • @martinw245
      @martinw245 2 роки тому +1

      @@TenantRepGuru
As I said. Pitch is adjusted to maintain speed.
"Flight Level Change" Mode, or "Speed" Mode, adjusts aircraft pitch to maintain a constant indicated airspeed."
As for the FMC, altitude preselect is on the autopilot panel, glare shield in a big jet, FLC will ignore all altitude constraints in the FMC and level off at the altitude set on the autopilot panel.

I’ve improved the cockpit with the walnut & cream finish @ also the passenger section has been up graded, as I feel the longitude has been ignored keep up the good work Paul Birmingham U K.

    Hi - nice, detailed videos.
I am new to the world of Flight Sim, but fly a HondaJet with the G3000 in real life. I am trying to use FLC in the Latitude, but can not seem to set the Speed. Do I need to download something or is there a trick to setting it? Currently, I left click on the SPD and roll the mouse wheel and nothing changes. That approach works on selecting the altitude though. Thx

  • @jameswebb2856

Don't worry about the autopilot mistake. That just adds realism into it. Also, in the CRJ-700 the callout after takeoff was "Positive rate, gear up select Nav (or HDG). At 400 ft. AGL the callout was "Autopilot ON". Let me know if this correlates to the Longitude. Is there a written checklist for this aircraft? You should be able to arm APPR Mode before Glide Slope intercept. Don't beat yourself up on the mistakes, remember you are flying a two pilot aircraft single pilot. In the real world you would have a First Officer to do a lot of the things you had to do yourself. Great video.

Great intro to the Longitude. I am not sure that your flap setting speeds are correct. I would think that 210 kts for F1 and 180 kts F2
The yellow tape on the speed display is the minimum speed for that configuration. Let me say I have no experience with the Cessna aircraft so I could be wrong, I do have 15,000 plus hours on jets.

Hey bro. I have been flying the Longitude for months. Without a tutorial in the beginning, I sort of did my own thing and tried to figure out what works. I have no issue with take-offs but since I have your tutorial, I thought I might clean up my process and follow your tutorial. The problem is; I cannot get the auto-throttle to engage. I have tried watching the process several times without success. In essence, I throttle to 50% N1 and slowly creep down the runway eating up the runway. I have tried a few things but for some reason I cannot get AT to acuate. AT normally seems to work fine once I get some altitude. I tried engaging AP early while rolling but still no joy on the AT. Any thoughts on what step I am missing?
