Back in 60s also early 70s cars came stock with powerglide 2speed transmissions so whoever says can't street drive them they did back in the day
they didnt have 4000 rpm stall converters though. but sure theres no reason it cant be street driven.
Shii my car has a 4500 stall and I drive my car to school every morning

People seem to forget that we didn't really have overdrive transmissions till the 80s. Powerglides WERE streetcar transmissions.
Electronic steering malfunction? I worked at a Chevy dealer for a while and the cobalts has a recall on the electronic steering motors for a similar problem.
Everyone loves to see a race car on the streets! That thing is so nasty! I’m running close to the same set up in a 2800lb car lol. Excited is not really a good interpretation of my emotions 🤣😂
People are so stupid, do you know how many factory cars came with glides back in the day. Don't believe everything you read on the internet. Just because alot of track cars use them doesn't make it a strictly racing trans.

I used to have a 70 Nova bone stock with a 307/powerglide. Wish i still had it.
I had a 69 Chevelle with the same drivetrain. I loved that car.

What rear gear are you running? I went with a turbo 400 in my car, but I think once you meet a certain horsepower level first gear is unusable in a TH350/400 and they just wheelie if you hook.
I have a 3.50 gear but would prefer a 3.73
And I'm over here struggling to by wheels for my car lol

It cant be the transmission the surge in my opinion is that the cam is either too radical or youre not scavenging enough from the exhaust edit: long tibe headers or aftermarket high end heads

Monster trucks use powerglides and they weigh 10,000 lbs. People who doubt the use probably can't afford a built glide and are jealous. Lol

I know your is a aftermarket case glide, but how far would you recommend a stock 1.76 cased glide too. My car is a mid 700hp 3000lbs car. Just thought I would ask, kinda new to this turbo stuff and still learning.

You make it sound like it's not a logical idea to put a Powerglide trans in a somewhat heavy camaro. People forget that a large amount of the Impala's, Caprice, Chevelles, LeMans, etc of the mid to late 60's were equipped with Powerglides. Those were some heavy cars. Somewhere in time someone started that falsehood about the Powerglide. And people still think they are a weak transmission. Have had more than one Powerglide over the years. Put in a hardened input shaft and shift kit. And had a pretty tough trans
Roll cage and harnesses are illegal here...... but my car has them too, (mine are wrapped in foam, not sure if yours is). SEND IT!
If you couldn't street a glide then alot of guys on drag week would be in trouble alot. They abuse them all week and drive over 1k miles.

There is an issue with the factory power steering!
powerglide is strong but the lsx motor makes it power in the top end, i was gonna put a m22 rock crusher but was talked out of it, the gearing is wrong for these motors, last thing, the t-56 is world class:)

Wheel bearing or something with the rack maybe..? Its not brakes because it goes away when you apply them so a ball joint or bushing is shot and its letting one wheel track funny and wobbles then you apply the brakes and it take the slop up and drives fine..def sketchy..and the turbo drain thing I saw a video the other day where they put the drain on the front timing cover so its not draining into a full pool of oil and just flows into the pan..maybe thats a option..im ready for the discount dragon I think thing is gonna fly

Watching this with my 3 year old daughter and she keeps trying to move the wheel with her fingers as you drive. Been kind of hard to watch but it's to funny watching her.

Huge fan of the Cow! I'd drive that car anywhere. I see lots of good ideas on the steering wheel shake in the comments (electric PS motor, stuck brake caliper, wheel balance). I often get the steering wheel wobble when my car sits for more than a few days but only while it's cold. I suspect that it is due to flat spots until the tire gets warm though. Let us know when you figure it out. Keep up the good work and stay safe out there buddy!!!

I've had a break caliper drag and caused wheel shake at65-70-75 till the break pads wore down lol

I would think that it's a balance problem with one of your front wheels because they usually start around 50 and stop around 60. When you were making a turn it quit because the weight of the car was shifted to the balanced tire.
