Im 49 yrs old and grew up in the thrash scene and its great to hear bands like havok, warbringer, violator, merciless death, etc keep thrash alive and kicking serious ass.
+Craig Kinner i hear you bro. Im 37, been listening to thrash since the 80s. its good to see that the style is still going and hasnt changed much at all.
This is why i love thrash. There's some good stuff, some bad stuff, but when i find the right stuff, it feels like the back of my head catches on fire..... ya know, in a good way.
This Snare sound just nails it. Spot on, massive attack without annoying heights. Incredibly great sounding! \m/ I could just listen to him playing nothing but this Snare....
I've seen em twice. Both times I was blown away by not only the entire band's prescision, but at how spot on Pete is on the drums for every song they play. He doesn't miss a friggin beat. Hands down one of the best thrash drummers I've ever seen live. You gotta check em out if you get the chance. You won't be disappointed.
I'm huge fan of JP Gaster, Brann Dailor, Tomas Haake, Morgan Ågren and so forth, but... There is something profoundly refreshing about a very skilled thrash drummer. Pete Webber holds a special place in my heart. Pure joy!
Honestly I see theseguys every time there in denver I always see them in denver the drummer is awesome hes real chill and the bassest is my uncle so I get alot of free stuff haha its awesome!
Come watch my HAVOK drum covers! HAVOK has shared my vids on their facebook page! This was the video that got me into these guys. This drummer is fucking great.
met these guys at jaxx before they got theyre new guitarist.. got drunk and high with em at the bar and in my car.... reallly cool dudes.. no rock star ego what so ever..... BAD ASS night!! \m/ stoked for the new EP guys!!!
Just discovered this band. Remind me of exodus meets annihalator. Thats gotta be a good thing.Massive influences can be heard from a lot of 80's thrash bands .I should know ,I was there.Gotta go and buy this album now. AWSEOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pete Webber is absolutely inspiring. He's got the fundamentals down pat, and he can write killer patterns too. More people can learn to be a sick drummer than can learn to write sick tunes. There's a big difference between the two. But he's the real deal on both accounts. I hope to be as good as him someday. And the dude that commented on how perfectly his kit is tuned: bro, it's not hard to tune a drum set. Yours can sound great too. Buy new skins and tune them. Done deal.
You are definitely my new favorite thrash drummer. Used to be Nick Menza, but you take the cake as far as i'm concerned. I hope to be getting VIP tickets to Shockwave Festival in Virginia, and it would be pretty amazing to meet you and the rest of Havok. you guys are the real reason me and my guitarist are even going to Shockwave. Anyway, Time Is Up is a fucking amazing album, and I cant wait to see you guys live.
EXACTLY!!! And some might like it or not but it's a FACT that Lars has been very influential in the popularization of thrash drumming. I will NEVER understand why so many metalheads need to hate Lars's guts so much!! I hope all the haters out there can play as fast, as precise as he can and be as resilient as he is... And most of all, I hope you can be half as successful as him!! Lars is a pioneer, period!
Well havok seems to be inspired by slayer, they even made a postmortem/raining blood cover on their point of no return EP. And in their song D.O.A the singer makes a typical high-pitched Tom Araya scream

The most underrated drummer.
This is why i love thrash. There's some good stuff, some bad stuff, but when i find the right stuff, it feels like the back of my head catches on fire..... ya know, in a good way.
Well said.
Pete is this generations Nick Menza. The guy's an insane drummer.

Ok, LeHole.

I watch this video over and over!
One of the sickest drummers out there!!
Every time i see the dislike section i always wonder who are the poor souls that have such a bad taste in music
This Snare sound just nails it. Spot on, massive attack without annoying heights. Incredibly great sounding! \m/
I could just listen to him playing nothing but this Snare....
Pete almost looks he's drumming out in the middle of a void in space somewhere
+Jake Hall most badass comment on her kudos brotha... pete fucking rocks doesnt he?
I mean they must have found him in the deep void of space because his drumming is unearthly
I've seen em twice. Both times I was blown away by not only the entire band's prescision, but at how spot on Pete is on the drums for every song they play. He doesn't miss a friggin beat. Lmao, that bass guitar fill at 1:19 reminds me of take no prisoners
toothless CrackHoe i think it’s a deliberate homage
oh bro for suuuure. Brilliant
I'm huge fan of JP Gaster, Brann Dailor, Tomas Haake, Morgan Ågren and so forth, but... There is something profoundly refreshing about a very skilled thrash drummer. Pete Webber holds a special place in my heart. Pure joy!
Perfect blend of speed, technique and taste and power. Instantly became one of my favourite albums and favourite drummers

Reminds me of Lombardo haha
Mac Gordon more like bostaph ;)
Well havok seems to be inspired by slayer, they even made a postmortem/raining blood cover on their point of no return EP. And in their song D.O.A the singer makes a typical high-pitched Tom Araya scream
FriendsASAD doesn't change the fact that webber LOOKS like a young bostaph and drums in a similar style
CaptainKoosh that scream is followed by a very similar to the postmortem riff
