@@TheNewBerser don't know man, we have eloy Casagrande from sepultura too. He still on his 20. For me he really make dave lombardo at his peak looks like a baby. You should check him out, he have an UA-cam channel.
@@df-fd3ei pretty much yeah. His pedals are good to setup for double bass and double pedal setup. It's a festival so probably they were in a hurry and decided to haste and use only one kick. Since the left kick drum slam pad has marks from pedal beater, he is also using the double bd setup.
Old Slipknot drummer Joey Jordison had two bassdrums but only using one for ages. If you look at the kit standing in front of it, it just looks bigger and better in most eyes. Most of the drummers actually use both drums, though.
2:05 am i mistaken in hearing a triplet on the kick while he clearly only does a double stroke on the video?if i keep listening to thrash metal do i grow a pair of adidas like that?
Easy answer: it takes a lot more channels to mic two kick drums (2 channels each on the mixer for each) and I like the look of two and I can set up my kit easier.
His timing is pretty ok considering the amount of power he give to every notes he's playing, he's got punch in his rimshots and in his chops, no moeller or freehand technique bullshit, sure maybe in a few years he'll be all fucked with tendinidis issues etc, but at least younger pals like me will be able to say in a few years "fuck this guy could thrash his drumkit like a beast"
You have no fucking idea what you're talking about. This dude has no problem pulling off his chops live. He plays consistently flawlessly, yet here you are...fuckin couch drummer talking about his "shortcomings" as a musician? Eat shit.
CultureShockGaming Pete's been thrashing it with HAVOK for almost a decade now, and being he's in his 30's I'm sure he's fine. Everyone plays different.
Easily one of the best drummers in the new thrash scene.
I'd say he is easily the best.

Easily. I love watching this guy play. Absolute amazing control over his set.
@@TheNewBerser him and Carlos Cruz
@@lucasaal61 Theres no Sepultura without the Cavalera brothers, and no hes not better. go back to school bro...
One of the best new thrash drummers out there right now in my opinion.
Good old Pete, proper solid, really tight, awesome fills, in fact, ive heard pete and Fill, are best buddies..
Malcosis That's almost as bad as my paper joke. It's terrible.
Pete can play anything
My favorite modern drummer 🤘
A kick drum with click, punch AND low end?! Perfection. Fuck, that sounds SO good.
holy shit,tight as always pete!
Thanks Drummers From Hell.
the position of the right hi-hat is interesting and nice to see the "fake" bassdrum :D
My legs were faster than double bass when i almost miss this song and ran to the stage! It was awesome gig!
Pete Webber you kick ass your big inspirational drummer keep it up and never stop 🤘😆🤘
Makes me wanna burn my kit and take up knitting. What a player 🤟
I’ve never heard of this band or drummer but I’m impressed. Great job sir
That ride fill is so awesome
The bass drum is so powerful
muito bom 👏👏👏👏
pete Webber is a pretty good drummer.
So sick! Pete, you phuckin rule!
So, the left bass drum is just for show? I'm not a drummer so can someone explain?
The use it for show like you said. But it’s easier to mic just one bass drum because both beaters are hitting it.
@@df-fd3ei pretty much yeah. His pedals are good to setup for double bass and double pedal setup. It's a festival so probably they were in a hurry and decided to haste and use only one kick. Since the left kick drum slam pad has marks from pedal beater, he is also using the double bd setup.

El batero lo mejor!
Predator war symbol tattoo..! Fucking sick
Pete, you fuckin rule. Quiet dude in person, but you let your drumming do the talking.
Bro this shit got me pumped \m/
Some SICK fills!! Does anyone know why he uses a double pedal when he has a second bass drum?
TJCombo67 it's a pain in the ass to mic 2 bass drums on tour
It's tough to tune bass drums to the same tone and then micing them together is a whole other headache.
Like others said, its a bitch to tune them identical, and easier to EQ a single drum for live performances.
Most are triggered. One more trigger, same sound.
@@michaelwolfe2149 no triggers btw, he use 2 mics
Bass drum kick pedals or ak47s?
🤘🤘🤘🤘Nailed it
anyone knows the name of that ride? sounds great
Pete has said in another video that it's a Sabian Power Bell.
i think its Sabian's 22" powerbell ride.

not a triplet
machine
I'm one of Pete webber biggest fans, but don't really think he's a drummer from hell
Maybe they didn't have an extra mic for the other bass drum. Did anyone see where the other mic went?
He use 2 mics in one bass drum, Inside and Outside
Wow
Whats the point on using the second bass drum, if you are gonna use double pedal?
I feel like it's just more to carry while touring
CaptainWhirlwind It looks better.
CaptainWhirlwind Easyer micing....
Easyer get same sound.
And you have a backup ready to go in case you blow out the batter head.
haha. that I would have never thought of
Do they really need to carry it? i think the festival or gig will provide it.
Why have two kick drums when u only play one??
Why are there two kicks on the stage?
Looks cool, idk haha
That D beat thought
Why he have second bass drum?...he don't use it...
Why 2 bass drums when he only plays 1?
Exactly 😂😅

@@PeteWebberDrums Thanks for the answer, I`m honoured! This seems to be much more common than I thought.
He doesn’t even have a beater on his left kick drum, it’s just for show

ADIDAS !
Bom vídeo e baterista. Mas peca por enganar que está usando dois bumbos e sim um pedal duplo.
Great video BUT ITS JUST COMPLETELY RUDE TO END IT RIGHT AS POINT OF NO RETURN STARTS!!!!!!!!
Fun fact guys, Joey Jordison has 2 kicks and a double pedal.
Havok would be so much better with a different vocalist.
two bass drums is a scam
Name of this song?
Brutal Prepare For Attack. You have in description.
I wonder if he knows that if he uses his wrists instead of his entire arm that he would be much less tired and way more consistent.
