Chuck E. Cheese (formerly known as Chuck E. Cheese's Pizza Time Theatre, Chuck E. Cheese's Pizza and simply Chuck E. Cheese's) is an American children’s family entertainment center chain founded in 1977 by Atari's co-founder Nolan Bushnell. Headquartered in Irving, Texas, each location features arcade games, amusement rides and musical shows in addition to serving pizza and other food items; former mainstays included ball pits, crawl tubes, and animatronic shows. The chain's name is taken from its main character and mascot, Chuck E. Cheese. The first location opened as Chuck E. Cheese's Pizza Time Theatre in San Jose, California. It was the first family restaurant to integrate food with arcade games and animated entertainment
The retro Chuck E. Cheese feels so much more comforting and fun. The new ones just feel like a soulless arcade.
As if Dave and Busters isn't souless enough... Truly an end of an era
@TennojiNesoberi Dave and Busters was decent I don't really know about it now
@@Jac735 Their arcade used to have an 80-90s aesthetic with neon lights along with a classy wooden vibe in the restaurant. Nowadays the arcade is nothing but modern while the restaurant looks any different than a Buffalo Wild Wings with generic sports memorabilia
I can agree it’s painful me growing up I grew up with the robot being programmed and I grew up with the ball pit now that’s all gone the robot doesn’t perform In shows he is just in random movements ball pit was removed when I was like 5 or 6
Couldn’t have said it better myself 🥲
It's hard to believe this is considered retro now. This is what my chuck e cheese looked like when I was growing up in the early 2000s.
@Rowdy Jr yeah I’m glad I got to grow up in late 2000s and early 10s good times
older people prob said the same thing when places got remodeled in the 80s
@Rowdy Jr yeah, but you could repeat that cycle all the wayback in history. People associate certain eras as the best usually because they were young. Everyone thinks their childhood was the best. Even today there are alot of pros to growing up with technology. It isn't all cons like the older generation that grew up without technology makes it out to be. All perspective.
@@gwenmloveskpopandmore I'm glad I got to grow up in the 90s and early 2000s.

It’s a shame that they’re being forced to remodel. It’s so rare to see a location that hasn’t had any remodels at all! Still complete with the showroom and road stage. The animatronics are in immaculate condition compared to other locations. They should just let this one be 🥹
Sad but they know same store sales will likely increase with the remodel
😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢 I hope they get the new chuck model for the one by one stage :C I wanna cry but I'm 11 and I still love this place and it's sad that they are getting rid of them but chucky can't wait for the future because he thinks it will be better but it will be worse I got inspired by chuck to make my own place like his but it might have a downfall two 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 why chuck why he was so old he was to old to die why did they have to do it to him
It was technically remodeled from a PTT store but still hasn't remodeled since then.
I agree brings back memories when we used to take our kids to chuckie cheese
Isn't this a 2 stage?
I feel that every franchise deserves to have 1 original location that lets you step back into the past.
well we can be partners and create our own 50 60 70 80 90 food chain and go back in time all the time every store we open is old looking and best food and the costumer service of the old days

This country has no respect for the past always moving forwards
My old bud and I used to work at Chuck E Cheese back in the late 90's. They would throw the tickets away in the trash, just bags and bags of them. One night we swung by and gobbled up 3 trash bags full and went to another location and had a blast. We were not relegated to the bottom shelf. Not long after, they started shreading them.
That’s what my fraternal twin brother and I did, once. We nicked them from the trash when no one was looking and redeemed them.
I love a good scam that sticks it to corporations without their knowledge.
You’re the reason why they introduced the tap cards 🤣😝
There's actually a place in Mississippi called Smitty's Super Service Station, which is practically a museum for old 80s Chuck E. Cheese stuff. They even have all the old animatronic shows!
Yep always wanted to go they also have the showbiz pizza animatronics too and old merch/prizes from there
And rock afire explosion too.
@@Flicker_thefo0x yep
WHATT that’s so cool! I hope I can visit one day
Where in MS? That's my home state, and it seems like I've heard of this before...
“Lend a hand” was such a great message. Only 80’s and 90’s would have that awesome message.
Yeah although they have similar songs don’t worry.
This is a new CEC showtape. CEC shows from the 80's and 90's are different and usually cover already existing songs.
I like that song! This is the first time I ever heard it!
@@mojo3318 yeah it came out in 2017 I think
@@gwenmloveskpopandmore Also, I like the bangs in your profile pic!
The animatronics work surprisingly well! Great video!
never thought I’d see you here
Chuck E Cheese was created by Nolan Bushnell, the same man who co-founded Atari. I can't think of two more 1980s companies. Thanks for the memories.
Even though Atari is older than that. It was founded in 1972. Though it took them nearly a decade to gain full prominence. Even that didn't last long for them
Chuck E Cheese was also technically 70s. Late 70s as it started out in but still 70s regardless. In its early years, it was quite trippy from the video footage I saw. I wish time travel was possible so I could go to the first Chuck E Cheese in San Jose. I would so be all over their 70s arcade games from that era
He left Atari and founded CC because he had a strict rule about no human characters shooting or harming each other. That all went tits up when they released Outlaw for the Atari 2600...
Delorean
I wonder what Nolan Bushnel think about Chuck E. today?
I grew up in the apartments behind this Chuckee Cheese...We figured out how to get the big prizes as kids! We would go into their trash dumpster to get trash bags full of old tickets!! It took them about 6 months to catch on! 😂😂😂
"It looks delicious, but it's not." I'm dead.
If Kurt ever makes a highlight video, "Kurt's Top 10 Comments," that one definitely belongs in there--great deadpan delivery (at 3:46)
Is that their advertising catch phrase? “It looks delicious but it’s not”
This nearly brought tears to my eyes, and I thank you so much for uploading this! I'm really hoping at least some of that stuff ends up preserved somewhere.
Not gonna lie, I got a little choked up seeing the old dining room. Made me think about me having my 5th birthday party there, and playing hide and seek in the Sky Tubes. So sad that the kids of today will never get to experience what the 80s/90s kids got to. Because we had alot of fun
This is sad. Can’t imagine what the remodel will look like. The McDonalds restaurants are like cardboard boxes today. The charm has been stripped out of almost everything in modern culture.
That's a bit what I'm afraid of too, because McDonalds in the 90's didn't look that far off from this either with the booth seats, the specific style of framed pictures and tiling. There's so little care and fun put into the construction of a lot of places and they often get bland, so I pray Chuck E. Cheese has something fun here while being modernized.
That's what I hate about modern design and remodels. They strip the fun from everything and make it all bland and boring. It isn't "sleek and modern", it's depressing. What kid wants to play in a big grey box? I feel bad for the youth of today.
@@meisterfrau99 exactly. And the food isn’t good enough to not have any of the charm. They are really stupid. I hope something changes.
@@meisterfrau99 Hell, I feel sad for adults!
We just had a remodel at some of our Chuck-E-Cheeses and I went to one on my birthday a week ago and I was so disappointed that they didn't have the animatronics in there all they have now is just a great big video wall like a 30 ft wide LED video screen and then they have a lighted dance floor and there is absolutely no old school charm left at Chuck e anymore
I still ordered my pizza though and ate it there because I wanted to support the restaurant and I have never been to a Chuck-E-Cheese during one of my birthdays ever growing up but certainly wished I would have but I did eat there growing up
They're taking away everything that made Chuck e cheese what it was all about as far as the themes and all
Petition to have this Chuck E Cheese stay retro!
What bummed me out was when they removed the pizza time theater. It was a dark room and stage. I also remember the underground tunnel below the stage. .
It's not a theater anymore. Sad
That tunnel became a source of nightmares for my dreams as a kid.....Don't know why nothing bad ever happened.
@@yodasmomisondrugs7959 this is what I found. I totally remember the strobe light....
Mr. Munch's Magic Madhouse was a maze underneath the Balcony Stage. The entrances were under Mr. Munch and Pasqually. The tunnels contained strobe lights and other effects. Beginning in the late 1980s, most locations began to seal the entrances because of poor conditions inside the tunnels, which were too small for employees to manage efficiently.
@@blueghost4121 Yeah I remember it being kinda gross in there or "musty" so your info backs up this weird memory I have of a super duper fun place as a kid. Wish I could be a little guy again sometimes and relive those moments for the first time again. So much fun with my little Goonie friends. The 80's rocked!
@@yodasmomisondrugs7959 I was born in 78 so the memories are fuzzy. Which means they started covering the entrances in the late 80s. So I was probably 6yrs old ish
@@blueghost4121 Same it was 86 or 87 the first time I went and the following year I don't remember it being there. Had a friend in grade school who ALWAYS had his birthday at the CC here on Sunrise Blvd here in Sacramento. I think its still open but I haven't been to that part of town for a few years now. Used to be a Showbiz Pizza literally right next to it. Only got to go in there once but it was captivating to me no doubt.
the last time i saw the animatronics play was back around 2004. This brought back memories of how packed it used to get with kids. It feels weird seeing the band play with no kids sitting around to watch
Yeah most kids nowadays are too scared of them and no wonder the ceo said kids stopped looking at them years ago but I think that’s wrong
@@gwenmloveskpopandmoreI slightly blame five nights at Freddy’s for getting so popular. Oh well 🤣
@@asimplepie2279 yeah ig so
@@asimplepie2279 well I actually meant to say little kids lol but yeah
People say that it's the animatronics' fault...I'd blame the damn prices. Before people could afford to take their kids to Chuck E Cheese's because it wasn't ridiculously expensive as it is now. My Mom and I took my 2 little cousins there last June and I kid you not, it was almost $100 dollars for us 2 adults, 2 kids, and only 30 minutes of playtime. If they would make the prices more affordable I know for a fact they would be packed like they were back in the 90s.
I can't believe that place is so unchanged. I only went to Chuck E Cheese on birthdays, so maybe a dozen times growing up? That made it special. My game was Skee-Ball. Thanks for sharing, brings back fond memories!
Ah it hurts 😢💔
You actually care about the brand and not for money?
Hi Arcade craniacs! We are your fans of the characters from Skibidi Toilet movie. Do you have any ideas for this video to watch your show?
@@AlexsStopMotionAdventuresHe cares for himself and the money only. Not his fans at all.
@@DrewTheDisneyManiac I knew the truth, he doesn’t care about Chuck E. Cheese’s, he only cares about milking him and his band until they’re dry.
@@AlexsStopMotionAdventures Yep! I’m going to be honest I met him and his ex girlfriend at Knott’s Berry Farm back in 2019 before COVID hit. I thought they were really nice and stuff then when they were filming a video I saw them making it clickbait and he said oh none of this is true it’s staged and it’s like wow you really screwed up big time. I should of recorded it because then the whole community of The Craniacs would’ve known the truth.
Back in 2020, they closed an old school chuck e cheese near my house in El Monte. They gave away everything. Benches/booths were just sitting outside. Wasnt able to get my hands on anything but maybe they’ll do that with this one.
I doubt it cause a lot of them are just throwing everything away and there’s nothing they can do about it
Mostly getting thrown out now
Thank you so much! My wife can't stop smiling. A lost memory of her teenage years
I remember walking up to the counter with a big ass roll of tickets. Everyone fighting to get to the front of the line. The colorful lights everywhere and sounds. The smell of pizza and quarters.
Did you happen to ask the manager if they were going to be salvaging the old signage? It would be cool if you were able to get your hands on one of those wooden Chuck E. Cheese signs!
This is depressing. Fond memories of having one of my earliest and best birthday's there. Thanks for documenting it brother. The future definitely sucks lol.
So cool to see this! Being 48 years old and growing up in the 80s, we didn't have Chuck E. Cheese's yet where I grew up in West Texas. We had Showbiz Pizza and Pistol Pete's Pizza. Both had the same animatronic shows, pizza and lots of video games. My favorite places as a kid. Thanks for the memories.
It's sad our childhood memories are going away 😢
Yep that’s why I’m gonna try to enjoy my local while I can Pineville
Wow, this really takes me back to simpler times. I can believe I was one of the last generations to see these animatronics live.😭
Never thought in a million years that I'd ever see the animatronics from Chuck E. Cheese's again in my lifetime. My primary thought while watching this video is that someone needs to save every single one in their entirety along with everything else that's on the stage and put it all in a museum. I'm almost tempted to take a long distance road trip and see this place while it's still vintage and then stick around while Chuck E. Cheese's is being gutted. Most of that memorabilia will more than likely end up in a dumpster. Great video!
Nope, employees are told to destroy everything then send it to corporate to make sure its destroyed then they replace it with a cec live stage.
R.I.P. Charles Entertainment Cheese
Thank you so much for filming this and for bringing back so many memories!!! This was actually the EXACT same animatronic stage they used at the Chuck E. Cheese I used to visit all the time as a kid in Webster, Texas. This was during their glory days in the early to mid 90's when these things ruled!!! The only thing missing in this video is the curtains that used to open and close before each show. Such fun times that are now GONE but always remembered in our memory! Seeing that animatronic show in this video took me back to times which were simpler and more innocent. Before we had cell phones and the Internet, we had a real life-like Chuck E. Cheese and his band entertaining us while we jammed tokens into FUN AMAZING arcade games for tickets to get cool quality prizes. I really miss that and sad that this generation of youth will never have it.
I know it sucks that this generation is different I hate it. I had so many good memories at chuck e cheese in the early 2000s but at least a lot of people had good times and enjoyed them their and that's the important thing
i went to this Chuck E Cheese about 3 years ago for a friends childs birthday. the little kiddo wore a turtle neck style shirt and just opened the bottom of his shirt to catch the flying tickets when he was inside that air ticket machine contraption. since it was a turtle neck, nothing escaped once it entered from the bottom of his shirt. he used it like a net catching butterflies. i dont recall how many tickets he caught, but he basically caught every single one that was in there.
Very Smart kid.
It's nice how you could get to see the very last classic original 80s and 90s chuck e cheese great child hood memories before it's gone forever
That was my old Chuck E. Cheese in Reseda. But in the 80s it was dark inside and more arcade than restaurant. Had my birthday there once. I can remember that you could crawl under the stage. I do recall a major renovation making Chuck E. Cheese look bright and airy like in this video. Even though I was only eight or nine, it marked an end of a era losing a lot of it's cool factor.
Do you know Perry Caravello?
yeah dude.. the Pizzatime Theater years, circa 1980-1985
As a 90s kid, I can't tell you how much I resonated with you saying "run away from the future and run to the past." I miss the 90s so much and wish I could go back. Times used to be better.
When I saw the Chuck E Cheese in the title I wasnt sure it would be for me...WOW was I wrong...that brought back so many memories, not just about the restaurant but all the fun times with friends and family over the years! Again THANK YOU Kurt for helping us to remember the best years of our lives! 👻🙏🏼💙
I remember wanting a balloon 😅
Thank you for posting this video. The show room brought back some great memories from the 90s for me.. everything in there was identical to the one I grew up with in Manchester, NH... that Chuck e Cheese still exists to this day but they remodeled many years ago... I wish they would atleast preserve the show room, it's a national treasure
Thank you for making this video! This location was my home location where I personally had a few birthday parties there myself in the mid 1980s-1990s. The stage used to have a crawl space/play area under it for little kids, and there used to be an animatronic of The Warblettes on the top left corner shelf by the stage. It was always a treat to visit in later years and see the spoof posters and retro signage. It would be awesome if those things were kept for museum pieces. I've always wanted one of the spoof posters!
I'm around the same age as you and went to the same location. I think there also might of been some decorative railing or polls above the seats that are against the back wall of the show room. If you still live around the area you might ask them for one of those posters.
Yeah I remember the mouse hole under the stage where kids were able to play. the walls inside were green and it would flash that it would leave your silhouette or shadow imprinted on the walls
Wow I have a memory of this crawlspace too but it was vague and I was never sure if it had been real until I read your comment. I think I went there around 1984. Thank you! :)
Would anybody happen to remember or know if the side room in this video with the kiddie games used to have an animatronic show? Not the main show with Chuck E, Jasper, etc, but other characters? At 5:09, the framing around the Chuck E pop art piece looks like maybe it could've been part of a stage at some point in time.
@@walruslovex3 every room used to have a small show. They ran off tokens hippocampus dollie believe was her name.
That 2 stage really is in decent condition, and it's nice to see that showroom even has the original dim lighting so that the colorful stage lights can stand out. That location definitely has a lot of early and mid 90's stuff from the walls, the posters, the signs, the decorations, and such.
Wow, it's really clean inside. I never went to one as a kid. I once went into one to get some change here in Reno and it looked like a plasma center on the wrong side of town.
Im also from reno i used to love going there as a kid!
I worked at C.E.C when I was in Highschool -92 and 93. I worked at the one where the massacre happened and worked with Nathan Dunlap. This C.E.C had so many similar things as to what ours had - like the little upper level in the showroom. On Saturdays I used to come in early and get the salad bar ready - and it was all fresh salad and cut up veggies and fruits. Not all this bagged crap they have now. This brought back so many memories - good and bad. The booths too - same ones. It's like going back in time! Thank you for filming this!
We still have animatronics in Boardman OH!!! Still performing! My kids love them. We asked if they had any plans of getting rid of them (remodeling) & they said no. So for now, they’re here to stay!🎉
Seeing those animatronics brought back so many memories when I was a kid back in the early nineties. Now that's classic Chuck E cheeses.
I recently went to the gigantic 3 level Chuck E Cheese here in East San Jose, CA for my lil' nephews b day and it was on and crackin'! I'm tellin you this place was absolutely packed lol I was just comin down off a shroom trip too so it was very surreal!! Hate to see that one in Reseda lose the old aesthetic.
3? There 2 😂

Thank you so much for sharing this! Those old animatronics are what make Chuck E Cheese unique. It's too bad they are tearing all this out, it looks much better than the updated restaurants. It would be cool to have it preserved. I know I would travel to see a functioning old school Chuck E Cheese that is also a museum!
Well Smitty’s Super Service in Mississippi is close enough
Thanks for taking me back once more. I still remember the strobe light room under the stage. But yeah, this location has it all.
I remember the strobe too!!! ❤
This game room is updated. I have taken my daughter to the Chuck E Cheese I grew up in a lot in the last 5 years and it looks just like this game room, but holy moly when you walked into the show room!!!! I was instantly transported back in time!!!!
You could always ask them what they're doing with the wall displays, etc., if they're just going to end up in a dumpster they might let you have some before that happens.
CEC has a policy on that anyway and they’re not allowed to sell old stuff

Man, the tiles on the walls, the booth seating, the style of the chairs, the specific style of framed picture? What a throwback to my childhood! We didn't have Chuck E. Cheese here but a lot of fast food locations took plenty of notes from each other for the interior design and boy this feels comforting to look at! I'm also genuinely impressed at how well the animatronics are functioning, despite the drummer/chef having seen better days.
I remember similar place called “Showbiz Pizza”. It, like so many other 80’s places, is long gone. I am surprised chucke cheese is still around.
That pizza chain was also owned by the same company Chuck-E-Cheese they also on another chain to I think someone said Pizza & pipes or something like
I was an east coast, suburban patron of Chuck E Cheese (early-to-mid eighties -- and more early than mid -- hahah) and haven't been in one for decades, but what strikes me the most about this survey is the brightness of this facility. Ours was darkened and sort of carnivalesque in a macabre, early eighties "arcade" kind of way -- so un-brightly lighted. This example seems much "friendlier"/safer, not that I felt consciously concerned back in the day, etc. I very much enjoyed. (I also remember that the room all parents sat in looked like "the lost souls room" from Beetlejuice -- exhausted, miserable adults hunched over booth tables...)
Wow that sounds creepy
I remember being so excited the next day going to chuck n cheese because I would show off the toys to my friends 😂
This one looks just like the Chuck E Cheese in Ventura. It has all of the animatronics, TV, and the stage is the same. So no worries, you can relive your childhood birthday memories up here with us. And all of the characters even work too!

Chuck E. Cheese's was my go to spot for birthday partys when I was a kid.
I loved the pizza and skee ball machines, and half the time I was so occupied with all the activities, I would forget about the birthday cake sitting in the showroom.
Good times you'll never get back.
Every kid's birthday party when I was in kindergarten (1988) was at the Chuck E cheese in Brick NJ. We went to the location in 2006 and nothing changed. That was 17 years ago so who knows what it looks like or if it is even still there?

90s baby here. This was a really emotional watch for me. Very hard on the nostalgia, I started tearing up seeing the retro decor from my childhood memories. Thank you so much for covering this 🙏
Thanks for making this video. It brings back some great memories. I used to work at a chunk e cheese back in the 80s and it takes me back. I used to go into work about an hour early and play free video games until my shift started. Working there was definitely my most favorite job ever. 15 years old, all the food, ice-cream, cake, drinks, and tokens you want. We had pool tables and about 30 arcade games there. @@Canyonradio now there is another Jungle Jim’s in Eastgate. It’s not as big but it’s pretty close to it.
The last time I went into CEC, the only animatronic left was Chuck. The 90’s remodel looked like this, but with that remodel, they got rid of the rooms and just had an open concept floor plan. I remember two rooms in the 80’s and it amazes me that it looked so much bigger as a kid. I don’t know how they fit what they did in there without having more space. They had the showroom and the what was it called? The cabaret room? It had the King in it.
This gives me massive nostalgia!!! I wish they kept it as is! I’m so glad we got to see the animatronic show! Thank you for filming! ❤
It’s very sad to see these guys go. It’s taking the soul out of this great establishment. Shame that as time moves on, so do the things you came to love. Thanks for the video! You’re lucky you’re able to check this out before it’s gone, I can’t find any near me.
I remember this place as a child .... GOOD TIMES!!
just because they are doing a remodel doesn't mean all this stuff is going away. This is the very fabric that made Chuck E Cheese what it is. Unless they are putting something different here they will most likely put it all back. Truthfully I thought all this places were gone forever so thanks for sharing this day with us.
Wait, so is the remodel they’re talking about in the vid not the 2.0 remodel they’ve been doing??
They are putting in something different. A video screen.
This was a great video! I've been to Chuck E Cheese's when I was little! The place in my town use to have that old logo with the mascot. There were no frames there. One of my former co-workers went there with her kids and she said that the animatronics there were removed because people found them creepy. I never did. In fact, my sibling and I used to get on stage with them and I acted like an animatronic. That place in my town has changed a little.
It sucks that the one in yours is getting remodeled! I've never heard any of the songs Chuck E sang. I liked the first one! And the advice from a wise man sounded good. I do want to be happy🙂. By the way, I noticed the Jurassic Park arcade. I played it somewhere else.

@@80sLife By the way, if you didn't know many Chuck E. Cheese locations still have these same animatronics but Northridge is one of the last Pizza Time Theatre decorated locations.
I live in MO and our Chuck E Cheese still looks exactly like this. I haven't heard of any updates in the near future for our location.
Thank you for filming this in preserving a piece of history
I live in Europe and because a lot of countries are smaller than the USA, it’s much easier to remodel restaurants in 1 go. All my childhood McDonald’s restaurants were remodelled in the span of 2 years and I have yet to find an old school one, whether I drive to Germany, France, Belgium, whatever. There’s none left over here. Thank you for documenting all this!
I used to work there around 2008 and the salad bar was pretty fresh. The opening cashier would have to prep the salad bar. We’d have to put away the produce load in the walk in when it came.
Petition to have this Chuck E Cheese stay retro!. The animatronics work surprisingly well! Great video!.
Thank you for the heads up, Kurt. I live down the street and always wanted an excuse to go there. Will they let a 58 year old man dine there alone? Did you get any guff going in there?
lol...They used to have a rule about that. Not sure if it still stands.
@@someguy9778 Thank you sir. I will drag my 20 year old son with me whether he likes it or not! Don't want to be kicked out. Enjoy your day!
I think it depends on your location. I'm an adult and I've never had a problem with going to mine, but it's really up to the individual manager and what their policy is. There's videos on UA-cam of groups of adult guys going to chuck e cheese and having a great time, I'd be surprised if they turned you away.
I'm glad that you were able to come in there because when I tried to film at ours they got on me about it thankfully I was able to sneak a few pictures though
Once again I am jealous of where you grew up. Not that we didn't have Chuck E Cheese in the Vancouver BC area (where I grew up) but I don't remember the ones we had being so bright and decorated so "80's like". Granted I am a bit older than you (when you were learning to skateboard in 1987.......I was 21 😬) and most of my experiences at CEC were from when I would be invited to my nephew"s (who is right around your age from what I can guess) birthday parties (so my brother would have an adult to talk to).
The animatronic band in the one I went to never sang anything original. Just Beatles and Elvis hits.
Thanks for recording this! It's more appealing than the modern restaurant .
The few times I've been to ChuckECheese as a child was for parties so I don't have a huge attachment to Chuck's
I still dislike the animatronics. Creepy.
This was a great video. Made me feel good again. 80s/90s was the best and I miss it dearly
Great memories and fun times I had going to Chuck E Cheese! Another one for the memory books. Thanks Kurt! 👍😁 P.S I wish they would have kept the tokens and not switch to digital cards.
Loved going to chuck e cheese when I was a little kid! The one in my area was remodeled in the late 90s!
That takes me back the one I went to growing up was almost exactly the same they closed down and built a new location around 2014 I think but it still had all the original animatronics and Decorations before it closed
In the early 80s, the walls and ceilings were painted black or very dark colors. I remember the stage, maze, arcade, ball pit, even a strobe light room. Sometime in the late 80s or early 90s, they lightened them up, like the one in the video.
i don't know about the rest of y'all, but i really really hate modern design. it's so boring and lifeless and corporate. I was lucky enough to at least experience some of the good designs from the 90's and 2000s being a mid 2000s baby, but can we bring this back please? it's so much better than what everyone is going towards nowadays!
Exactly. Whoever decided that extreme minimalism and grey everything was the way to go needs to have their head examined. Where's all the fun? The soul?
Thank you for showing this. Memories so awesome. I use to go to chuckie cheeses in the city of Bell. I should visit. Positive song. Love it. ❤️
So sad. Corporations don't realize that not everything needs to be modernized. I'll bet if they had surveyed customers they would have preferred it stay the way that it is right now. I'd love to have one of those posters.. Thanks for the last memory.
in my opinion, they should modernize the games, not the art and animatronics
There's about 16 drive in theaters left in California and two of them are here in Riverside. Van Buren and Rubidoux.
The animatronics are still there, they also added the dance floor and the new art. This is the first Chuck E. Cheese to have this btw
