Mine doesn't shift at hard. You need to put a little bit of spray grease on those shifting linkage cylinders. That will also help them that we're out as quickly. I have to say I prefer a muffler on my tractor. You keep driving tractors like that and someday you're going to be saying "WHAT" to everybody.
Ahhh beautiful iowa scenery corn for miles and tractors with straight pipes got a ol 4010 diesel with a straight pipe them summers at work were fun but lost my hearing doing it lol
Had to be the way the sun was hitting that stack. It started out nice and shiny, on the way back looked like it had turned black half way up. Just a shadow,
Lane zerk The JD dealership explained to me that when you hit the starter it is caused by not enough voltage or something. I'm not exactly sure but they said put a relay on and it's never done it since. A common problem on those tractors they said.
I had a 5020 that I put a straight pipe on !! It would ring underneath that ROPS canopy !! Probably why I have selective hearing now !! Yup ! He dropped it in road gear 8th !!
I figured it was a gas 3020. I've driven a gas one many times...and it has a distinctive sound versus the diesel. It sounds better with the straight pipe though.
You can when you pull out on the road, its just a little awkward, to get to road gear you can start in 6th and pull it into 8th, just a lot to get used to
Had my 1971 3020 working in my garden today. Lots of backing up and turning around in a 100'x100' fenced in space.
I could listen to this all day.
3020 my favorite tractor back in the day... not to big and not to small.... miss those days
a good ol'e country road it just keeps going and going and going andgoing and going
Sounds amazing
Ben Kemp’s

FRANsylvania Maple literally my dad, huh, what 😂
Sound a little like my old Irion Lunger Cummins in my 1959 Peterbilt Very nice tractor very well taken care of!!
Spectacular "John Deere 3020"!!!!. Congratulations!!!👍👏💪💚💛🇺🇸
Heck of a ride!.....I was with you the entire drive. Brought back some good old memories, Thanks!
Awesome!! I have my Kenworth Detroit straight piped and was wondering how this would sound. Now I know and will do the same ;)
...sounds great...I like straight pipes...probably why I'm deaf...
Ahhh beautiful iowa scenery corn for miles and tractors with straight pipes got a ol 4010 diesel with a straight pipe them summers at work were fun but lost my hearing doing it lol
Yeah it sounds cool for parades and videos or tractor pulls but 12 hours of it makes your skull vibrate 😂
Radio on the fender makes me laugh. Like what good is that with a straight pipe?
No doubt, even with a muffler you can barely hear it. I prefer radio headphones.
Can't hear it when ya sit next to it.... but ya can hear it just fine a half mile away...lol.
Our 4020 had the same thing. They are pretty loud and they work if you have a muffler but no way would you hear it with a straight pipe.
I'm assuming that is a factory radio. Our 3010 has one as well.
@@patrickhurley2237 looks to be a Farm Fleet special... we had em' on the 4020 and the 3020 even had one on the 720.. lol.
Thanks, I'm in the process of restoring my Dad's ol diesel 3020...I was going to get a curved top straight pipe for it but not anymore.
Sounds like our 1010 when it had a 6 inch straight pipe
Douglas Oakley yes it really does
I think straight pipes sound aweful at idle, but any rpm above idle sounds good.
I own one of those tractors and the motor is a good motor
Good video! Thank you for sharing! We have a 1969 Synchro that has been restored. What model is yours? They are fine tractors!
Hey dude nice 3020, I got one too and I love it!
Had to be the way the sun was hitting that stack. It started out nice and shiny, on the way back looked like it had turned black half way up. Just a shadow,
Granted the 6 cylinder gas sounds great with a straight pipe I’d opt for a diesel if I were running it day in and day out. Just my two cents.
Ya, we take both the 3020 and 4020 on tractor rides, but the 4020 always beats me on the 3020
How tall is the straight pipe
Nice machines , nice setup
Sounds just like the chitty chitty bang bang car
My 1967 gas 4020 would make the same clicking sounds when i hit the starter. Put a relay on the starter and that goes away.
Thanks

Ok
Классный звук!!!
I have a 3020 myself and I know that the transmission can suck to shift

Sweet. Just out going for a Sunday drive.
Is it gas and what size pipe is it and is it the bigger the pipe the deeper the sound?
mitch Cake it’s a diesel at least it sounds like one
That is definitely not a diesel, we have a 3020 diesel. Thats got to be a gas tractor from how raspy it sounds
Sounds like my stomach while taking a test
Hah, lol
Man just what I wanted to hear all day. No thanks
That sounds awesome
Sweet Sound!!!!
una maravilla
Cool sound!
Honestly I don't think a straight piped John Deere sounds as good as my straight piped Farmall 560
Honestly I dont think a straight pipe farmall sounds as good as my allis wd45
@@jacksongreiner2919 i agree with you
Have you heard a straight piped 40 series Iron Horse?
Here's a link: ua-cam.com/video/iZuzSgrwgPA/v-deo.html

That stack soo nice its sound just dirty eh wonder what its like in person lol probably just loud does the turbo whistle come on strong under load
No turbo whistle because its a gaser
There is no turbo on a 3020 unless it's after market.
I wish I have one of that
how big is the pipe?
is that a 5ft straight pipe?
Max speeed??
Is that a model A I see?
liam barton yep
+Lane zerk cool, and yeah, my fordson major 6cyl convert starter also does that, but that's a bad electrical connection
I like the looks of that pipe on the A. Got one muself5

The 3020 is gas. but it sounds pretty cool with a straight on.
I figured it was a gas 3020. I've driven a gas one many times...and it has a distinctive sound versus the diesel. It sounds better with the straight pipe though.

Sounds like my 62 1010
C-360 go zjada na śniadanie
no power shifting that thing is my guess lol
You can when you pull out on the road, its just a little awkward, to get to road gear you can start in 6th and pull it into 8th, just a lot to get used to
