I have heart failure and have mistaken my symptoms for chf exacerbation when it's been pneumonia. My EF is 35% with Left ventricular hypertrophy. My last echo has shown ventricular dysynchrony from a positional lead with my biventricular pacemaker. I am 100% dependent upon my pacer because my underlying rhythm is complete heart block and have damaged aortic, mitral and atrial valve damage. The thing is, Ive had CHF since my late teens from rheumatic fever that went untreated. I was fortunate to have had 35 years of well managed care. These days are harder. More episodes and longer stretches of time to get over exacerbations. I got diagnosed with congestive heart failure after taking medication for pain from a car accident 7 years ago.I do not have any symptoms like these. They found mine 7 years after I kept going to doctor every month because of weird symotoms... I do have trouble sleeping that's it. I had very high blood pressure too. Finally they did a ECG and I had to do it three times.i did get anxiety as well.

I am doing good since I've been on the meds. Feeling grateful for that. I suffered along time before they found this. I was down to 33% heart function. A few weeks later went back for a check up, and was told the heart had returned to it's erratic beat , and further treatement was required. 18 months later, still waiting for that second treatment. I now cycle a lot, and push the heart hard on the hills, and finding I'm feeling best I have in a long time. Might just stick with my personalised treatment...😁😁😁

I periodically have ALL of these symptoms, yet the diagnosis is Atypical COPD. The fluid in my lungs is easily heard during the day by just me breathing. Then I cough and get rid of some fluid and it won't be heard for a few minutes then back at it. The fluid sounds and crackling are always heard with stethoscope. Different heart tests have shown different results from part of my heart working too slow to normal depending on the day. Heart rate is usually high and blood pressure as well although I am on two different medications for blood pressure. I don't bother my Dr. with any of it anymore. I have a diagnosis . . . COPD. . . not the typical progression of it but. . . In the end one thing or another is going to get me so it just doesn't matter much to me anymore. I am on oxygen at night and sometimes during the day if I get too low.

anxiety medicines suppressed my heart attack symptoms. Two or three years down the line , i came to know that i had a heart attack. So don't believe your doctors when they say it is just panic attack. You need to meet cardiologist and get the tests done.
My Mom is experiencing this. This is her second time in the hospital in one week. She has asthma and has had heart surgery. They believe her breathing problems are heart related. It's very scary.. I'm afraid to tell her that I know.

If one has edema, both ankles, but that's the only symptom, could that still be heart failure? Everything else is perfect: Blood pressure excellent, beats per minute nearly that of an athlete, no shortness of breath, no trouble during sleep and can exercise for 3 to 4 hours no problem. Never tired either.
@@barbrn 90% raw food vegan. I never eat anything from a can or a box or a container. Whole food plant based pretty much 100%. I do add some salt to some food that I cook but it's not much since only 10% of what I eat is cooked.

Arteries and veins are on both sides of the body connected by the capillaries. Arteries carry oxygen-rich blood AWAY from the heart except for the pulmonary artery, which goes from the right ventricle to the lungs. Veins carry unoxygenated blood back to the right atrium. Always work with your doctor. Heart failure gets worse with time if not managed well.

Could be too much sodium in diet. Water retention causes swelling like that.
