We would go over the luxury tax threshold where we lose 10 draft spots and signing bonus. If we lose another Frontline starter, our season is toast. It's time to see what we have in AJ, Schwellenbach, Ian and Elder.
Max Fried stays injured so I wouldn't rely on him. His postseason numbers are terrible & thinking he can come back for the playoffs and have a huge impact is somethings he's yet to do with the Braves & unlikely. If I were the Braves & had a team interested in him id trade him because he's going to walk at the end of the season anyway but his injury hurts his value so who knows. If I had to bet they will be trading for a started because they just called up a top prospect Nacho Alvarez Jr. to replace Ozzie.
If we go after anybody from the White Sox, MIKE SOROKA BETTER be in the Negotiations. He Deserves Better than *ROTTING* on the Southside with an 0-10 Record an ERA over 5. I hated the Trade for Bummer for *HIM SPECIFICALLY.* Bring him home, AA!
Why trade for a guy like Fedde, when you already have a guy like Fedde? Fedde's 3.53 FIP and 3.84 xFIP is similar to Schwallenbach's 3.43 FIP and 3.86 xFIP who's already pitching in that spot in the rotation. So getting someone like Fedde gives you a guy with less control at a higher price in that 5th spot, that doesn't really make sense. If you want to talk about getting Fedde after the season to fill in for someone else that may be lost in the rotation, that might be a different story. Braves have Anderson, Ynoa, Elder, Waldrep, and Smith-Shawver as depth. Also remember Strider will be back next year, so the Braves wouldn't need 2 guys if they lost both Fried and Morton, as Strider fills one of those spots.
@@JohnOakley-nc7pg ha! We don’t disagree brother. I’ve been preaching starting pitching all year. But, the Braves have been in connection with nothing but OF so far. That’s why I think we should look at Fedde. Check out this video from 2 months ago. The Atlanta Braves should consider trading for Erick Fedde ua-cam.com/video/rt-ASZhtffU/v-deo.html
Arozarena is the best, most cost effective option, if he’s available. Jazz, perhaps too much, Louis Robert would be too much prospect. Would not part with Baldwin, Nacho.
I feel ya on Arozarena, I'm for whatever reason not a Jazz guy... he's just not the pick up he's kinda being portrayed by many...Full disclosure While I played a little upper level ball long ago...lol...my main reason for Randy is (since I make my side money in Baseball cards, I have one of his higher end RC's and I know if he came to Atlanta, it'd go up, with no doubt. So yeah a little self serving on that one...For the record I never sell or part with my Braves Cards (the minute Acuna went down again, I waited a bit for prices to fall because people are like that, and picked up another RC of his, last time he went down, he returned to grab an MVP) just some thoughts...in all honesty, if our guys just end up hitting like they're capable, all this will be irrelevant. I think casual fans may not totally grasp that we lost a projected Cy Young winner, last year's MVP, then Harris (who was a Rookie of the year)...AND WE'RE STILL 4TH in the NL standings and easily will at least make the post season...I get irritated hearing other teams talk about "injuries", no team has lost close to what we have, and we still haven't played our best with who we have...yet I repeat, we're still where we are in the standings....to me that's more of a statement about just how great the team really is...ps good show & as always.... Go Braves⚾🔥💯
@@Jackson09 yeah, Jazz is exciting, but would likely cost too much prospect based on what I seeing online. Speed, athleticism does not slump, injuries aside, is why I like him. Though, he may turn us into the bad guys with his antics, lol. Also, don’t like his general batting average, not really a good leadoff option (swings for the fences, every time), though as they say, could be better in better lineup and winning like Braves. Overall, Arozarena, being a right as well, suits us better. He a pro and well liked, with his positive antics 😊. Unrelated: Matt Olson just killing me smalls, lol. We still must watch Kelenic closely, into next year. Still has more to prove, IMO, hence Arozarena for now and down the road. Unrelated: Nacho please AA, give him a shot. Arcia is a backup, period.
What is everyone’s obsession with Pham to the Braves. They don’t want his shi*** attitude. AA brought it up in the clubhouse last year and it got shut down
Tommy Pham is no solution. There's a reason why he was never offered a contract by any upper echelon team, especially after the solid season and postseason he had last year, but yet had to take a lowball offer from a last place team.
What about Gavin sheets could we get him?

Nah. Imo **2** starting pitchers with strike outs and control over velocity
And 3 dudes who can hit the ball into play
How bad is Fried's injury?

No no no to Pham! Same reason I am not high on Jazz!
I agree with you 100% Julie
Gavin sheets
Kelenic and Pham in the same clubhouse both have tempers big no no in my eyes!
Anyone is better than Mendoza Row(Duvall, Rosario,Arcia)

F--ck Pham...Roberts? It'd be nice.

Our pitching is not the biggest problem we have . We someone that can hit and get on base.. can't win if you can't score.. we don't need Pham
Well with Max Fried being injured our pitching is the problem now. With Fried's injury record I had a feeling this would happen.
Totally disagree, we need pitching more, this will be our downfall without fixing!

Pham's bad attitude makes him a bad choice

On pace to lose more games than the 1962 Mets. Go Sox!
Tommy Pham has anger issues pass on him

We just need to get Jazz and win out
While the Sox's may be on a fire sale. My concern is the charactors of their said players on the trading block and if they will fit for us?
I think Pham is the only real concern. The other two haven't given me any real sign of being a problem child.
