Personally I think her being characterised as "Nightwing's girlfriend" is her biggest problem. I do absolutely love Nightwing and Starfire together, but I wish some people would see her as more than a love interest character who can only date Nightwing.

That's the issue unlike Barbara and Dick they never allowed Starfire to attempt a serious relationship outside of Nightwing. With the new 52 it would just be sex but not love. In many ways Starfire is acclimated to much of Earth culture and not displaying her own people's to which she once told Nightwing that her people's culture is to express love with many people and sometimes it does lead to being intimate with them. But now Starfire is set on one person only, (Nightwing), who has told her to her face that she is not the one who is his true love.

If I'm being honest, my favourite take on star fire is the one in the DC Animated movie universe. In this universe she has actually developed and grown to the leader of the teen titans. I really enjoy her in these films as she's taking on the next generation of the titans. She's developed into this mother like figure and it really works for her. Also her relationship with Nightwing in this universe is actually healthy.
Kori is a great contender for a Sapphire ring. I think it could subvert her as a "love interest" character. I think her connection to love is actually her empathy and compassion, and love for earth and other planets. She is a very positive character, and I think that she would be a great paragon for the Zamarons. As I've said, I see her as being from a combined Zamaron/Tamaran planet.
That idea of Kori being part of a trinity-esque group is interesting, especially if she's supposed to mirror Superman. I personally think she brings a feel similar to Wonder Woman, and that could be a nice pitch of making these members match one member of the trinity in powers/mechanics and another in personality/mentality. Then we could have Nightwing having abilities similar to Batman in abilities but Superman in morality, Starfire being the "Superman" of the team but behaving like WW's way of thinking and a fighter/warrior like WW that is morally inclined to Batman
DC should make a Cosmic Justice League team which would include characters like Starfire, Martian Manhunter, Miss Martian, a Green Lantern, Superman to get people invested and other space based heroes/anti-heroes like Lobo with the premise of dealing with threats before they arrive to Earth.
There was Justice League Omega for a brief bit, where Starfire, Cyborg, Jessica Cruz Green Lantern, and Azrael (for some reason?) went on a mission in space and had to team up with a weakened Darkseid.
what they need to do is bring back her space arcs that she was doing in the 2000s that's why i liked justice league oddyssey as much as i enjoy her with the titans ,in their current incarnation they're better split up in other teams or solos only having titans as a "safety" net or if a writer has a really good idea for a roster other than that i do wish starfire was utilized more than romance drama for nightwing in current pop culture, i love them together but seriously can we get her a cool love interest that doesnt die or get dropped after 5 seconds?? Starfire's origin involves her being enslaved by the Citadel. One story arc in Wonder Woman, had her liberate a group of alien women from the Shangtee Empire and the women became Space Pirate Revolutionaries who never really appeared that much. My idea is what if it was retconned that Starfire rescued them, and they fought against the Citadel and the Gordanians.
2 things to say. 1. I agree that Starfire would have a difficult time to get her some recognition due to DC's pup and dump of Batman, superman, wonder woman, harley Quinn or even suicide squad content. 2. I dislike it when characters are classified as "one of the most powerful characters" but how many characters are considered "most powerful" so idk where she or even other characters who are to be most powerful it's like a spectrum that isn't defined.
See I don't know if starfire would have a difficult time. Teen titans is very popular and will always be a classic and she's a main character in it. It's not like she's unknown I'd say to the general public she's even more known then the likes of Martian manhunter or booster gold

Static shock is a popular character/show but DC won't give him another animated series/movie. Wonder woman still doesn't have her own animated series but yet Harley quinn gets her own show, meanwhile Batman and superman keeps getting new series back to back.
@@Achieme it's hard for Wonder Woman to have her own animated show when her enemies aren't that popular. None can compare to Lex, Joker, Brainiac, Darkside, Ras Al Ghul, and Baine. I would have said that Cheetah being thought of as her true rival could be the closest thing but with what they just did with her and Wonder Woman, now they can't even be called true enemies anymore. In the current Wonder Woman comics it's implied that her enemy is the systems of societies that she may consider flawed. Right now the United States of America is her enemy. So her show would have to be political in nature.
@@DCis1 the problem with that argument is that they can literally create new characters and revamp established characters. Harley Quinn and Mr.freeze are prime examples, Hell even punchline. DC makes new characters all the time so why would it be an issue. Besides DC has taken lesser known characters and made them popular like the suicide squad for example.
The best way to combat #1 would probably be having an A-list Titans or TT team with Star on it, and then give her a solo comic during or IMMEDIATELY after it's run.
DC needs a more popular and dedicated cosmic or space team. Similar to Firefly or Guardians of the Galaxy. Justice League already got a magic team with Dark but the League proper feels like a Jack of all Trades team. The Lantern Corps are ok but like the Nova Corps are impersonal to the woes of the galaxy. They’re space cops involved mostly in big conflicts. A smaller crew is better suited for street or small conflicts in space. Starfire and Supergirl heading a Space Team would be cool. Maybe even the progenitor team for the Legion of Superheroes in the future.

My hot take on starfire is that she's sexualized to much to the point where its plan annoying like i get that she wears more revealing outfits because of her culture and the sun but there are many ways you can put a girl in a revealing outfit and not make it sexual (btw i am aware that they toned down starfire a bit which is good but i haven't been keeping up with modern comics so i could be wrong) i also don't like how she has straight hair now but i think it can look good sometimes but anyways
Y'know what's funny about so many of these takes? They've already been done in the comics. She's been on the Justice League, she's had focused arcs where she was off planet and worked with other cosmic characters, she's been a mentor/leader to newer & younger Titans... She's been happily married to someone who wasn't Dick Grayson (shoutout to General Phyzonn). Post Crisis DC actually did a lot of interesting things with her character. Thank the New 52 for all of that getting erased lmao
I think that is a huge problem with DC continously rebooting their main or "canon" timeline. There's so much these characters go through which ends up getting lost in time because it was the old "canon" which isn't completely accurate to who the character is now. It's a big reason why I find it hard to be entertained by the canon continuities.

As someone who doesn’t read the comics I find very amusing seeing those shots of starfire and Superman interacting and her having a natural distaste towards him do to as Superman put it “alien politics” 😂
I also think more than anyone Superman or at least Supergirl should be interacting with Starfire. I cant recall ANY piece of comic source that those two have interacted with her. (Outside of that new 52 panel)
Like I know this isn’t a hot take (or maybe it is?) but I have always had this idea for how I’d introduce Starfire and Tammeran in a DC movie, I’m currently writing this out and my story is a Superman sequel called Superman: Prisoner of War. So Superman ends up a prisoner on a red sun planet and he has to break out with the help of other prisoners, Uxus (A disgraced prince now a slave by his own family), BlackFire (She sold out her own people to Queen Heggra, the main villain. But ended up being double crossed and imprisoned herself), Starfire (Trying to understand what’s happened and how her home has fallen unaware of her sister’s treachery), Lobo (The main man was imprisoned for an assassination attempt on Heggra), and J’onn J’onzz (his species the martians attempted to fight Heggra’s forces but were wiped out due to her union with The White Martians). But Superman, Uxus, and Starfire would basically be our main protagonists for the film.
In order to get a really good Starfire story, DC would have to develop its comic stage a lot more. It's a shame that they focus almost exclusively on the Lantern Corps or Apokalips, because there are entities that could play a much bigger role in the cosmos - Raan, New Genesis (outside of just being Anti-Darkseid), Colu, Warworld, the Reach; and if we were to add the stuff from Wildstorm and Milestone; the Daemonites, Kherubim, and the Cooperative.
Once again the resident marvel subscriber is tuning lol. First, Starfire vs. Captain Marvel, unfortunately I can’t answer that as I don’t know enough about comic Starfire only her adaptations and that’s not a fair basis, plus Captain Marvel’s powers gets a soft reanalysis in every-other book (not like they’re changed but moreso it seems like every author wants to place a unique spin on what is a very standard powerset). Second, because of ‘03 Titans I am a huge shipper of Nightwing and Starfire, it just has this very “opposites attract” vibe from name, to color scheme, to origin story, to even the little bits I do know of their more core defining traits. In my mind Nightwing & Starfire works because both Starfire as a character and the pairing itself make for a nice foil to some Batfamily clichés. Third, this video highlighted how Starfire is very nonsubtle yet still subtle patische of Wonder Woman - Princess of a different species who adapts man’s world as her home, has a lifetime of combat training and vast knowledge, main love interests is a mortal man who’s familiar with the worlds evils etc. And for the last thing I want to add on, you were cooking with the Lantern Corp comment. As the Green Lantern/Lantern Corps mythos is one of the few aspects of DC that I know extensively, when you brought it up I was immediately brought back to the body swap episode of Titans where Starfire tells Raven that her species harnesses their powers by tapping into and letting their emotions flow. Even TTG has an episode or two where the joke is the all nice/soft girl finally snaps and can’t hold her anger back but weirdly enough, I never felt that that was wrong for Starfire as a character and this video kinda helped me makes sense of why. From the little I know about Starfire she’s a character that’s unapologetically herself, she feels, she has questions, etc. even as a kid waching the ‘03 cartoon and comparing her to her teammates or superheroes from other cartoons. Starfire always stuck out to me because narratively she’s allowed to be more than even human heroes are allowed to be (Batman, Robin, Iron Man, Hank Pym Ant-man, etc)
Starfire, Nightwing and Conor remind me of Trinity TNG. It would be nice if they had their own movie/show, but DC/WB can't seem to get the original Trinity right, to even start to consider stories for The Next Generation. 😒
As much as I love the 2003 Titans cartoon, I feel like it ruined people’s perception of Starfire. She isn’t some ditzy foreign exchange girl, she’s a Warrior Princess. Kory should be written more like Wonder Woman from Space instead of Nadia from American Pie.
Yeah, that's what sucks. While I'm not sold on the warrior aspect (gentle/"nice" characters are underrated in favor of edgy ones), I hated how they made her embody the "funny foreigner" trope.

Yeah, I never liked Nightwing because of how he was in the comics I read where he acted like an edgy jerk all the time, it very much poisoned my perception of the character, and I couldn’t stand him in Btas. I also could never find him all that interesting, like compared to any other Robin I would rather see more of the others any day. (No offense attended if anyone here is a Nightwing fan, this is just my personal opinion)

I think a Starfire comic should bring in elements from the Teen Titans 2003 series. Maybe re-introduce Val-Yor from the Troq episode as an antagonist (not villain) and rival, maybe introduce more of his species.

Outlaws was some of the worst character assassination, I have ever seen. I think both Star and Babs suffer from being Nightwings GF. Though its a bit different Babs suffers when she is dating Dick. Whereas Star suffers when she is not. Cause Babs gets to date other people besides Dick whereas Kori really doesn't. It doesn't help that the core titans are so close dating outside of established pairs is just awkward.
Maybe this is just my interpretation but I don’t think she ever came across as stupid in the 2003 version of teen titans. More ignorant of earth cultures than anything. You have to remember there’s a big difference between being dumb and being ignorant. I mean literally the first thing we see StarFire talk about in the 2003 anime is how she apparently understood insanely advanced forms of machinery, and this knowledge that she has, both from being an advanced alien race’s Princess and just her own gifted intellect means that she might even be partially responsible for how advanced the Titans tech is. I only wish they leaned into that aspect of her more, but it is definitely there.
Ehh I'd argue raven is much more popular than starfire and that's purely looking at heroes and not counting batmans most famous female rogues/anti heroes like catwoman, harley, and poison ivy

I don't think Starfire should be a main member of the Justice League. I think too many people view the Titans in general as characters destined to be in the Justice League, despite the fact that DC has so many other teams and locations that could be explored. To me, keeping her on Earth has been one of the major missteps with the character. You have this alien warrior princess from a planet whose people are very much still alive and likely could benefit from having someone like Kori as their ruler. I think Starfire would do great as a primarily space based hero, having her own adventures in space fighting space based villains while also teaming up with space centered characters like Adam Strange, Maxima, The Omega Men, L.E.G.I.O.N., The Green Lantern Corps, etc. Since she is such a popular character, it could also help increase the visibility of some lesser known space based characters. I don't think she should become a lantern or anything just because I think she is perfect capable on her own without needing the help of a ring that can do anything the plo-I mean, the person wills it to do. I also don't have a problem with her seeming mischaracterization in the 2003 Teen Titans show. While it removed her warrior nature, it pretty much stayed true to all her other character traits, it just made them more exaggerated. Sure, she isn't complete unknowing to the ways of Earth in the comics, she was still essentially a foreign girl in a land unfamiliar to her that she had to actively learn how to live in, the show just exaggerated that because it is, at its core, a kids show for kids and having characters be very exaggerated allows kids to more easily understand who these characters are.

My take is that Starfire needs to go back to wearing revealing outfits such as her 1980s one by George Perez. A big part of Starfire and Tamaraneans as a whole is that they are very liberated and open. Her revealing outfit in the 1980s was a testament to this and they need to bring it back.
I believe the reason for the revealing outfits was because Starfire, like the Kryptonians, need to absorb sun light through her skin for her powers to charge up. So she would expose as much skin as possible.

After all the cheating and disrespect Dick Grayson's put Starfire through I kinda want her to cuss him out in Tamaranean. Beacuse Dick is living up to the name, and he's certainly a total clorbag varblernelk. In a messed up way I still want them together, however only on the condition that none of the cheating happened and they both try their best to respect, listen to, and understand each other.
First you do know the starfire may be part of the new justice league series being made and as of my opinion she should be in space joining groups like the omega men she had a brother that was apart of that rebel group, it's unknown what happened to him (I think he was killed in that old series) or put her back into her own series where she's stranded on another planet where she helps a group of slaves fight for their freedom with her powers being taken away and have her being based on the original starfire from 1976 an old DC comics series.
Wow, I like this idea/thought of making Starfire a White Lantern. Personally, I like Star's character. But got bored of her and Nightwing being a couple. Or at least of them being a couple is all Starfire has going for her. I'm reading the Titans (2023) comics and I think these two aren't a couple in that run, and I like it that way.

Every time Starfire is in a relationship with Nightwing she is reduced to Nightwing’s love interest. She is a character who has been fighting for agency her whole life, and she deserves for some focus on her own motivations. I think independence is so good for her. I think they have done so much in recent years to prove that Starfire would make an excellent leader if given the chance more often. I think she has potential to be friendly with so many more characters from different areas of the DC universe than she is. She is empathetic and passionate but never backs down from a fight. She is so interesting and I’m so tired of her being in Nightwing’s shadow. I also like that they’ve been working on developing her friendship with Oracle. The rivalry between them- fighting over a boy like they’re not grown adults-is old. Also, for the record, I know we all love shitting on Titans, but her adaptation isn’t nearly as bad as everyone makes it out to be. I like how they emphasize her independence and her willingness to fight, while also portraying her nurturing leadership qualities without coming off motherly.

I agree with you to some extent, but people instantly know who Starfire is, although sometimes it’s not for the best reasons such as (being Nightwing’s love interest) her unique appearance is what is instantly recognized about Starfire.
I don't remember the exact issue but Dick snuck out on Starfire and slept with Barbara soon after she was paralyzed. "Do you read comics?" You and anyone else who regurgitates this question really needs to come up with new lines or material. Stafire's age hasn't clearly been identified throughout her history. Tamaranians also age much differently then humans as well. Artist Jonboy Meyers a couple of years ago claimed she was 18 in New Earth and then possibly 20-23 in New 52. He then confirmed she was 18 again in Rebirth. Being aged up isn't just for her but its' for other Teen Titans. "Aged up" is not just specifically used in terms of her age but it's for relativity to the rest of the DC universe, to expand from just being a Teen Titan in which many of these characters are left and forgotten about. Much of her mainstream popularity has been regulated to the Teen Tians only and her true significance offers much more than that.

I don’t know if this is a unpopular opinion or hot take but I don't think she looks black. I kinda think the Anna Diop casting for her kind of pushed this narrative, even though I dont think that was the intention in her design at all. Her father looks like a freaking Viking. The argument for why a black person can play her could simply be... she's not real and therefore any woman can play her. Outlaws Starfire looks dope, and I think the fact that people only use 1 issue to call that version of her terrible shows how many people that criticize it didn't actually read it to get a full scope of the character. Her and Beast Boy.... I can legit see it. Both very openly emotional characters with great fashion sense and large personalities.
I can understand both sides of this argument. My personal opinion is; it really depends on the writing, if I was going to write Lois I’d probably update the character to be something different than a reporter, like not stray too far but maybe change up the career, like a conspiracy theorist or a magazine writer for the uncanny like cryptids and stuff like Bigfoot, and The Loch Ness Monster, it could make for some fun stories of her trying to uncover the truth of Superman! Not to mention get us new settings to put the character in, like imagine a team up with The Question! 😂 As for versions of Lois that exist right now that I like? I’ll admit all the comic ones kinda blend together after a while, and the only ones I think of fondly are “My Adventures with Superman” and “Superman The Animated Series”.

They had a small scuffle when wonder woman didn't even want to fight her, so I'm not sure if you are even counting that,I don't.

That idea of Kori being part of a trinity-esque group is interesting, especially if she's supposed to mirror Superman. I personally think she brings a feel similar to Wonder Woman, and that could be a nice pitch of making these members match one member of the trinity in powers/mechanics and another in personality/mentality. Then we could have Nightwing having abilities similar to Batman in abilities but Superman in morality, Starfire being the "Superman" of the team but behaving like WW's way of thinking and a fighter/warrior like WW that is morally inclined to Batman

Starfire is my absolute favorite character in the DC Universe, she definitely needs to get spotlight outside of the Titans
Starfire's origin involves her being enslaved by the Citadel. One story arc in Wonder Woman, had her liberate a group of alien women from the Shangtee Empire and the women became Space Pirate Revolutionaries who never really appeared that much. My idea is what if it was retconned that Starfire rescued them, and they fought against the Citadel and the Gordanians.
2 things to say.
1. I agree that Starfire would have a difficult time to get her some recognition due to DC's pup and dump of Batman, superman, wonder woman, harley Quinn or even suicide squad content.
2. I dislike it when characters are classified as "one of the most powerful characters" but how many characters are considered "most powerful" so idk where she or even other characters who are to be most powerful it's like a spectrum that isn't defined.

Static shock is a popular character/show but DC won't give him another animated series/movie. Wonder woman still doesn't have her own animated series but yet Harley quinn gets her own show, meanwhile Batman and superman keeps getting new series back to back.

I would have said that Cheetah being thought of as her true rival could be the closest thing but with what they just did with her and Wonder Woman, now they can't even be called true enemies anymore.
In the current Wonder Woman comics it's implied that her enemy is the systems of societies that she may consider flawed. Right now the United States of America is her enemy. So her show would have to be political in nature.

The best way to combat #1 would probably be having an A-list Titans or TT team with Star on it, and then give her a solo comic during or IMMEDIATELY after it's run.
DC needs a more popular and dedicated cosmic or space team. Similar to Firefly or Guardians of the Galaxy.
Justice League already got a magic team with Dark but the League proper feels like a Jack of all Trades team.
The Lantern Corps are ok but like the Nova Corps are impersonal to the woes of the galaxy. They’re space cops involved mostly in big conflicts. A smaller crew is better suited for street or small conflicts in space.
Starfire and Supergirl heading a Space Team would be cool. Maybe even the progenitor team for the Legion of Superheroes in the future.

Y'know what's funny about so many of these takes? They've already been done in the comics. She's been on the Justice League, she's had focused arcs where she was off planet and worked with other cosmic characters, she's been a mentor/leader to newer & younger Titans... She's been happily married to someone who wasn't Dick Grayson (shoutout to General Phyzonn). Post Crisis DC actually did a lot of interesting things with her character. I think that is a huge problem with DC continously rebooting their main or "canon" timeline. There's so much these characters go through which ends up getting lost in time because it was the old "canon" which isn't completely accurate to who the character is now. It's a big reason why I find it hard to be entertained by the canon continuities.

Characters are rarely allowed to grow permanently. A striking example is how writers always revert Peter Parker to a broke, struggling guy every time we get progress.

Like I know this isn’t a hot take (or maybe it is?) but I have always had this idea for how I’d introduce Starfire and Tammeran in a DC movie, I’m currently writing this out and my story is a Superman sequel called Superman: Prisoner of War. So Superman ends up a prisoner on a red sun planet and he has to break out with the help of other prisoners, Uxus (A disgraced prince now a slave by his own family), BlackFire (She sold out her own people to Queen Heggra, the main villain. But ended up being double crossed and imprisoned herself), Starfire (Trying to understand what’s happened and how her home has fallen unaware of her sister’s treachery), Lobo (The main man was imprisoned for an assassination attempt on Heggra), and J’onn J’onzz (his species the martians attempted to fight Heggra’s forces but were wiped out due to her union with The White Martians). But Superman, Uxus, and Starfire would basically be our main protagonists for the film.

In order to get a really good Starfire story, DC would have to develop its comic stage a lot more. It's a shame that they focus almost exclusively on the Lantern Corps or Apokalips, because there are entities that could play a much bigger role in the cosmos - Raan, New Genesis (outside of just being Anti-Darkseid), Colu, Warworld, the Reach; and if we were to add the stuff from Wildstorm and Milestone; the Daemonites, Kherubim, and the Cooperative.
Once again the resident marvel subscriber is tuning lol. First, Starfire vs. Captain Marvel, unfortunately I can’t answer that as I don’t know enough about comic Starfire only her adaptations and that’s not a fair basis, plus Captain Marvel’s powers gets a soft reanalysis in every-other book (not like they’re changed but moreso it seems like every author wants to place a unique spin on what is a very standard powerset). Second, because of ‘03 Titans I am a huge shipper of Nightwing and Starfire, it just has this very “opposites attract” vibe from name, to color scheme, to origin story, to even the little bits I do know of their more core defining traits. In my mind Nightwing & Starfire works because both Starfire as a character and the pairing itself make for a nice foil to some Batfamily clichés. Third, this video highlighted how Starfire is very nonsubtle yet still subtle patische of Wonder Woman - Princess of a different species who adapts man’s world as her home, has a lifetime of combat training and vast knowledge, main love interests is a mortal man who’s familiar with the worlds evils etc. And for the last thing I want to add on, you were cooking with the Lantern Corp comment. As the Green Lantern/Lantern Corps mythos is one of the few aspects of DC that I know extensively, when you brought it up I was immediately brought back to the body swap episode of Titans where Starfire tells Raven that her species harnesses their powers by tapping into and letting their emotions flow. Even TTG has an episode or two where the joke is the all nice/soft girl finally snaps and can’t hold her anger back but weirdly enough, I never felt that that was wrong for Starfire as a character and this video kinda helped me makes sense of why. From the little I know about Starfire she’s a character that’s unapologetically herself, she feels, she has questions, etc. even as a kid waching the ‘03 cartoon and comparing her to her teammates or superheroes from other cartoons. Starfire always stuck out to me because narratively she’s allowed to be more than even human heroes are allowed to be (Batman, Robin, Iron Man, Hank Pym Ant-man, etc)
Starfire, Nightwing and Conor remind me of Trinity TNG. It would be nice if they had their own movie/show, but DC/WB can't seem to get the original Trinity right, to even start to consider stories for The Next Generation. 😒
As much as I love the 2003 Titans cartoon, I feel like it ruined people’s perception of Starfire. She isn’t some ditzy foreign exchange girl, she’s a Warrior Princess. Kory should be written more like Wonder Woman from Space instead of Nadia from American Pie.
Yeah, that's what sucks. While I'm not sold on the warrior aspect (gentle/"nice" characters are underrated in favor of edgy ones), I hated how they made her embody the "funny foreigner" trope.

Yeah, I never liked Nightwing because of how he was in the comics I read where he acted like an edgy jerk all the time, it very much poisoned my perception of the character, and I couldn’t stand him in Btas. I also could never find him all that interesting, like compared to any other Robin I would rather see more of the others any day. I think both Star and Babs suffer from being Nightwings GF. Though its a bit different Babs suffers when she is dating Dick. Whereas Star suffers when she is not. Cause Babs gets to date other people besides Dick whereas Kori really doesn't. It doesn't help that the core titans are so close dating outside of established pairs is just awkward.
Maybe this is just my interpretation but I don’t think she ever came across as stupid in the 2003 version of teen titans. More ignorant of earth cultures than anything. You have to remember there’s a big difference between being dumb and being ignorant.
I mean literally the first thing we see StarFire talk about in the 2003 anime is how she apparently understood insanely advanced forms of machinery, and this knowledge that she has, both from being an advanced alien race’s Princess and just her own gifted intellect means that she might even be partially responsible for how advanced the Titans tech is. I only wish they leaned into that aspect of her more, but it is definitely there.

I don't think Starfire should be a main member of the Justice League. I think too many people view the Titans in general as characters destined to be in the Justice League, despite the fact that DC has so many other teams and locations that could be explored. To me, keeping her on Earth has been one of the major missteps with the character. You have this alien warrior princess from a planet whose people are very much still alive and likely could benefit from having someone like Kori as their ruler. I think Starfire would do great as a primarily space based hero, having her own adventures in space fighting space based villains while also teaming up with space centered characters like Adam Strange, Maxima, The Omega Men, L.E.G.I.O.N., The Green Lantern Corps, etc. Since she is such a popular character, it could also help increase the visibility of some lesser known space based characters. I don't think she should become a lantern or anything just because I think she is perfect capable on her own without needing the help of a ring that can do anything the plo-I mean, the person wills it to do.
I also don't have a problem with her seeming mischaracterization in the 2003 Teen Titans show. While it removed her warrior nature, it pretty much stayed true to all her other character traits, it just made them more exaggerated. Sure, she isn't complete unknowing to the ways of Earth in the comics, she was still essentially a foreign girl in a land unfamiliar to her that she had to actively learn how to live in, the show just exaggerated that because it is, at its core, a kids show for kids and having characters be very exaggerated allows kids to more easily understand who these characters are.
Maxima is about the only non kryptonian alien I could think about being with Superman. Not really that many to choose from

My take is that Starfire needs to go back to wearing revealing outfits such as her 1980s one by George Perez. A big part of Starfire and Tamaraneans as a whole is that they are very liberated and open. Her revealing outfit in the 1980s was a testament to this and they need to bring it back.
I believe the reason for the revealing outfits was because Starfire, like the Kryptonians, need to absorb sun light through her skin for her powers to charge up. So she would expose as much skin as possible.

After all the cheating and disrespect Dick Grayson's put Starfire through I kinda want her to cuss him out in Tamaranean. Beacuse Dick is living up to the name, and he's certainly a total clorbag varblernelk. In a messed up way I still want them together, however only on the condition that none of the cheating happened and they both try their best to respect, listen to, and understand each other.

Every time Starfire is in a relationship with Nightwing she is reduced to Nightwing’s love interest. She is a character who has been fighting for agency her whole life, and she deserves for some focus on her own motivations. I think independence is so good for her. I think they have done so much in recent years to prove that Starfire would make an excellent leader if given the chance more often. I think she has potential to be friendly with so many more characters from different areas of the DC universe than she is. She is empathetic and passionate but never backs down from a fight. She is so interesting and I’m so tired of her being in Nightwing’s shadow. I also like that they’ve been working on developing her friendship with Oracle. The rivalry between them- fighting over a boy like they’re not grown adults-is old. Also, for the record, I know we all love shitting on Titans, but her adaptation isn’t nearly as bad as everyone makes it out to be. I like how they emphasize her independence and her willingness to fight, while also portraying her nurturing leadership qualities without coming off motherly.

Stafire's age hasn't clearly been identified throughout her history. Tamaranians also age much differently then humans as well. Artist Jonboy Meyers a couple of years ago claimed she was 18 in New Earth and then possibly 20-23 in New 52. He then confirmed she was 18 again in Rebirth. Being aged up isn't just for her but its' for other Teen Titans. "Aged up" is not just specifically used in terms of her age but it's for relativity to the rest of the DC universe, to expand from just being a Teen Titan in which many of these characters are left and forgotten about. Much of her mainstream popularity has been regulated to the Teen Tians only and her true significance offers much more than that.

I don’t know if this is a unpopular opinion or hot take but I don't think she looks black. I kinda think the Anna Diop casting for her kind of pushed this narrative, even though I dont think that was the intention in her design at all. Her father looks like a freaking Viking. The argument for why a black person can play her could simply be... she's not real and therefore any woman can play her. Outlaws Starfire looks dope, and I think the fact that people only use 1 issue to call that version of her terrible shows how many people that criticize it didn't actually read it to get a full scope of the character. Her and Beast Boy.... I can legit see it. Both very openly emotional characters with great fashion sense and large personalities.

I can understand both sides of this argument. My personal opinion is; it really depends on the writing, if I was going to write Lois I’d probably update the character to be something different than a reporter, like not stray too far but maybe change up the career, like a conspiracy theorist or a magazine writer for the uncanny like cryptids and stuff like Bigfoot, and The Loch Ness Monster, it could make for some fun stories of her trying to uncover the truth of Superman! Not to mention get us new settings to put the character in, like imagine a team up with The Question! 😂 As for versions of Lois that exist right now that I like? I’ll admit all the comic ones kinda blend together after a while, and the only ones I think of fondly are “My Adventures with Superman” and “Superman The Animated Series”.

Starfire is not as strong as superman or any krytonian. Shes not even on wonder womans level😂.
Shes much weaker than that. Shes around wonder girl or donna troys level of power.

- Capable of becoming stronger under a yellow sun and can absorb energy from other Kryptonians
- One shot knockout on Superboy
- Can travel at the speed of light
- Destroyed a Brainiac skull ship with a single laser blast
- Destroyed the Eskaton race who all carried the Anti Life Equation
@@tyrellmultimedia she's also lost to wonder woman, failed to hurt superman at all on 2 occasions (new 52). Stalemated Donna troy. And doesn't have the same Speed feats as superman, especially when it comes to space travel.
What you are talking about are outliers or caughting people off guard. Superman holds back a lot, and she's never fought him when he's serious. And I don't ever recall her besting wonder woman. They had a small scuffle when wonder woman didn't even want to fight her, so I'm not sure if you are even counting that,I don't.
My point is not that she can beat these people. My point is she has great power, and the older she gets, she becomes stronger. And she should respected for such.
