    Amazing that you just happened to be there and capture this. I'm sure it was very meaningful for his family to see this, and as something for his son to remember him by in years to come.
    Thank you Nathan, for your service to a grateful nation. Rest In Peace, and may God Bless your family.

    I was there 3 days before the incident and even talked to one of the soldiers present at the site.
    Sad.

    Remember when the sentry was just there to look pretty?

      Actually the sentries were created to protect the site from ignorant civilians. After a couple too many incidents of people desiccating the monument the military took action by established the sentries to guard the grounds from future disgraceful acts by lowlifes. The purpose has nothing to do with looking pretty!
