I was going to a Telecaster shopping spree and found a store in Trois-Rivieres ,Quebec,Canada for those who have no clue where Quebec is and tried Teles ranging from 800$ to 3000$. I got out the store with a maple neck Godin Session Custom 59 ..case included . This guitar offers so much.
Totally awesome guitars from Godin! These go for almost the same price as a MIM tele in Canada, but are on the level of a US tele with more options! Excellent product!
This really is a great guitar especially for players in covers bands. You get 10 tone options in a really comfortable high quality guitar for an amazing price.
I agree with you MrCorvus about Godin guitar's being underrated. I bought a Godin Session ltd which has a Seymour Duncan Custom Custom in it (AKA Burstbucker type pup) . The guitar sounds great. I actually thought about up grading (or buying another Godin) with the active pups.
Sounds great ... I have a Godin SDxt I got in 2003 which is nice. Another solid-body Godin I've tried out is the Session with single coil pickups at the neck and middle and a humbucker at the bridge which can be split.
Where mine fell down was the poor string trees fitted which make tuning a total mare with trem use, fitting some roller ones has sorted it thankfully, at this price point i would expect locking tuners at least,
If one wanted to be really picky about it, at the very start of the clip I'm listing , Robert Godin says his name so you can hear Godin is more like Go+dahy(n) where the 'n' isn't really pronounced but kind of a nasal ending sound (and Robert is more like Row+bear) - of course this would be a kind of Quebec french accent so other french speakers elsewhere might even say it somewhat differently watch?v=_Dsb27jQslQ
Don't bother dude. Yankees are too dumb to ever learn proper pronunciation of foreign names, countries etc... Remember president Bush and his pronunciation of Iraq ? Lol...
Weird how alike you and I play/comp/solo. Seems you are loosing a tiny bit of possible tone in certain ranges due to the action being a tiny bit too low causing that slight "click" at the beginning of the note and not allowing it to ring true. Anyway... Sounds great other than that and you can of course take it or leave it. Cheers JCG
I do wish that people would stop referring to the vibrato bridge as the 'tremolo'; this is incorrect terminology! It's a stunning guitar, but two string trees on a vibrato equipped guitar is bad news.
Yes, yes, I know but old habits die hard! I'm of the generation that called a whammy/vibrato a tremelo... I'll do my best not to trip on that one in future 😜
One of the most underrated guitar brands IMO. Even if you go down to the very cheapest models you get quality.
100 percent
I agree! I own 3, so far!

Just picked up a Godin Session. Loving it.
I turn up the volume on great guitar demos like this so my neighbors think I play guitar this well.
We can hear you !
Lol
Made my day! 🍻
🤘😇😂
This guitar is so enjoyable to play with. I use it alot
NICE axe! Always liked Godin's innovations between passive/active pick ups!
I had the double cut & regret trading. Awesome sleeper guitars
OMG that was some beautiful playing my friend !!!! I love this ax .on my list
Great demo. Right to the point - the sound and what does what. Have the Session - need to upgrade to the 59.

it sounds very well!nice playing my friend
Excellent review without all the idiotic, childish crap on other sites. Thanks a lot. Great looking and sounding guitar.
Awesome man!!!

Nice présentation, and nive playing ! It's true, it seems to ve a very good guitar, Godin are always underrated...
That is a nice looking take on a nashville telecaster.
Awsome playing ;)
Godin...please bring back Godin Radiators with modern twist...i think that this design has so many possibilities they could revisit that model...
Awesome playing!! You just talked me out of selling mine.
Canadian made sweet axe nice riffs too
What songs were you playing? The tone sounded sublime!
What color does Godin call this? Nascent seen any like it.
What's that guitar on the floor with p90? Are you going to do a review of it?
Godin have to be the most under the radar/under rated brand second maybe only to the USA made peavey's of days gone by
la domanda da porsi è: riconosceresti a orecchio una godin, così come riconosci una fender? o una gibson?
This proves we Canadians are actually better than Americans
In this case the French Canadian 🤘
Is it pronounced "goh-din" or "goh-dan"?
The second. Goh-Dan

i dont think they pronounce the N in french, so its like goh-dan but without the n sound is how they'd say it
It’s pronounced: GO-DIN....I know I am french canadian from Quebec😀

on the font on that amp just reminds me of school ... they always used that font its horrible
Like a hot rodded Tele Deluxe.

im a bit thick in this department, could you elaborate ?
Tremolo is volume up and down, vbrato is the pitch that goes up and down :) I too gets annoyed by the tremolo name!!! It is a vibrato.
looks like a Telecaster but sounds more like a strat to me
I'd say it is neither one. It is *Godin !!!!*
String Trees lol? They must be joking!
Fender copy.next...
learn to pronounce it.
