You have to really rely on alot of different aspects lining up perfectly to make an excellent tutorial. Not to mention the end user has to have the ability to listen in hd. Soooo if someone who never has even made a tutorial starts spreading hate and saying he should be fired, when they themselves dont so much as upload a thing....thats the reason for my statment.

It always seems to me like his tone is fine, but the amp isn't mic'd very well. It makes everything sound a little fuzzy and poppy. I also suspect some people don't have a sufficient connection speed, to get the higher quality sound.
Making good review videos takes equipment. A NICE camera for starters. Not everyone has that or has access to one. Someone who lacks that doesn't necessarily have bad taste, or lack ability. Your argument is invalid.
How do you get a Tele bridge single coil and a fat neck humbucker to sound that awful? This is the kind of tone worthy of a Line 6 spider amp full blast in Guitar Center playing "Sweet Child of Mine"...Does anyone from Guitar World even read the feedback on here?

Ok NORMALLY I try and defend Paul and guitar world in theyre demos... But THIS ONE truelly does sound horriable. I HAVE PLAYED ONE OF THESE and it really doesnt sound anyhing like this. I played through a Fender Deluxe and used a variety of dif distortion pedals. All sounds came through clear. Not like this where the O.D. sounds like your blowing out a cheap pair of headphones!!! I was pretty dissapointed with this one.

Most of the bashing is about his tone. His playing doesn't really get any negative comments. He's an excellent guitarist. His tone is kind of crappy. Perhaps you like it, fine. A lot of people do not. This is a public forum and these things will come up. I'm not a fan of his tone. As for wanting his job, not in this lifetime. It's cool he makes a living doing something he likes but there is nothing appealing from the looks of it to me.
Yes!! Finally a variation on the Tele Deluxe, and not the usual LP copy. I love Godin guitars.
bought one used a few years back and its still the best guitar I've ever owned (this one beats out my MIM tele)
I'm glad to see that Paul hasn't gone rusty on those chops, personaly I think that he is a great guitarist.
Godin builds a great guitar. I've played a few of them and haven't found one I don't like. Plus, they're relatively inexpensive.

I have A strat, tele, les paul. Godin has the best neck and easiest to play on. My session custom is my " first grab" guitar. It's so easy to play.
Why review a guitar and barely give us a glimpse of the clean tone?

you are correct. tone is a personal taste. some people are going to like his tone and others aren't.
"what sounds good" is subjective to every individual person. What one person may think sounds great, another person may think sounds crappy.

I have to say, the humbucker is the only pickup I cared for in this demo.
Godin is a French surname. Paul is pronouncing it right. I knew someone was going to bring that up.
