What, only two likes so far?!!! What the heck’s wrong with you peoples? 😁 Great video. I prefer all in one sitting videos, but I understand how long it takes for those longer ones to upload, so doing whatever works best for you is fine with me, with one serious caveat - make sure if at all possible to place links for every multi-part job on every one of the parts so future viewers don’t have to spend hours trying to find the rest AND place all parts in one Playlist so that’s easy to find and watch in order. Yes, subbed a while back. Like your easy-going but clear style. Humor and aphorisms on par with Eric O. of South Main Auto, although I don’t watch for entertainment, but to learn. You teach well, so the rest is just icing on the cake. Yeah, I was definitely scratching my head trying to figure out how that much water got into the crankcase. Now it all makes sense.
I've been fighting with my own similar age yardworks with a 10.5 all winter. The entire machine is falling to bits, but that little Tecumseh motor is holding strong. Looking forward to part 2!
They are very capable blowers well designed for the most part. however the housing is the weak link in the chain. The tecumseh will make it flex, bend, and crack over time.
Thank you Doug. It would be great to actually see you put the carburetor back on and all the connections for the carburetor. I have a 6 hp original car from the year 2000. Having a hard time to make her run smooth. She ran 3 weeks ago find. This past week not so good. I have cleaned carb on machine drains gas new oil cleaned the idle jet behind the rubber cap also cleaned the main fixed jet bolt. This past time she puttering and won’t run on low idle she dies. Need help on what else I can try. Thanks
I use Super Tech motor oil in my snowblowers and lawn mower a lot of people told me super tech motor oil is garbage I told them all it matters it works
More videos on the simplicity blower would be great. I just got a used one and I think she needs some work and would like to figure it out myself. Only runs well when choked half way. Engine oil was very watery as well. Would just like to learn more about this blower. Thanks!
@@DougvCarburetor I appreciate that. Hopefully you are able to do that video soon. Pretty darn sure I just got the same Simplicity as you had in that video.
I decided against it as there was no good way for me to get all the rust out. Ultimately it would have led to more ugly rust, so I sprayed the inside of the clamshell down with fluid film and sent it out the door
That clip is part number 631022 Jacks Small Engines and Small Engine Parts Warehouse has em. But the more economical option is 631021B which has bowl gasket, needle, seat, needle clip, and bowl nut gasket for main.
Doug v Carburetor also after you Spray the Sea Foam on rust on the carburetor clean off with little wire brush it will lift the rust off. Spray the rust with Sea Foam Deep creep let it set for few minutes and clean off with wire brush
You are absolutely right! I did change it before running and again after the first run to get any water, soap, tater tot… whatever was hiding in there. Haha
i like it when you show how to fix the stuff
Thanks bud. I will do more of that then

Pour little bit of Sea Foam in the gas tank and some in the gas can

New Ariens snowblower have AX engine from over sea
Best time lapse yet.

When you pull out the dipstick and it looks like a Wendy's frosty, that's not really a good thing.
When you go to drain oil and it’s clear water.. 🤦♂️

Sounds like a dirty carb to me. I will be doing a video on my personal machine which is a Simplicity soon. It needs its annual cleaning

Try clean the rust off the carburetor with Sea Foam Deep creep it will lift most rust off
Thanks bud! I will give that a try
