Consider you have about 4 people behind every Infantry man. Food, fuel, ammo, medical, maintenance. Its probably easy to lose a war with poor logistics.
That seems a very good answer to the question. Modern warfare is heavily industrialized. You can't advance or defend effectively if you can't supply your troops.

The only and biggest thing I worried when Pootin invaded the Ukraine was the gas price. After 7 months it hurt my wallet a bit but not as much as when hurricane Katrina hit, and I think it's a little price to pay to see Pootin to collapse.
The "Gas" that Germany and other countries was getting from Russia was "Natural Gas" & Propane. That fires the stove and the furnace.
. Petrol which the U.S. calls gasoline was NOT coming from Russia, petrol comes from crude oil then they distill it to get all the fuels, petrol and diesel and asphalt & plastics (except Natural Gas) Russia was importing oil from Iraq, Iran(but it is a minimal amount because hardly anybody has a CAR. Most cars would be diesel and most fuel would be diesel for the military vehicles. Kerosene is coal oil which can also be used in diesel engines. Jets fly on kerosene (as at high altitude diesel will jell up in fuel lines which in a car is no big deal but at 10,000 feet it matters)
. The reason for the increased fuel prices is that CEO's are giving themselves a wage increase and blaming the disruption on fuel supplies to the Hurricanes and the tie up in the Suez canal that took a dozen days to fix. Fuel is part of the supply chain. Then Wall Street investors are shorting the stock which artificially raises the price at the pump...as they make money. They got caught once doing that but I guess the fine was not big enough.
. In short, we get no oil from Russia.

I don’t know if this has been mentioned here, but consumer grade components are lower rated than higher grade commercial, industrial and military graded parts. Generally ICs for consumer goods are encased in plastic, while higher graded parts are often encased in metal or ceramic cases. That’s for higher rated temperatures and higher vibration resistance. That’s obviously needed for military equipment, and particularly ordnance such as smart shells, bombs, missiles, etc. consumer grade goods may fail under those conditions. They are not rated at the number of gravities that shells and missiles undergo. They are designed for products sitting firmly on the floor or a shelf.🇺🇸🇺🇦
Yes good point. But logic and the rashists mind set are perfect strangers, and never the twain shall meet
Yup, US weapon components must confirm to MIL Spec. Commercial parts that function similar to military parts could easily malfunction in high G and heat environments
Adjusting your missile to a wool wash program and see it lift off in fluffy soap mountain. I like also the idea of a tank going "ping" every time it wants to fire. They might be on to something here.
Excellent point. The use of domestic chips in military systems makes about as much sense as sending conscript troops into combat without proper training or equipment, oh wait.
See, this is how you can tell you're brainwashed.
I hope the US is doing a thorough supply chain analysis to see if we have similar vulnerabilities.
Factories to produce our own microchips and semiconductors are being built as we speak as part of the Infrastructure bill. Yes, I'm sure we have analyzed our vulnerabilities, among all the other things having our own production will be useful for, and under Biden's administration are actually taking action.
We do have those vulnerabilities and lack surge manufacturing capacity and diversity that got us through WWII.
@@joenic4303 we don't lack that capacity. That's what the Defense Production Act is for. Whenever there is a State of Emergency enacted then the Defense Production Act can be enacted to convert whatever factories we need into overdrive to produce whatever product we need to fulfill the emergency need the nature of the emergency calls for.
@@sheilamartin880 Glad to hear it. I'm going off a contact who based on a DOD briefing shared that our equipment is so specialized that we lack the ability to undergo surge manufacturing like we did with tanks and bombers during WWII, meaning it takes much longer to produce one unit. We have access to raw materials like titanium, etc. but alot of our manufacturing now sits overseas Im told. Part of addressing this is a new TMCS plant being built behind my home in Phoenix. I just hope we can close any gaps soon.
We actually don’t have that problem.
As far as the US and its allies continuing to support Ukraine in its defense, their annual defense budgets exceed the current expenditures even as their primary threat to the west is being unproportionally reduced. There will be a windfall of defense saving for the west once Russia is defeated in Ukraine.
China is the primary threat, it will blow anything russia is doing out of the water 10 years from now. Why can't we all just get along?
Exactly dude. People can't seem to wrap their heads around that fact. It's not even difficult to figure out if you just think about what military spending is for.
Agree with you 💯
It’s called money-laundering. They did it in Afghanistan and now they’re doing it in Ukraine.
Russia will never be defeated , it’s impossible, they could launch a nuclear attack , and there won’t be any Ukraine left to fight for, no one will ever nuke Russia as they have their doomsday system . One missle comes into Russia and it’ll signal all of Russias nukes to launch . Russia had this won from the beginning . Ukraine better think up a peace plan quick ! Putin is not bluffing .
We must spend what it takes to help Ukraine. That’s far more cost effective than letting this turn into WWIII
the deputy treasury secretary seems really well versed!
Pressure must be put onto China to follow the sanctions and not provide Russia with the electronic parts and equipment they need. Peace to Ukraine.
Agreed
I had no idea that technology so advanced, such as microchips, nation states like Russia struggle to manufacture it.
Russia har hardly any industry at all, 95% of their income comes from natural resources.
The quote “Russia is a gas station with nukes” is scary accurate.
Very few countries do, America doesn't either that's why Biden recently passed the chips act to try to bring some production back to the USA.
@@kwlkid85 I am not sure what you meant that "America doesn't". Biden funded semiconductor fabs just in case China decides to invade Taiwan and takes over TSMC fab, which is the biggest fab dominating semiconductor technologies. That doesn't mean US don't have any semiconductor to fab chipset, giving few names here Global Foundry(acquired IBM TSI Foundry), Intel (its fabs have capability to meet world demand, just like they fab CPU, GPU, SoC chipsets), Samsung, Microchip, Jazz, UMC, etc.
Most US DoD contractors high tech either have their own or fab with Global Foundry, which is US company. Northdrop and DARPA have their own fab for all classified chips.
you cant have dictatorship and best science.a lot of bese russian scientist go to the west, especially USA
They might buy them in China... China I think are making these microchips
They use Maytag spin cycle control chips to put spin in their missiles!
Russia isn't running out of missiles. Look back in March they said Russia was running out of missiles 2 weeks in. The US used dumb bombs in Afghanistan. Only 200,000 Russian combat soldiers out of 1 million were sent to Ukraine. The rest of the soldiers, missiles, tanks and fighter planes for NATO
On the bright side for the Russians their tanks now come with a Sani Rinse function while others can bake a potato.
How did the old quote go? Something like ,"Amatuers specialize in tactics, professionals in logistics."
Dismantling dishwashers and microwaves? I have my doubts that this claim is reasonable.
In such appliances there are specific, although, as well, programmable microchips, that are soldered in. The failure rate of such recycled microchips would be high. Then, every device has its tailored solution that is mostly not optimal for others. The requirements for military devices are far different. I'm curious to learn of a specific example.
Blessed the allies ❤
So this guy is telling us that the popping tank turrets might be linked to microprocessors scavenged from pop up toasters?
I read an article on that problem and it seem the US had a problem in the first M1A1's Abrams' turrets were lifted off simply by the power of an IED, without a secondary explosion.
The Russian tanks have the problem but from a different design flaw, what is called the “jack-in-the-box effect,” this type of apocalyptic explosion is caused when a blast’s heat or shockwave causes all the tank’s ammunition to detonate. The resulting over pressure blows the tank’s turret straight up into the air.
@@Rick-or2kq Also the missiles in the Russian tanks are in a circle surrounding the tank driver. Image sitting inside that. Poor guys.

You mean ...Happy to hear b.s.....Just a week ago Russia fired 83 missiles at Kyiv resulting in the destruction of power stations (part of the targets) leaving Kyiv desperately short of electricity. CNN says that Russia has big problems getting weapons. It is time for CNN to end this propaganda b.s. which is not serving Ukraine any meaningful purpose. If Russia is really short of weapons, these many missiles would not have been fired in the first place. Also, some of the targets in Kyiv were destroyed by Iran made UAVs. Is Ukraine unable to destroy these Iranian UAVs? If so, Nato weapons supplied to Ukraine must really suck when compared to Iran's.
It is really easy to make a drone matter of fact I think they made about 50,000 in the first phase.
We're running low on supplies and we aren't in a war.
