I really enjoy your channel. I am blind and also autistic and really love the sound of the coasters. My dad and I go to Gatlinburg and pigeon Forge a lot to ride him but we haven’t rolled some of these so we’re going to try to find them and write them and then I’m gonna post them on our UA-cam channel when we do. I really want you to know I love your channel this is awesome thank you for making a person like me have a happy day. This is the best I’ve seen yet. Mom and dad and I watched it together and they explained how the coasters worked which made me smile from ear to ear.😮
I hope you can get this response. I love his voice too. He sounds like a narrator for a fairy tale or a movie trailer. Specifically, Hoyt Axton. Stay Well
super frustrating when you have to slow down for someone, especially when the operators stack up cars so tight it's unavoidable, smokey mountain has always been my favorite
Man thank you so much for this video. You just saved me WORLD of upset-ness! I was so focused on Ripley, I didn't Even know these other ones existed. I'm planning a trip there this Halloween. Thank you brotha for the great insight!
I’m glad you uploaded this because it saves me the trouble of riding them. I’ll still probably ride one just to feel it but now I see that they aren’t worth it. Luckily only a 2 hour drive for me
Very nice footage, thanks. I was a kid in the 70s when the first of it's kind was built at ober. There were no tracks just a halfpipe type trough that was built up a little higher on the curves, and no seat belt just a cart you sat on and pulled the lever up for the wheels to engage or let go to slow down. You could go surprisingly fast and it was quite possible to fly out of the trough as some people did. I slowed down and only almost went over but the freedom was so good except for the slow riders ahead that were often "accidentally" slammed into. If they just totally enclosed the turns on that ride and made the carts with wheels engaged, it would be the greatest again.
Thanks for making this video. I only wish we had found it BEFORE we went to Gatlinburg this past weekend. We only rode Goats on the Roof, but It was fun. Now I have my bucket list started for our next trip to Tennessee.
We live really close to Pigeon Forge, TN, so my 23 year old daughter and 70 year old father are going for an adventure together for a day trip. I am so glad I ran into this video you have made. When planning things to do in this town it is easy to get overwhelmed. This makes it much easier to plan appropriately per ages. Thank you for solving my worrying. You worked hard and did a great job. Thanks again.
So far, I've been on the Smoky Mountain Alpine Coaster and the Goat Coaster with the latter one being my favorite of the two. My goal is to ride at least one new mountain coaster every time I am in the area until I've done all of them. By the way, you missed out on at least three others; the Gatlinburg Mountain Coaster, the Tennessee Flyer at Ober Gatlinburg, and the Rail Runner at Anakeesta. A new one also opened in Pigeon Forge not too long ago called the Lost Mine.
Yeah. Soon after posting this I was made aware of the ones I missed. Don’t worry, I’m planning a sequel. The mission remains incomplete and I cannot stand for that.
I'm so glad you posted this. I'm headed that way this weekend and I was disappointed by the weight limit on the Anakeesta mountain coaster, but after seeing all these it looks like the weight limits are much higher on most others so I'm looking forward to riding one or two!
@@SmoakinThrillssure sounds like it. Kinda dickish if you ask me... I however, absolutely loved this video! Enough so that I have subscribed to your channel!
Thank you for letting me know that they make you ride twice for for the first one. And thank you for showing the line. Most people don't show that, and I was wondering what they look like. Definitely subscribing! Awesome shirt by the way!
Two rides per person? Do they have measures put in place to stop tightwads coming with two kids and dividing the ride between two kids? And no way of being able to bring four kids and putting two kids into one cart? One person per cart, two rides per person? And no way can an adult ride with a kid - single riders only! In your imagination, take some of the best bits of each coaster and create a massive marathon one in a VR environment - with the option of daylight or night time with an even more fantastic light show than that - it’s VR, so you can do anything! It’s also in the setting of your own home, so no need to drive for miles, no queues, no need to spend loads of cash or anything - also no height restrictions!
The Ripley's coaster used to be Hungry Bear. We loved it because you got as many rides on the coster as you could in an hour for one price. We went during a dead time and made MANY trips down. :-)
Was hoping you were going to mention the price of each - seems like each one will cost $20-30. The double-up one is sort-of weird. Thanks for sharing your experience with us!
Hello! Would I be able to use about 10 seconds of your external footage of the Ripley's Mountain Coaster? Going to post a video and missed getting that footage. Loved this video and absolutely loved your energy!
Rocky Top is probably the worst one we've been on, too broken up like you said. Our favorite so far is Wild Stallion, then Smoky Mountain for the top ones.
❤Absolutely love your video, i thought of doing it myself. Ya beat me to it. Such a great job! Wild Stallion is probably my favorite but i truly love them all.
Thank you for this video! We're going in 2 weeks. You saved me a ton of time, plus, I enjoyed this immensely! Question: Explain the drift track part to me, please. I know the movies, but how does it relate to the coaster?
Me and my kids are there right now, my kids are wanting to ride one..which one do you recommend for a kid that’s 7 that has been on big roller coasters and doesn’t get scared on any ride and a 5 year old who likes rides but not ones that are too fast 😂 I need to find one that they both will have fun
I got scared watching these for the first time on other channels, but yours made me relaxed, because you're talking as you're going down. Somehow relieves the stress, maybe I could actually get on these one day, I think I could handle it! I'm curious how they get the cars back up the mountain. I also noticed ski lifts going up, is that how you get to the top of these rollercoaster sites?
I gotta give it to PF purely for Dollywood. But Gatlinburg is a wonderful town. And to top it off, they are literally just a few minutes apart from one another.
@@MRSTEEL15 not accurate. You can drive straight from PF through the national park to Gat in about ten mins. Sevierville>PF>Gatlinburg. In that order on the highway.
Bears and mountain lions don’t go out of their way to mess with us. Most interactions with them are over food or because WE wandered into THEIR house. I wouldn’t expect a wild animal out there to want anything to do with something this loud, covered in lights, and constantly surrounded by yelling humans.

The GOAT COASTER is definitely my favorite! Cant wait to go back and ride it again, and try some of the ones you reviewed here!
Goats on The Roof was our favorite! Especially at night!

Hellbender at Anakeesta is another one. I did not know about Wild Stallion.
Exactly the video I was looking for! There’s too many to choose from. I only wish you had added the prices of each. What do these normally run?
I love goats on the roof. Yes best mountain coaster!
Thank you for this video! Rode Wild Stallion last night it was awesome! Expensive for family of 5 but worth it 🎉

Oops, Rowdy Bear. Not Hungry Bear.
So much fun! Each one is very different! I think I’m partial to the Smoky Mountain Alpine Coaster 😊
Great info man. Our Kids always want to go to the Moonshine MC. I want them to see there are others out there that could be better !
Will be heading here soon to do some MTBing. I'll have to hit these up thanks for the video. Did you use a gopro to record these? Or just a cell phone
Thank you so much for this video!! Super enjoyable and very helpful!! 😊
Thank YOU for watching!
Yep, the lit track is cool.
Great informative video!
The 7-8 minutes on the Smokey mountain alpine coaster factors in the 5 minutes it takes to climb to the top :)
Appreciate this video! My family and I are driving to Gatlinburg from Michigan in September, and we definitely want to do the coasters 🎢!!
Thank you for this video! I was wondering which coasters I wanted to ride and you have did the work for me. And for that, I have subscribed...
Have fun!
Are these all hard on your neck, with the jerking around? Or is there a one that is better?
I just subbed. I had a friend go down the one with the lights last Halloween and they had scare actors where it slows down lol
Rocky Top was making me mad for you lol. Cant even enjoy the action. Thanks for this great vid.
My kids tried the Rocky Top at night and liked it but it was a semi long wait... that was also Spring Break
Helices is the proper plural of helix. Awesome video. I'm so jealous we have nothing like that where I'm at.

How much brake were you applying during these runs?
None except for when that one lady forced me to slow down so I wouldn’t hit her
