The wait is only a couple of months but I agree…it feels much longer and is going to be brutal!
Yeah, the new iPhones got announced later and released a lot sooner. If I wanted to I could have a new iPhone 15 in less than 2 weeks. I want procreate dreams and I can’t have it for a few months

Performance mode is something I wish more creative apps had. Just seems intuitive

Thanks so much for doing a long-ish video on this! It was super exciting to get to see the demo. I’ve been slowly learning animation, but with this app coming in November, I’m feeling ready to pick up my pace and see what I can do to dig into fundamentals and improve. Currently going through Aaron Blaise’s animation classes. (Also, yes, the price for this app is amazing!)

Holding down undo to save files at a lower size then bringing it back is brilliant if I’m understanding that right. Though it makes me wonder if that could just be built in since saving the brushstroke movement not the brushstroke image itself might be less data - possibly only adding delay to file load and file playback. That all being said it’s very snappy, I’m just limited on space. Very excited to mess with this.
After watching, bought Dreams (10 days before release). Bought Procreate when I first heard about it and use it far more often than my Adobe CC bundle. Thanks for the long video!

This is just amazing, there seems to be a lot to learn, the guy’s tutorial was not very inspirational until you explained bits and you did the little girl. I can’t wait to follow you and see what can be done. Thank you.
There’s definitely a lot “under the hood” and many ways to approach something…lots to learn!

Can't wait. I'd say 1,000,000 purchases on day one. So hope $19 million is good for them. Some say take more money, make it subscription, but whoa Charlie, FCPX is only $50 so Savage priced this exactly right.
Agreed! It’s nice to see a company that takes the pulse of the community and listens to their customer base…all around very cool!
I'm curious how easy it will be to animate on 2's and 3's? I'd imagine you can just copy whatever you need to copy. But I'll be interested to see how much trouble it will be to select Cinema (24 fps), but jump around between animating on 1's, 2's, and 3's.

Was interested to get your take on this. Thanks. For me, personally, I don't see it as a commerial outlet. I was a bit disappointed that there weren't any enhancements to Procreate, but can see there will be based on this system. I will buy this when it's launched. It will be fun to play and I want to support the company in whatever they do.
Yeah…they said a lot of the tech behind this release will make its way over to Procreate as well (drawing outside of the canvas, pixels/resolution, etc.)
Does Procreate Dreams have vector brushes like Toonsquid?
Not as of now- same brushes as Procreate

Is it just me or does that screen look bigger than the regular 12.9 inch iPad. It might because half the screen is is taken up by the UI. That looks like 15 inches. It's a honest question and I quickly looked through the comments. No one mentioned this so this guy must have small hands.

Procreate Dreams is not for me for it might not work on my iPad and I do hope that the UA-camrs don't forget us that still use Procreate

I’m so excited to learn Procreate Dreams. It would have been awesome if they would have provided you with a beta version for my UA-cam’s favorite teacher. Hopefully, Procreate Dreams will get a beta version to you so we can begin learning together while we wait for the November 22nd release date.
A question I’ve not seen answered. You can import audio, of course. But does that mean you can animated frame by frame TO that audio? Like can I scrub along and draw my keys according to the audio track, then go back and refine it better? Will this make animating lip synch easier?
Definitely a must. Callipeg, another great animation app has an amazing solution, as you scrub through frames the app will play the slice of audio that would go over the current frame. So when you scrub through you cam hear the whole thing in context but you also know exactly which sound lands on which frame.

At this rate of offerings, I would still buy if they kept a low cost at full major upgrades(i.e. 2.0 to 3.0, etc).
Adobe and others may still reign (complex features and legacy with industry) but Savage Interactive, how are you longterm sustaining? Volume sales versus high pricing? How many other apps in your labs?! Not complaining. Just wondering how you were able to hear artists and deliver while others didnt even bother to fix interface complaints on theirs?

It’s unknown yet, but if it doesn’t work, ToonSquid is a great option

Weird place to put this question but: Your grip for the apple pencil, does it trigger the double tap change for the eraser? I just switched to an upgraded iPad/Pencil and its something that has been bugging the ass off of me.

Did they say how long of an animation sequence will be possible?
unlimited time from what I know and a maximum canvas of 1millionx1million pixels not even kidding
AI can be done correctly though. Find artist that you can pay for training data. I understand why people have a hate boner for it but it honestly can be helpful. Work with technology rather against it
I think the main problem currently is that it’s not being done that way…hence the hate.
Yes but some art programs can have diffusion algorithms to take the artist’s work without them realizing. And procreate won’t do that. Companies are greedy and won’t pay if they don’t have to
