You're such a talented and patient person... I really loved your piano recital, it was really beautiful. Such a peaceful music to listen to, musicians practicing piano as well as you do always amazes me... Thank you for your dedication towards the Yu-Gi-Oh community while training your piano skills (which should take a lot of time in your life). I've watched and re-atched the Ritual Beast in-depth combo video for hours and hours and you made the possibility of playing RB for me possible, while I thought the deck was too hard to play! And this Melodious combo video also really helps me to understand how to interact with the deck. So, thank you!
Thanks for the combo guide. Planning to play Melodious at Nationals, so wanted some good informative content to get me up-to-date with the best setups.
Would love to see the extra deck now with the appo ban; the onmi negate option is pretty free so it makes sense but the pure board is actually super sticky.
Would love to see how u go 2nd with the deck. Maybe some gameplay footage. Anything to help learn how to actually play out turns with the deck. Thanks for the content!
100% agree on the pure endboard being nasty, your so safe from non engibe thanks to aria that you can just sit and wait for your opponent to hit an choke point for etoile to fire on without fear.
Ive made this deck is master duel a few days ago and now I finally understand just how much I was butchering its combo lines, thank you very much for this guide and for helping me to not play like a donkey
I personally like the aria, elegy lock where I can’t be targeted or destroyed by battle as well as can’t be destroyed by card effects. There are a lot of decks that just struggle to break it
There are a couple of factors that determine which endboard to go for. If you start prosperity then your main banishes will be the Omni negate engine so you go for pure endboard. Also, if you start with 1st solo movement or refrain you’ll have to go for pure endboard. Overall the pure endboard is the majority play and honestly the better play in most cases since it still plays around hand traps, checkmates most decks, but also provides better follow-up since you don’t go through all of your refrains and couplets when making the pure boards. I will say that the Omni board is great post side bc it gives you a better time against board breakers, but you basically have to find ostinato specifically to make it, so I just don’t think it’s worth the 4-5 extra deck slots. You’re better off using those slots for generic monsters (s:p, protector of agents moon, donner, Ty-phon, bagooska, etc).
Pretty nice combo vid. A small nitpick I have is that the second checkmarked part mentions 'after prosp', which by assuming you've gone for prosp, you cannot Concerto draw sadly. But I guess it's just about letting it wait until next turn.
for the pure end board its better to send sonata off refrain cause you can add back the with shapina, link into bloom, discard the draw ss aria and soprano, soprano add sonata, sonata ss, fuse for another schuberta. then you have aria, 2x schuberta, bloom, and etolie. thanks for showing me the lines brother wouldnt have found that one without you.
this is a great tutorial for new melodious players. Some thoughts to elevate your play: - If you have enough melodious cards in hand, always try to pendulum summon Aria as soon as possible, this helps play around Imperm and Veiler on Bloom Harmonist. if harmonist gets negated its not a fun time. - If you are playing a Tamtam/Fusion Sub version of this deck, send Tamtam and Refrain for Ostinato for the best endboards. - If you know your opponent is not playing any handtraps, there are some lines off Ostinato that get Etoile + Aria + 2 Schuberta, which will help play the max interruption board which is really difficult to lose on. - If you get shiftered, you can go Refrain -> Canon to XYZ into bagooska. Most shifter decks can't do much about bagooska and you will have 4 other cards for follow up + handtrap interruption.
Hi i have a question when you take back cuoplet from graveyard at combo 3: cuoplet says that you can summon monsters in yuor hand or GRAVEYARD, does not refrain go to the extra deck when you summon Bacha at the beginning? Thank you so much
so my one burning question is people seem split on running the more pure melodious extra deck vs the vortex dragon line in fact your the only one ive seen running the vortex line outside of the ones using it as an engine, so do you think the odd-eyes line is better in the extra deck or do you think the pure melodious combos are better? or would it be better if i put the pure melodious extra deck cards in my side deck and side them out or in instead of staples to interchange them?
The only issue I have is that if you start with 1st movement to summon aria then do the refrain combo you will not be able to activate refrain scale effect to target your fusion monster because they cannot be targeted by either player so dont do that if you need to resolve the foolish
what exactly do you do after bacha gets imperm'd and you go into Grav. controller? Bacha in GY summons back a Melodious, likely refrain, maybe shopina. Then what?
Great video and great music. So, i have a question. What board would you choose to make against Branded, Voiceless and Tempai if you had Ostinato in hand ?
Make gravity, bacha to summon back refrain from gy, refrain for couplet or soprano depending on which ever is already in gy (get the other), then you’re off to the races. (Side note: if you want to go into the link 2 you’ll have to tribute summon couplet over gravity controller so that you have only melodious names).
1 play I have been making that I would like your thoughts on is that I always schuberta 3 useless cards in my GY at the end of my turn, then etoile my board in the end phase, resetting my Schuberta's "once while face up on the field" effect but keeping the permanent 600 attack gain
You can run unicorn or just opt out of I:p and have appo and vortex or if you play pure endboard you can make melodious link 2 instead to summon aria and elegy. Also you could replace with s:p with donner dagger fur hire to clear nib token if you’re in that situation ever or protector of the agents - moon to out floodgates.
Probably not a lot. But for sure, that 3rd would help. At least you're not like some of us that didn't grab a playset of 1st Movement Solo. And now it's way too much for a super ($40-45 for a Super rare). So we have to settle for more handtraps, Crossout, or Small World to fill those 3 voids in the deck.
what about Elegy? pure Melodious endboard is susceptible to early Raigeki, Lightning Storm etc. of course you can use Etoile to save all monsters but you leave empty board to get an OTK. Aria paired with Elegy makes the board almost impossible to out as there are no mass no-target banish cards. imo Elegy is worth playing. you can summon her from Bloom Harmonist or pend summon when hard drawn overall, great video!
you can put your monsters in defense to play around storm and nobody plays raigeki/dark hole and hasn’t for a while now. elegy is just an extra brick most of the time and not necessary
@@Machina4Fun playing in defense is great idea. but there will also be a lot of Ghost Ogre this format and you have to take into account any in-engine destruction. I don't think that 1of Elegy is that much of a brick when you have multiple ways to get to her and summon her to the board
@@szymonsadlo i can see it’s use but I definitely wouldn’t main it at least. I think it could be an option post side going 1st. One of the application for it off the top of my head would be against Tenpai, as you don’t have a super efficient way of dealing with tenpai field spell into an unaffected black rose dragon clearing your board. I’ll definitely mess around with Elegy a bit more for that reason at least and maybe i’ll find more use for it.
I'd say Elegy is worth running. For generic stuff like Raigeki it would depend on the power level of decks people are playing around you, maybe they're filling up slots with useful and affordable stuff. There's playable stuff that could circunvent the Aria lock: Kirin in Fire Kings, Legartia in Centur-Ion, Dis Parter shuffle your own cards in banishment, Brute in Dinomorphia, Ceasar in Vanquish Soul, etc. She's also an extra name for fusions if you hard open Concerto. Being a Lv5 you can rarely just normal summon it over random stuff that got into your board like a Nib or Gen/Ken.
Honestly don’t think it’s worth the ed space lol. You can really only make when you open ostinato, but it burns through all of your refrains and couplets, so you lose a ton of follow up.
If you summon the two that grand battle protection and destruction protection and have all of them in defense position, then tenpai can't do anything. Well, as long as you didn't summon another monster in attack position
If you’re having trouble with tenpai you can add bloom diva melodious choir to ed and play elegy as well. Other than that you can just keep bouncing all of their stuff in bp and hand trap them to death lol
Nah playing piano and cooking with melodious is just a vibe. Jojo is on a whole other level.

i like this melody
In the first combo Odd Eyes would also be able to return Nib to the hand, if they special it in attack that is :)
Very informative! Thanks for the hard work.
Love the vid! But correct me if I'm wrong, I don't think Bacha can be impermed/veilered as her effect covers herself as well?
Bacha can infact be negated.
Lol my friend is playing that piece for his jury, the beginning is sick
playing Heroic Polonaise while cooking with Melodious is just something else lol
would you still play this deck post INFO? if so, any changes? Thanks!

Whats the play if Bacha gets impermed and you go into Gravity Controller. What happens after this? What's the endboard?
Make gravity, bacha to summon back refrain from gy, refrain for couplet or soprano depending on which ever is already in gy (get the other), then you’re off to the races. (Side note: if you want to go into the link 2 you’ll have to tribute summon couplet over gravity controller so that you have only melodious names).
@collingarrison4467 , ahh that makes sense. I was wondering how you rid of Gravity Controller. Forgot that you can tribute summon over him. Thanks!
You can go into the link 2, but because you've summoned gravity controller you can't use blooms effect

Pretty sure Schuberta forgets its attack gain when it leaves the field. It goes back to its original stats when it returns.
@@mythriljojo Thanks!

Bacha will summon one from grave, most likely the refrain to get couplet.
