I'm one of the beta testers for the initial fs2020, and I learned something today! Thanks for your work. One of my criticisms throughout has been the lack of teaching aids/documentation. Videos like this really help.

Would love to see the PMDG 737 import procedure. :) Also, SimBrief just came out with a downloader program that will download your latest flight plan in an appropriate format and put them into folders that are specified by the user, so no more digging around in the Packages folders.
Part 2 would be great, also using Simbrief and Importing into Navigraph 8, I seem to be getting hung up bringing Flight Plan into Navigraph. Also refresher on adding Simbrief into FMC on 737. Thank you sir, appreciate your time and effort in educating us.

(I really don't like the ghost image of the Tobii Eye Tracker at the start sorry. ) I think there will be many people who would gain a lot for the more complex planes like the PMDG fleet. Another issue I have is working out the Cost index, but that's for another time. Thank you for all your hard work behind the scenes and all the great knowledge you pass down on every flight. Can't wait for the next instalment

Good video... I recently got back into MSFS and am having trouble with the flight plans for 787 not loading in when choosing Low Altitude Airways... ATC still takes me up to FL410 and there is no altitudes loaded in for the descent... so I get up to the destination still at FL 410 🙄 Thanks I will try Sim Brief later on ... and yes I know I should be up high in the sky, but I like looking at the scenery 🤗
The only issue is that if you select a SID from the drop-down menu, it starts you on a runway instead of a taxiway. The only way to prevent that is to enter the SID waypoints manually - which sort of defeats the purpose of having an importing feature. SimBrief themselves said that they don’t know how to fix that.
Great video, been using simbrief for years, a little feedback, the simbrief window being stuck in a small space in the middle makes it hard to read, would have been better (imo) to lose the 737 background and have simbrief full screen
Love this video, great explanation. Help me with something that has been vexing me and I see it happening here in your video as well. Go to 7:30 in your video and watch how MSFS cannot handle a SimBrief .pln with a cold dark parking/gate start AND a departure that isn't anything except "Direct". You chose a Parking spot and then you chose a departure. As soon as you chose the departure, the starting point reverted back to the active runway associated with the departure. Just watch in the video as you chose to change the "Direct" departure to SY2 16R Departure. As soon as you did that it changed your chosen start from Parking 92 to Runway 16R. Am I insane? This did not happen before.
Yes, in the drop down it had the runway selected. However if you zoom in the yellow line was there from parking to runway. Just MSFS with a little bug with the world map. (just to spice things up)

Everything goes as advertised until I hit the spacebar, at which point nothing happens. Is there a way to download the flight plan once in flight mode?
excellent video!! at one point I was able to hit the ‘V” key on my keyboard to bring up a map that would track the planes movement, the V key does not activate the map now, is that maybe because I have an actual flight plan plugged into the sim??
Will def try. Hoopt it works. I've been having trouble getting the FBW A320 flying. I assume it has to do with a conflict with the flight plan. When ever i take off after almost 30 min of prepping aircraft with real time boarding etc. etc. the game crashes. When i do nothing no flight plan or what so ever just start engines and fly manually out its all good. Anybody got anymore suggestions?
Why can't MSFS just use world map this Sim brief is a pain and i just dont have the time to mess around it just takes to long to work out World map is easier

Oh that's a bug. I was fighting it all the time by fiddling with the departure/transition in Simbrief.

Simbrief is more accurate to a real life plan. Part two coming soon.
